Felix got to his house and rang the bell but no one opened. What happened he thought to himself. Or perhaps they both were sleeping so he dragged the door handle and the door was locked.
Luckily for him , he was with his keys so he inserted it and the door opened it wasn’t bolted from inside so he walked in. He heard music sounds in Leonard’s room in a high volume. He just walked past, that wasn’t what he came for. He went straight to his room and met his wife’s dresses on his bed. She must have gone to take her shower he thought to himself.
He wanted to surprise her when she comes out from the bathroom so he left his room went towards Leonard’s room. He started hearing moans….
How can Leonard bring a girl into his house to have sêx?
Why didn’t he get himself a hotel room?
Let him finish first, he will surely hear from him.
He turned to go back and noticed the moan was familiar…
It sounded like his wife, he went further to confirm. The door to Leonard’s room was open and to Felix bewilderment, his wife was on top of Leonard riding him.
Felix was broken!!
Out of rage he went into his room and came out with a gun then barged into them. Anita quicky rushed off of Leonard. She was shocked seeing a gun in Felix hand…
It’s not what you think I can explain Anita said with tears rolling down her cheeks as she pulled the sheets to cover her body.
How could you Leo, How could you? Felix asked as tears rolled down uncontrollably from his cheeks.
I took you as my younger brother and brought you into my house!!

Leonard was speechless and scared because he knows what Felix was capable of.
Anita turned to Felix with a shaky voice..

Leonard rushed towards Felix to collect the gun from him, then Felix with his quick reflex turned and shot him on the forehead. Leonard fell down dead.
Anita cried out with fright, as she kept on pleading with Felix to forgive her. She never knew her husband was that ruthless.
Shut up , shut up Felix yelled at her. That was the very first time Felix has talked to her in such a hash tone. I’ll let you in on my secrets.
I was a thief..
Yes you heard me right. I was a chain smoker, I had a gang which I controlled.
I impregnated a lady who I was with. She angered me and I kept beating her till blood started flowing out from her. I left her on the floor and left. I came back few hours to find her dead, I called my men and they threw her body into the deep river.
Anita opened her eyes in amazement and kept her hands on her head wailing. She never knew she got married to a beast.
Yes I was a beast Felix said as if her read her thoughts. Till that faithful I and my gang went on an operation, someone alerted the police. They came rushing in on us unawares.
There was a gun fight between my gang and the police, all my men were killed and I narrowly escaped. My mother had a heart attack and died when she heard about the news , she thought I was among those who got killed.
I was her only child. I blamed myself for the death of my mum. I loved my mum so much , but I never listened to her when she pleaded with me to change my lifestyle.
After her death, I fled and left the city. I decided to turn a new leaf and throw my past behind me. So I started a little company with what I’ve saved. Till I met ….

The sound of the gun was heard by neighbors who alerted the police. Both Felix and Anita got arrested.
Few months later,
Felix was sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour due to numerous murders and suicides labelled against him
Anita was seen crying as she kept thinking of what she brought upon herself. She was pregnant but can’t really tell who the father of her child is.
All these won’t have happened if only she told her husband the very day Leonard walked into their house.
If only she knew she won’t have hidden this from her husband. His secrets were darker than hers! Oh she learnt her lesson the hard way. As the life of a single mother awaits her .
