CHAPTER NINETEEN
The battered SUV drove to the Christian Tabernacle Church Headquarters at about One A.m , The security men at the gate knew Jacob , he was a friend to the general overseers son , he was philanthropic , always dropping large tips for the security men at the gate whenever he came around .
“Good morning sir ” one of the security men greeted Jacob.
“Thank you Martial is the junior pastor around ?” He asked getting his mother in-law from the back side of the SUV.
“Yes sir he’s around .” The security man replied.
“I want you to help me get him , I hope there’s a nurse at the church clinic ?” Jacob asked . “My mother in-law needs emergency check now .”
The security man nodded . “Please somebody should help me fetch pastor Dotun .” He said as he ran with Grace to the church clinic , it was a small one but he didn’t want to go out that night , the cats might still be searching for them outside .
“What’s wrong with her ?” a doctor on night duty , asked seeing the deep gash on Grace’s face ,Jacob ran in with his mother in-law and dropped her on a gurney , Margaret running just behind with the baby, scared of the night .
“She was attacked by a wild animal.” Jacob said , as he put his palms on each side of his waist .
“What kind of wild animal in Lagos ?” the doctor asked confused , a nurse brought out some anti rabies injections .
She’s conscious she’s lost a lot of blood , we’ll place her on IV and do blood transfusion to her , what’s your blood group ?” The young doctor asked Jacob .
“I’m O negative.” Jacob said collecting the baby from Maggie , seeing how tired she was .
“Don’t worry baby you’ll go and catch some sleep soon , they should get the blood .” Jacob said ,squeezing her arms , he was the man she once loved again .
.”I don’t think I can sleep , I need to make sure my mother is fine .” She said relaxing on Jacob’s massive arms .
The doctor was about taking the blood when , pastor Dotun showed up .
“What am I seeing Jacob ? did you run Into an accident?” Pastor Dotun asked .
Jacob laughed . “Would it not be better if we ran into an accident?” She said shaking his hands showing all the deep bites on his body . “It would be better to be an accident , the beasts came in their numbers , they attacked us .”
Pastor Dotun shook his head in wonderment. “They came to your house again ?” He shook his head .
“I think my parents have a hand in this , the house helps they forced me to take in , turned to the two beast who called for the others,they killed my gateman , if not for the mercy of God we would all have been dead by now .” Jacob said .
“Mr Jacob you also have to take anti Rabies injection , you might have been infected .” The doctor said .
“I’ll be praying for you and your family, the Lord is going to see you all true .” pastor Dotun said . “I’ll ask the chef to bring you coffee or something hot to drink .” Jacob thanked him for accepting his family and he took his leave .
After the blood was collected , pastor Dotun returned to his office where he continued praying . Maggie slept off relaxing on Jacob’s shoulders, while he sat up on the closest bed to Mrs Grace’s hospital bed , the baby lay on a blanket sleeping , placed on the hospital bed .
The next morning Jacob was ready to leave , but Margaret wasn’t about letting him , to to his parents .
“Baby I have to do this , I have to protect you and our baby , injured to understand this madness , I need to understand what my parents are into .” He held Margaret’s shoulders as he talked to her .
“No Baby we can move away , far away , we have money in the bank , we can move to the UK or the US , I don’t want this fight to continue.” She grumbled. as Jacob held her close to his chest .

“Baby if my parents can send two agents to live with us , they can also send a thousand to track us wherever we go , I don’t believe with the whole of my heart that they could do such evil, I give them the benefit of doubt , I need to look them in the eyes to get back my sanity am currently going crazy .” Jacob insisted .
He kissed Maggie , held her for a very long time time .
“You know I love right Maggie?” He asked as he swallowed her with his huge chest and arms around her . She nodded .
“I will do whatever it takes to keep you save and alive .” Jacob said to her .
“I need to make a report at the station for Musa’s corpse to be taken .” She nodded .
He drove to the house , only to see that Musa’s corpse had been removed the blood and traces of a scuffle had been erased . He went into the house , grabbed his handgun , changed into a new cloth, a blue peer of jeans and black polo shirt , he took the Mercedes Benz SUV, the Lexus was ruined and battered .
He drove into ShopRite, to buy supplies he would take to his wife and child , after seeing his parents , he tried severally to pay , but his cards where rejected .
He called his banker and was told his father had asked that all his accounts should be frozen . He smiled ,and shook his head , he must get answers from his parents , he drove towards the family house in Ikeja . He had no issues with money , the two million dollars he had starched in his underground safe , would see him and his family for a while .
Hmmmm it’s mysterious and strange for parents to kill their grandson and their son and his wife
