Cynthia was shocked by Nk’s words on the phone and how she hung call on her. Her leg could not carry her. She was shaking and feeling dizzy at the same time

She tried reaching her again but her number wasn’t connecting and that was when it’s dawn on her she has been duped by Nk. Cynthia quickly close her shop and went home.

Charles sent her the two million nairas then she moved to the next plan on how to sell off things in her shop. Four days later, she sold everything in her shop and moved her things and some of Charles’s valuable things out of Charles’s house.

Charles returned from his trip very late at night. He was surprised Cynthia wasn’t at home because he has been on the phone with Cynthia as he was on his way back. He picked up his phone and called Cynthia.

Charles hurriedly entered the room and the drawer was unlocked and no important thing was left in the drawer. Charles screamed and cried. He began calling Cynthia but her number has gone off. He called his friends Chuks and Ekene. The next morning his friends came.

A year later it was gathered Cynthia has traveled out of Nigeria for her masters and Nk is working and living fine in the United States of America. Charles’s effort to get his properties back proved abortive. He lost both his land and house. Chuks begged his wife who has been communicating with Chioma ever since she left Charles to take them to Port Harcourt where Chioma relocated to since she has the address.

Chuks, his wife, and Charles went to Port Harcourt. Charles could not believe his eyes when he saw where Chioma is now living. Chioma is now working with an LNG company in Port Harcourt and she owns an official car with a driver that was assigned to her.

Chioma’s house help opened the door when the doorbell rang. She opened the door but couldn’t recognize any of them. She had to go and informed her madam she has visitors. Chioma was very mad at Chuks and his wife for bringing Charles to her house but they were all pleading.

Sweetheart, I deserve whatever things you do to me. I deserve any name you call me. Please, my love I’m on my knees. I treated you so badly I know. Please give me another chance to prove to you that I’m a changed man.

Chioma turned her back and wanted to jam the door on them but Charles lied on the floor and held her like so right on her leg.

Baby, please I’m begging. Chioma didn’t want the Children to notice what was happening she had to let them in and the children were happy to see their father gain.

After long pleading, Chioma forgave him.

Charles, I’ve forgiven you but I can’t leave my work and go back with you.

Yes, baby anything you wish stands. I can be coming every weekend to visit you and the Children. I can move in with you. I can do anything you want baby trust me I will. Charles excitedly interrupted Chioma.

It’s okay Charles. Please stand up. Chioma held Charles’s hand and they hugged each other. Charles burst into tears again.

Later in the day, they had a reunion party. Everyone was happy. They couldn’t go back the same day they all slept in Chioma’s house and Charles and Chioma agreed he will relocate to Port Harcourt and also run a medical check on each other.
