MY JOURNEY AS A SINGLE MOTHER.
Part 16.

I didn’t know who told Gbolahan about me. I didn’t know what the person told him. Well, maybe no one told him anything.
I just don’t know how to put it.
I went to the mall to get somethings, only to see him, getting something in that same supermarket.
Immediately I saw him, it was as if I should strangle him. But, I remembered my identity in Christ.
Immediately, I smiled.
In fact, I walked over to where he was to say “hi” to him.
Unfortunately, I didn’t go with the twins because Esther was with them at home.
“Hi, brother Gbolahan. Good afternoon.” I greeted with smiles. In fact, I knew I wouldn’t have done something like that, but grace of God to forgive offenders covered it all.
“Good afternoon, sister Bisi. I guess you came here to come and carry out your evil plans. Well, I just want to tell you that all your plans have failed in my life. Witch!!!” He shouted.
Everyone was watching, because the way Gbolahan spoke really attracted people. It became a scene.
” Thanks for calling me a witch.” I said as I went to get my stuffs.
People were amazed. Some were abusing me for being a witch. My ears heard a lot. I took my leave.
If you were in my shoes, will you do what I did? Will you ever greet him?
Immediately I got home, I bursted into tears, because he called me a witch, in fact, people would believe I was indeed a witch.
Esther saw me weeping.
She came over to where I was and consoled me.
I narrated everything to her. She was happy I took a bold step.
The fact that I greeted him was an indication that I had forgiven him. I had no grudges against him.
“Esther, he called me a witch despite the fact that I am the mother of his children.” I said.
“Dear, I believe strongly that you are not a witch. In fact, you are a mother of great nations. I believe one day, those who called you a witch will bow to the true God you are serving. Don’t let any of their words get into you.
Ships don’t sink, because they don’t allow water to enter into them. Ships begin to sink as soon as water is allowed to enter. So, dear, don’t let any negative words people say to get into you.
In fact, they once said Jesus christ was using an evil spirit to do those miracles he was doing. So, trust me, people will call you names. People will mock you. People will despise you, but please, don’t be moved by any of those things. As long as you are a child of God, don’t believe every “this and that” people are say.
Believe in what God has said about you. Believe His promises concerning your life. Let them say anything. One day, they will get to know that they have been wrong all these while by the time God lifts you up.” She said.
I shed tears.
“I believe I am not a witch. I believe I am a great woman of God. I believe out of my seeds shall the whole world be blessed. I believe I am a mother of great nations. I believe I will be all God has ordained me to be, against all odds…” I confessed.
Esther was saying “Amen”.
“Bisi, I have finally seen a man after God’s own heart, that is ready to take me to the altar.” Esther said joyfully.
” Wowwwwwwww!!!!!” I screamed for joy.
“I am so happy for you, Esther. May you have a glorious marriage. May you and your husband love God the more. May you and your husband be all that God has ordained you to be. May you birth great nations.”I prayed, from the bottom of my heart.
” Amen oo!! “She replied.
” Calm down, girl. He just proposed to me, yesterday. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about it. So, I prayed about it, yesterday. I have this unspeakable peace in my heart that he is the one for me.” She said joyfully.
” Congratulations, friend. Just glorify God in your courtship. You deserve a king. You deserve a man that will love and cherish you. You deserve a man that will not truncate your destiny. You deserve a man that will run this Christian race with you. You deserve a man who that will support your dreams and work with you till those dreams are actualized.
If this man isn’t going to make you happy and fulfilled in life, I will personally hijack you from him. Remember, your happiness is my priority. Remember, you are a queen. ” I said while she laughed so hard.
” I believe he is the one for me. Thank you, motivation speaker. Thanks for loving me.” She said as we went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Esther and Brother Leke were deeply in love with each other. I keep asking God “when?”
“When will my own brother come my way?” I asked God.
No response from Him.
My spirit wasn’t flowing with Brother Leke. To me, he was like a player. I prayed to God about it and my fear was confirmed.
“How will I tell her that Leke isn’t the right man for her?” I asked no one in particular.
Well, I kept on remembering Esther and her relationship in my prayers.
“Father, if this relationship isn’t from you, let it be broken in Jesus name. If this man isn’t meant for Esther, let something happen that will break their relationship.” I prayed fervently.
It wasn’t as if I was not interested in Esther being in a relationship. I just didn’t want her to miss it. She is more than a sister to me and her mum who happened to be our intercessor was gone.
I just wanted the best for her.
One day, she returned from Leke’s place, broken and dejected. In fact, she could not hide those tears. She had no choice than to allow those tears to flow freely.
“Esther, why did you go to Leke’s place? I thought you guys do meet in the church? Why do you have to go to his house?” I asked.
“I actually wanted to know his house. Bisi, I pestered him to describe his place to me before he finally did. I decided to go to his house without informing him in order to know how his house looks like and stroll together to the church.
The fellowship we attended made it mandatory for courting members to always have their discussion in the church. So, sometimes, 4 to 6 people are always in the church having discussion with their intending partners.” She said.
“Bisi, as soon as I got to his house, I met a woman’s sandal outside. I thought she just went to pay him a visit. The door wasn’t locked. I went in, straight to the kitchen to see if the lady was there, because I didn’t meet anyone in the sitting room. Many thoughts came to my mind. I went straight to the bedroom. On getting there, I met the two of them uncladed, having se.X. I screamed out.
Leke wasn’t expecting my presence. My presence was a big shock to him. Leke went on his knees to apologize. He told me the lady seduced him. He said it was the devil’s work.
Without thinking twice, the lady slapped him very hard to the extent that I felt the effect of the slap.
The lady told me that she was Leke’s girlfriend. She even warned me to leave her man alone, else…
In fact, she told me I cannot snatch her boyfriend (that she has been dating for years) from her. She even told me she has aborted four times for him and he has promised to marry her after graduation.
I left them immediately and came back home. Bisi, I find it hard to believe this. Brother Leke 😭😭😭” She cried.
Brother Leke!!!
