My journey as a single mother episode 14

MY JOURNEY AS A SINGLE MOTHER.

Part 14

By Authoress Rhoda.

My heart jumped up in my throat as I raised my fist. I was sweating like a christmas goat and my knees felt weak. It was as if I was going to pass out any moment.

“Oh, a dream again!!!! At least it wasn’t real” I shrugged as I tried clearing sleep off my eyes.

I remembered I cried my eyes out the previous night when I called “mummy”, expecting an answer only to be reminded that she was gone.

The fact that she was gone activated my tears gland especially when something bite me in my brain that no one will ever be able to take care of my children like mum.

In fact, I knew if I was to measure the quantities of my tears, I believe buckets would be full.

I slept off while crying that night.

I found myself somewhere.

I realized I met myself in the midst of dead people. I saw mummy. I saw many other dead people that were well known to me before they passed on.

I felt at home. We discussed a lot.

I was still having conversation with them when someone said “welcome to the association of the dead. You are highly welcome.”

I was blushing because they welcomed me in a grand style, except mum. She had a sad countenance.

All of a sudden, mummy said I should leave their midst because I wasn’t supposed to be found there. I obeyed her immediately.

As I was about to take my leave, a strong man appeared to me and ordered me to return to their midst.

“I don’t belong to the dead. My place isn’t here.” I said as I was still walking, not minding if the man heard me or not.

All of a sudden, the man appeared in my front. I became confused.

“How did he manage to cover the distance between us because I was very sure I was really far from him.” I asked no one in particular.

I was still thinking when he brought out a rod.

“You are joining us tonight. You are going to die tonight.” He said.

I screamed!!!!

It was as if my mouth was going to tear.

“No!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted.

I managed to run. He followed me. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. Breathing heavily.

He was very close. Just some miles, I would be brought down.

I was so scared about what might happen next. Fear ran through my spine. I was tired.

I fell!!

He caught me. He hit the rod on me. I passed out.

I woke up only to discover that it was a dream.

I was gasping for air.

“God, nothing must happen to me!!!!”I yelled.

” Oh no!!!” I must not die but live to declare the wonders of God.

I took the dream to God. I prayed fervently because if I die, who else will take care of my children?

” I just can’t die because I still have millions of lives to impact. I have many dreams that must come through while I’m still alive.

Lord, you said in your words in the book of Isaiah 28:18 that all the covenant with death shall be disannulled and my agreement with hell shall not stand… Lord, you said again in Psalms 91:16 that you will satisfy me with long life. So, I am not kicking the bucket any time soon.” I prayed fervently.

I believed God strongly.

I narrated my dream to dad and Esther. We prayed.

Could you believe that, that evening, I went to the market to get something. Before I left home, I remembered what the psalmist said. I took it to God in prayer.

” Lord, keep me as the apple of your eyes and hide me under the shadow of thy wings as I set out to the market.” I prayed.

I took a taxi. I was the fifth passenger. We haven’t gone far when a trailer collided with our taxi.

To cut the long story short, everyone in the taxi gave up the ghost immediately, except me. In fact, I wasn’t injured. All I could say was that God shielded me.

Immediately, I remembered my dream.

I couldn’t help but shed tears of joy.

What if I had taken my dreams with levity? What if I had seen my dream as just a myth? Maybe I would have died as well.

Dear reader, don’t joke with your dreams. Sometimes, God can reveal things to happen through your dreams.

It is the spiritual that controls the physical. So, don’t play with your dreams.

Whenever you have a nightmare, don’t just overlook it. Pray strongly against it. That is why you need to know what God has said concerning you by digging deep into His words, so that you can nullify every bad dreams with the word of God because, the words of God are powerful. Your Bible is powerful. Remember, God really values His words above His name.

If you have a good or positive dream, claim it strongly.

Above all, pray about it.

I narrated everything to my people when I got home. Daddy and Esther fell on their feet to worship God. I sat, but in tears, expressing my sincere gratitude to God.

Mummy was finally buried.

After two weeks, Esther returned to school and dad resumed back to his work.

Dad took over from where mum stopped, but he couldn’t handle my babies like mum 😁. He catered for all my needs. He wasn’t physically present with me.

When the session was over, there was a break. So, Esther came back and we both planned for the next session. I was fully ready to resume back to school. Dad suggested I get a nanny, but I told him my children would be following me to school. He accepted that.

My plan was to enrol them in a creche near my campus.

When I got to school, I was welcomed with embarrassment. Many people looked down on me. I was called names.

“Who cares? Let anyone say what they like. Very soon the whole world will see the glory of God in my life, because I am a work in progress in the hands of my creator and I’m sure that by the time God is done with me, the whole world will testify that truly the fingers of God is at work in my life” I said to myself.

Esther encouraged me not to be moved by the rumors. She really stood by me. She assisted me in taking care of my babies.

Hmmmm!!!

🤔Something actually happened. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

What was that?

To be continued.
