Ndudi and Ebele arrived so early at Hilltop and they were able to identify the exact woman of God after going around searching for her. Luckily for them, they arrived on her counseling day. When it got to their turn they both went in and introduced themselves and told the woman of God exactly what brought them.

It’s so sad to hear Odinaka is dead. I do not want to apportion blame because he is no more here with us and even before he came here God has already known a day like this will come in his life. God kept warning him about procrastination and stubbornness but he was so weak to see what was facing him. But in all this, I still thank God he opened up to his friend and told him what is happening because you people wouldn’t have known what is happening especially now all eyes are on his friend for using him for rituals. Woman of God said.

All eyes are on his friend for using him for rituals. Who could that his friend be? Ndudi asked.

One of your reasons for coming here with Odinaka’s wife is to prove your innocent to her but praise God you have been vindicated. Said the woman of God.

How did you know Prophetess? I sensed suspicion in her questions yesterday which is why I decided to follow her when she asked for the direction to clear her doubt. Ndudi said.

Your sudden increment in your business left people thinking the same but the truth is God wanted to liberate people around Odinaka who the forces affected but he kept proven stubborn. You started your business with the money Odinaka gave to you a long time ago. And ever since then, you kept fighting a spiritual battle without knowing and still assist Odinaka in a little way and still keep a relationship close with him which was not supposed to be but because you have a strong spirit that was also why you keep raising anytime your business goes down. Your debtors who are owing you for a long time and those who you paid for goods since that ceased your money all returned your money and thanked you for your patience immediately after Odinaka.

Yes, ma! Yes! You are right ma. Ndudi was so surprised.

God is always right. Mrs. Odinaka, the same prophecy is still coming. Is still saying you should move out of the compound. Once you do you will be amazed with what will happen in your life and the life of your children. Has the burial date been fixed? Woman of God asked.

Yes ma, the burial date is on the 28th of this month. Odinaka’s wife answered.

God is telling you to pay for another apartment now before the burial and move in with your children immediately after the burial. Woman of God said.

I won’t take your message for granted I will do as you instructed. Odinaka’s wife said.

I am not the one who instructed you, God, is. Woman of God said.

But woman of God, how do I save others from the compound? What will I do to save other men from dying? Odinaka’s wife asked.

Save yourself first then talk to them about it when you have moved out of the compound. The best is to tell them to get closer to God, be prayerful, and frequent church. Some will believe you but the weak ones will remain. Those that will move out will also join you in telling others about the compound. Through This, the building will become an abandoned house someday. Woman of God said.

Thank you, woman of God. Ndudi and Ebele said in chorus.

Thank God. Here is a place you will read from the Bible. Commence today. The woman of God stretches her hand and handed her a paper of what she’s written. Give me your hands let’s pray.

The woman of God prayed for her and they left. Ebele started the prayers as the woman of God instructed. With the help of Ndudi Ebele paid for another house. Weeks later they all traveled to the village for Odinaka’s burial without Okwudili the Eldest son because they are sitting for their waéc exam.

Ebele, I thought Odinakachukwu has an eldest son who should be a grown-up man now. I’ve not set my eyes on him. Is he on his way coming? Odinaka’s uncle asked Ebele.

Yes, uncle, you are right. His name is Okwudilichukwu. He’s not coming home they are writing their waéc exams in the city. Ebele said.

Kpuchie onu! (Close your mouth) let nobody hear you. It is an abomination to use such as an excuse for the eldest son not to bury his father properly in our tradition. He has to be home today or tomorrow to bury his father. He has a major role to play. These are the things you should have known by now but unfortunately, you people don’t come home to know how things are being done. Odinaka’s uncle said.

Uncle please, this examination is very important to him. There are certain stories surrounding this exam. Please he can’t afford to miss it.

You mean the exam is more important than his late father Ebele. Odinaka’s uncle said and stood up and left.

Hours later a family meeting was held with Odinaka’s siblings about Okwudili not being present. Odinaka’s siblings who know the story pleaded they allow Okwudili to stay back and write his exam but tradition wins. They had no other option other than to inform Okwudili to start coming home as soon as possible.

Oh God! Does it mean my husband died for nothing? Odinaka, I hope you are seeing what is happening here today. Ebele cries.

Stop crying Ebele. You still have tears to shed the day Odinaka’s body will arrive home. You know Okwuchukwu will be writing exams on this day why didn’t you open up when you were told the burial date has been fixed so it will be shifted? It’s all your fault.

Uncle, how do I suppose to know things are being done this way? Nobody told me so you don’t blame me. Ebele continues weeping.

Weeks later after the burial. Ebele and her children traveled back to the city and made every preparation and moved out from the compound.

This life is something else. So Odinaka sacrificed his life for his son to write an ordinary exam and the son turned out and sacrificed the same exam for his father’s burial. God forbid! Oluchi Ndudi’s wife said and snapped her finger.

Goose pimples can’t cease to appear on my body anytime I remember this. I asked Odinaka what if Okwudili had seats for this exam he paid for and failed it. Now look at it. Not everything is worth sacrificing. Let me not go further since the dead has died. May your soul continues to rest in peace Odi nwanném. God knows I forever miss you. Ndudi said.

Three months later, two of the people Odinaka had helped came looking for Odinaka. They were directed to where the wife and the children now live. They mourned Odinaka after they were told he is dead. The other one came with a cheque of five million while the other came with a cheque of two million to show their appreciation.

Ebele didn’t hesitate to go to the church and pay her homage and also tell the woman of God what happened.

I’m glad you remembered the church. Odinaka was a good man and his good deeds towards humanity will continue to find you and the children. God said I should tell you this isn’t the last but the beginning. God bless you and always seek the face of the Lord and more will be added to you. Bow your head let’s pray. The woman of God said

The End

It’s a wrap!!!
