MY JOURNEY AS A SINGLE MOTHER.
Part 18.

“I really have something to discuss with you, Esther. I believe God can use you for me. I am very serious about it. Please, don’t look at what I have done, but look at how you can be of great help to me, to bring me out of my mess.” The message read. Brother Leke’s message.
Immediately, I knew it was a serious matter. Matter of life and death. I wasn’t really persuaded to allow Esther to visit him alone.
” Esther, let’s go to his place together. At least, he cannot rape the two of us.” I said.
” What about Taiwo and Kehinde? You know today is Saturday.” She said.
We decided to go with the children.
On getting to brother Leke’s house, we saw him on the floor, groaning in pain.
” Holy Spirit, please take charge.” I prayed silently.
My eyes caught something.
A broken bottle.
It dawned on me that he was stabbed by someone.
“Bisi, he is bleeding. Someone covered him with clothes, but the clothes are stained.” Esther cried out.
We ran out and called people to come to our aid. Unfortunately, not even a single person came to our aid.
“Is it Leke?” Someone asked.
“Yes, brother Leke.” We both replied.
“Please, leave him alone. It has always been happening like that. His girlfriend is not ordinary. She has a way of dealing with him mercilessly whenever he breaks the covenant they made. Covenant of being faithful to each other till death do them apart.
I think he broke that covenant by having another girlfriend. I don’t know if he has been sleeping with his new girlfriend. Whether he sleeps or not, his girlfriend doesn’t like any woman around him, else, he will be stabbed. In fact, whenever he is stabbed, we must not take him to the hospital. If we try, he will die.
He was given a harmless stab. He will groan in pain for like 5 days.
After 5 days, he will become normal.” He said.
Esther and I opened our mouths. In fact, we were shocked to our bones. We were speechless, but many thoughts ran through my mind.
” Prayer coordinator! Covenant!!!!” Esther shouted.
Hmmmm.
” I sense it in my spirit that, the girlfriend has been the one empowering him to do exploits in the fellowship.” I said.
“Bisi, is that fellowship really dead. Are there no members that are sensitive enough to have seen that their prayer coordinator isn’t real, but fake?”
I smiled.
“Bisi, I sense that the pastor is also one of them. If not, he would have detected early enough. In fact, Leke would not have been appointed as the prayer coordinator, because the revealer of all things – Holy Spirit, would have revealed it to him.
The pastor is fake. They are calling Jesus, but they are not for God. They don’t even know God. They are from the devil. They use fake powers to do signs and miracles. No wonder many people troop into the fellowship. No wonder the fellowship keeps expanding.” I said.
“Ahhh! God will judge all workers of iniquities. God will judge oooo. I just pray that God should be fast about it. I pray God strikes all of them dead, immediately.” Esther said
I laughed very hard.
” It doesn’t cost God anything to destroy them. In fact, it won’t take God a minute to clear them off. But I think their cup is not yet full, because by the time their cup is full, they will drink out of the cup of God’s indignation.
The wrath of God will destroy them beyond imagination. Also, I think God is not interested in their death. He wants them to come into repentance. He wants to give them more chance before He closes the door of His mercy.” I said.
We’ve forgotten about Leke. We were just discussing since we were told that we couldn’t take our brother to the hospital.
All of a sudden, my daughter let out a wild cry.
” Kehinde!!!! ”
The two of us rushed inside.
I met my children fighting with each other.
I separated them.
“Bisi, if not for these children, we wouldn’t have entered. We have even forgotten why we came here.” Esther said.
Leke was still in pain. I really felt for him.
“Why did you tell me that day that you were led to me when you still have a girlfriend?” Esther asked.
“Esther, I am fed up of her.” He cried.
“She has ruined my life beyond normal, and I want to break up with her. I told her I was breaking up with her and that was what made me to ask you out since you were not a member of my church so that my secret will not be exposed to people who thought I was from God.” He said.
I sighed deeply. I wanted to step in. I said ” Good afternoon, brot… ” He didn’t even allow me to land before he cut me.
“I am not a brother, please. Using brother for me makes me uncomfortable. It makes me more guilty.” He said.
“Leke, why did you enter into a covenant with her when you know she was going to destroy your life?” I asked. Esther didn’t allow him to answer mt question when she told me I asked a complicated question.
“Let’s do it like this. How did you meet your girlfriend and what led the two of you into making covenant?” Esther asked.
We knew he was in pain.
“What if she comes into this house anytime. Are you sure we are safe. I hope she will not stab us?” Esther asked.
Fear ran through my spine.
“Taiwo and Kehinde, come and sit down here.” I ordered them. They sat at the middle of the two of us.
“May God protect us all.” I prayed while Esther chorused a resounding “Amen”.
“Esther, Deola has been my girlfriend right in secondary school. Back then, I was a real child of God. My parents really showed and taught me in the ways of God. I made up my mind to serve God with everything, but I was battling with pornography and masturbation.
Along the line, after being saved, the stuggle increased. Deola had been on my neck. She was pestering me to have se.x with her. I was initially overcoming her.
But, at a point, I gave it a thought. I just wanted to enjoy real se.x and ask God for forgiveness later.
In one word, I slept with her. I didn’t know she was possessed. Since that time, it was very hard for me to break away from her and se.x. I became very addicted. She was the one controlling my life. She controlled my life to the extent that she made sure we both attended the same university. We both made a blood covenant that we will always remain faithful to each other.” He said.
“Hmmm, Leke, sometimes, sin always promise joy and happiness and in fact, freedom, but to be sincere with you, what sin can only offer you is just a bit of excitement and happiness that comes before guilt and bondage.” I said.
“Exactly, Esther! When someone yields to temptation and sins before God, it feels like an escape from pressure, pain and even sorrow, but in the real sense, it just an opened door to bondage.
People who smoke think they are enjoying life. They think they are doing great. Ladies who are prostitutes think they are the richest women on earth. They think they are enjoying life, but unknown to them that they are really in bondage.
They don’t know they are dead while they are still alive. Devil has blinded them and deceived them.
They don’t know that they are enjoying 1% while the remaining 99% is the sorrowful and sad part of their lives. Yes, devil will never reveal their unending sorrows to them, until their lives are finally destroyed. ”
” See what your enjoyment led you into. See what “let me taste, let me experiment, let me experience this and that” has led you into.” I said.
” There is no two ways about this. Since you said you once knew God, there is no point running away from God again. You can still trace your steps back to Him because He is the only one who can bring you out of your mess.” I said.
Leke was in tears. Either crying because of the pains or crying because of our words. All I know was that brother was crying to the extent that Kehinde almost stood up. She wanted to go and wipe his tears away. Thank God I restrained her.
As we were still talking, the woman entered.
Madam Deola entered😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣.
Immediately we saw her….
Immediately Leke set his eyes on her…
