Chapter 3
Susan was celebrating her 28th birthday, that’s when I proposed to her, she was so surprised…… she accepted my proposal,
her birthday was super fun……
that same evening we lodge in an hotel, as I tried to kiss her, she told me she was a virgin and she wish I respect her feeling till our wedding night
that was very okay by me
she said her Ex was so impatient about it……..
we talked till we slept off.
I later introduced her officially to my parents as my fiancee and I also met with her parents…
my fiancee and I started talking about Marriage plans, she came to live with me as the wedding date is yet to be fixed
one day at the office, I decided to check one of my Facebook account, it’s been long I opened it, I saw a message dated many months ago….. it’s from Deborah😱…… she left a phone number that I should call her …….. immediately I see her message, I dailed the number sharperly…. it failed..
I became so worried and restless….. I was trying the line every single day….. till I heard the connection tune, I was so anxious hearing Debbie’s voice again…. she pick and I introduced myself, she was so happy, she pleaded I come see her ASAP….
I was too busy to make that long trip to her town, but because of what I felt for her, I lied to my fiancee that I needed to see a friend who was very sick.
I traveled to the address Debbie texted to me, as I got there we hugged so tight that she started crying…. I asked about her parents and her siblings, she couldn’t say anything good about them, I became worried,
a little child came to hug Debbie saying “mummy ….mummy”
I look at debby … I ask is this your child
she replied yes hes our son, I was dumbfounded,
I stuttered..saying…. so u mean this is my son, I carried him, I was looking deep into his eyes, I could see the resemblance,
No DNA needed, I looked at Debbie again,
she explained she didn’t know she was pregnant, it was her mom that notice the change in her body, by then I’ve traveled out of town, her mom threw are things outside, that’s how she misplaced her phone, she went to live with her grandmother,
she later left there when her aunt invited her over to her house, so she couldn’t reach me,
she narrated her suffering, till she put to bed, till she decided to search for me on Facebook,
I was so speechless, I wepted,
my son is almost 2 years old.
she was complaining of the hardship she’s experiencing even in her Aunty’s place, I couldn’t forget the good old days how she fed me before I got a job
I took her and my son to the town where I live, so I could keep a closer eyes on them, I lodge them in an hotel for a month, I give her 300k to buy whatever she wants,
as I told an agent to help them get a 2 bedroom apartment.
I got home looking so tensed up my fiancee ask what was the problem, I lied I was having a fever, Susan hugged me telling me everything will be alright.
I couldn’t just sleep, I couldn’t get my mind off Debbie and my son,
few weeks later
the agent finally got the apartment, I sent the agent some money to help me get people who will fix and buy everything/anything the house will need to make it perfect.
the agent did exactly want I wanted
I took Debbie and my son to their new home, she was so happy, I spent few time with them, I beg her to take my leave, I promise to come over by weekend,
Debbie held me so close thanking me,
we hug and kissed …..
Debby asked if there’s a woman in my life…
i don’t know what to say…..
