Ken, this is antiretroviral drugs for HIV patients and from what is written on the result Susan is HIV positive. Paul his friend who is a doctor confirmed.

The news changed Ken’s body System, he instantly had an emergency running stomach. He excused himself and rushed to the restroom and was stooling and vomiting. After ten minutes he came out and cried to the doctor’s office again.

Are you alright Ken? Doctor asked.

How I’m I suppose to be fine? Just tell me how? Paul, you just confirmed that my wife is HIV positive and you still asked me if I’m okay? Ken said crying.

Are you saying you are not aware she lives with HIV? Paul asked.

My wife is cheating on me! Jesus Christ! I’m finished. Paul, tell me, I’m I positive too? Don’t lie to me I’m I? Ken said Crying out loud.

Get hold of yourself man you are in my office. I wouldn’t know if you are positive or negative. Calm down. Let me run a test on you first, that’s when I will know if you come out positive or negative.

There’s an organizational meeting in the office. It was a round table meeting almost all the executives are present to deliberate on the growth of the company.

Susan who is joyous that a meeting like that is been held because recently she has observed many things that will bring about the end of the company stood up to tender her contribution.

Well, I must say I’m happy I’m part of the executives who are been selected to be part of this symposium. But first I will like to recognize the founding father of this well-established. Chief Benard Ikenga Soludo a great man who achieved and set a big legacy for his children. Sir, you are been recognized today by me, and may your soul continue to rest in peace, Amen.

All eye was on Susan because she seems to be deviating from the topic meant to be discussed.

I don’t want to consume much of our time here so I will make it brief. Susan continues. First of all the growth of this company lies in our hands most especially with our CEO Sir, Jidenna Alfred Soludo. If it goes down today we all are responsible for it. I wasn’t observant enough to see enough but my eye opened clearly when I became a victim. The majority of us here live with HIV that is been distributed by Jide.

Jide quickly stood up to stop Susan immediately his name was mentioned but some of the executives Susan planned the move with held Jide down.

Sorry for that rude interruption. Susan said as she continues. As I was saying our CEO here is HIV positive and he is wicked enough and determined he makes sure he spread it to every lady he comes across and the ladies in this company aren’t left out. At first, I was thinking all the ladies trooping in and out of his office are going in there to drop a file on his desk not knowing they are going in there for another mission. I’m a victim too. I advise both the men and ladies here should have themselves checked up because many share ladies with Jide here.

Susan turned and looked at the CCTV camera and looked at Jide. If I’m going down you are also going to be down with me. I know other workers who are not present here are watching and recording this. Bloggers will be over-excited to feed from this story when I share the video with them. Well, I’m done here! I quit myself. Susan said and collected her phone from someone she gave to document the meeting and left.

Ken, your result is out Paul said to Ken.

Ken, started crying out so loud again.

I will walk you out of my office now. So, you haven’t stopped this annoying crying of yours? This is your result. Listen, Ken, having HIV doesn’t mean instant death. It doesn’t mean you are going to die today or tomorrow…

Paul was still saying Ken stoop up and headed to the door.

And where are you going? Paul asked.

Home of course. I’ve accepted my fate.

My friend Yansh down here you negative. Paul happily announced to Ken.

Ken jumped up twice and rushed to Paul and hugged him. He sat down again. How? How is it possible? How come, my wife, is positive and I’m negative? Ken curiously asked.

Your wife contacted it. Secondly, Maybe you don’t sleep with her often and when you do it isn’t a rough one. Men easily get HIV from their wives when there’s a cut inside and lastly, some people are naturally immune to the infection.

Wait first let’s make a phone call. Ken side.

Hello Lota, please can I see you at my house is very very urgent. Ken happily said on the phone.

You sound so happy it seems there’s good news or is your wife pregnant and you decide to throw a party for her? Lota asked.

You got that right. Please don’t tell my wife about it. I want it to be a surprise. Ken said

Ken also called her sister Nonye to come around to his house the same day.

Ken, what are you up to? Who are those people you called on the phone? Paul asked because he is so confused.

That’s my Elder sister and my wife’s elder brother. I have to get going now. I will give you the full gist later. Ken gave Paul a handshake and left without hesitation.

It wasn’t up to three hours Ken got home Nonye arrived followed by Lota. Ken brought out Susan’s drugs and test results. He narrated everything to Lota who doesn’t know what has been going on between him and his wife.

Susan drove in. She was surprised to see her brother and her drugs and test result on the table When she got to the sitting room. She went straight inside the room and came out with her belongings.

Ken, everyone deserves a second chance but in my case, I don’t. Sorry, can not change anything that I have damaged but I’m sorry for everything. I don’t know if I infected you too. I was made an offer by Jide my boss. Which I thought will be a huge opportunity for me to get us financially stable again not knowing I was heading to a crash and got infected by him. Brother Lota, I’m sorry. I was already infected before you told me Jide lives with HIV. Aunty Nonye, you have been a good sister-in-law to me right from the day your brother introduced me to you. The Susan you saw the last time you came wasn’t me it was a frustrated and depressed Susan you met that. Ever since I was told I was infected I became a shadow of myself. I’m sorry Aunty Nonye. Ken, you are a good husband and a great father to Blossom. I don’t have to wait till you tell me to leave your house. I deserve to go and stay in a quiet place and face my frustrated and depressed life. Susan carried her things and left the house.

Ken, had many things to say to Susan but tears couldn’t let him open his mouth. He cried uncontrollably to the extent his sister Nonye thought he was dying.

Lota was filled with remorse. He stood up and followed his sister to make sure he takes her to their family house safely.

It’s a wrap!!
The End…
