One faithful morning, Josiah woke up due to his first wife faridah and Adebimpe noise. He bur ied his face over his pillow covering his ears.
“Everyday is always a market scene for them, they will never want to give me peace in this house ha!.” He muttered angrily hitting his leg on his bed.
Meanwhile, what causes the commotion between faridah and Bimpe was because Bimpe daughter water was carried by faridah son to bath and faridah on the other end refuses to obliged to her son using Bimpe daughter water.
“You have started again this morning abi? No wahala, no wahala ooo is as if you want to see cr@ze this morning you this skeleton!.” Bimpe shouted at faridah who jumped at her.
“Me! Skeleton? Ha! I will never take this.”
Faridah dragged Bimpe plaited hair around showing her the power she got, that it is not only about being skinny that she has more strength than her. Faridah children started hailing her to initiate the attack that she’s really proving her worth to Bimpe.
“That is very good mama! Beat her, beat her very well! Show her that she met you in this house. Let her know her stand in this house!”
“My husband! My husband oooo okomi bo si ita! (Come outside ).” Bimpe screamed.
“Leave my mother alone.” Bimpe daughter Adesewa which means crown beauty” was saying around her mother trying to separate them.
“Come on get out!.” Faridah daughter, Rihannat said to Adesewa pushing her away.

“Allah ya saka maka’! (God puni sh you) mace bakarariya! Mace bakarariya!!! (Barren woman) with an adopted child.” Faridah said angrily.
“I told you never to insult me in your language again “. She said panting heavily and rubbing her shoulder continuously because of the pain. You just buy yourself a market tàntínrín’ which means skinny person. Émí mà ní (it’s me o) mó seshe bere télé ni , wà ri iràn wo nisin. (Infact, I’m just starting, just watch and see).
She dashed out of the veranda holding her daughter along. Meanwhile, Mr Josiah has been at the door watching all along. His third wife Nkechi tapped him from behind and whispered in his ear to better come inside. She’s the only person he always listened to because of how she never gives him troubled.
“I don’t know what to do concerning these women again.” He mumbled turning to enter when Adebimpe entered with a broken bottle dashing towards Faridah in fierce.
“Yehhhh! Witch want to stab me oo.” Faridah and her children flew inside staggering on the floor in speed. She turns to Josiah who in turn hurried inside speedily locking his door because he knew what Adebimpe can do.
“You should have come outside na! Bo SI ta! Ti mi o bà gun é pà (come out if I don’t stab you to dea th).” She stood at Josiah door banging it continuously. Josiah! Come outside with that fool that is using charm on you if not I will break this door now and tear you apart!.”
“This is what I don’t like oo my husband, I have told you countless times to allow me live separately from this people but you will not. Please I don’t want trouble for myself and my children abeg.” Nkechi lamented inside to Josiah. Just see how she’s banging the door, and you know this woman will never back out easily.”
“Woman, Keep shut and let me think on what to do! All of you talk too much! Please Nkechi don’t get me angry to change at you.”
“It is not up to that na my husband, oya no vex abeg.” She pleaded on her knees.
“I have told you not to worry, when I finished all my plans then I will get you and our children from this house to a safer place because of those warrior I have as wives. Just be patient with me, you know a patient dog eat the fattest bone.
“I know my husband.” She answered.
“So, just don’t join them and continue to be the good wife I have known you for.” He said calmly. Focus on raising your children because any day I found out that you have started exchanging words with them hmm’ Nkechi hmmm…let me just keep quiet because what I will do that day you won’t like it.” He said standing at the door.
“Never! I can never join them. Thank God you know the kind of person I’m that I don’t have strength to start making unnecessary noise talk more to indulge in fighting. I have never been raised in form of violence and it will never start from me!.” She said in rejecting gesture.
After several minute of the fighting and barbaric shouting of Bimpe, Josiah got dressed to set out for the day for his transportation business. He should have left early but because of the unexpected scene that couldn’t let him go out on time. He gave Nkechi 5000 Naira, Five thousand Naira to get some drugs for Ogechi for her cough and to use the left over money herself.
“Thank you my husband, God will continue to bless you and keep you safe.” She prayed after collecting the money.
“Amen, I don’t have much time again so, see you in the evening okay.” He said walking to the door.
Immediately he stepped outside closing the door behind him, he almost freaked out seeing Adebimpe at his front staring at him with a broken bottle on her left hand looking at him furiously. She stood up at him immediately from the stool she sat on. This is faith stories.
“I know you will eventually come outside.” She said holding up the bottle at him.
“Wha..t is…it again this woman!.” He asked moving aside from the bottle aiming towards him.
Faridah stood at her entrance peeping out at them to see what is going on.
“Ogbeni! Where’s my own money?.” She asked immediately stretching forth her right hand at him.
“Adebimpe! Adebimpe!! When did you start this ba d behavior of yours? So you felt threatening me with a broken bottle will fetch out money for you “. Josiah ask.
“You changed me Josiah, you made me start behaving this way! And you know about it already. You think you can neglect me just like that for that wench you kept inside Never! I say Never!!! I have been so quiet in this house for the past 5 years and you have taken the bull by his horn and I’m ready to fight for my freedom.” She said.
“What freedom are you talking about? Have I ever hurt you for a day ? What else do you want me to do for you as a husband!.” He answered in haste and audibly.
“See….seeee I don’t have time for all these talk, just deep your hand into your pocket and bring out my own money shikena! Lo ba tan (and that’s all).”
“ I don’t have money for now Bimpe.” He said hurrying out.
She ran after him and dragged him back into the house making him to hit his buttock on the floor.
“Ha! Bimpe what did you just do? You drag me, you drag olori ébí (head of house).” He shouted angrily.
“Abi kó fé dà fun olórí ébî ní? “I am also here ooo.” Faridah shouted from her doorstep. You must also give me money too. I can’t tolerate all these nonsense you have made me endure all these years.”
Bimpe looked at her and started laughing in a jesting manner.
“So, it’s now you know how long you have been in this house abi? I don’t even have your own time now.” She said and faces Josiah back.
Josiah couldn’t bear the choking of Bimpe anymore as he summoned up to act like a man, but he was scared of the broken bottle that is still in Bimpe hand beside his head. He held unto her right hand on his neck and struggles to pull it off but it seems her strength at that moment can’t be defended as she kicked his legs aiming the bottle at him.
“Wait; wait! I will give you the money.” He shouted panting heavily on the floor and took out 2000 naira out from his pocket to her.
“Ehn! Me 2000? You must be joking. If you love yourself, you better add more to it or else okú mà sún ló n bí ní ooo (de ath will be surplus here oo).
“Ha! I have married wrongly.” He said almost in tears.
