The Lie episode 12

THE LIE 12 (Final)

Today marks 9 months since my wife took in. We were together in the kitchen, I was cooking and she was assisting me. Don’t think she’s the only one who knows how to cook. I’m also a good chef. I taught her how to make pepper soup, she also taught me how to make egusi soup.

She was jisting or should I say gossiping with me about a neighbor of ours who got divorced. She said it’s bcos the woman is dirty. How on earth does she know that the woman is dirty!? na wa o… After sometime she began to complain that her waist hurts so I told her to sit and rest but it got even worst. Could it be the baby coming? just immediately, her water broke and confirmed my assumption. I rushed her to the hospital and called her mother.

After all the tension, running up and down the baby came. My Ify is a strong woman, it didn’t take much time as I expected. It was a baby girl. The moment I held my first fruit, I felt butterflies in my belle. I was over joyed! See as she fine…

I brought in my wife’s mother for the omugo thing. It took 2 months b4 my mom in-law decided to go back. 2 good months without knack. Just after we said farewell to mama I told my wife that I’ve missed her and she gave me a bad look. I jejely wanted to walk out but she held me back “so it’s bcos of this small thing u want to walk out on me? I’m just pulling ur legs… I’ve missed u too” she said and I smiled. I don’t remember who started kissing first but the rest is history.

Marriage or genuine relationship is not always a bed of roses. It takes 2 to tangle. You need compaction to relate. You need understanding, knowing ur partners weak and strength buttons and making use of them at the right spot. No one is perfect! U can only work out the perfect one… I wake up every morning with smiles on my face. Each time I think of the past experience I do laugh about it. Her lies has made me discovered a lot of things…
Many thanks to our biographer, Miss Pamela.
