hostility on a woman episode 4

HOSTILITY ON WOMAN.💫💝

🌷EPISODE 4.🌷

Tears were streaming down my face as I fainted.

Ben left me on the floor and drove out. He did not care if I’d díe or not.

Favour,my child was yelling painfully when she was looking at me laying
down helplessly.

Few hours later, I regained my consciousness and saw my daughter sleeping
on the tiled floor.

My heart started shaking as I carried her up and discovered she was gasping
to breath.

I held her up to my left shoulder singing lullaby for her as she was
blubbering.

Her body was so hot as héll.

My heart missed a bit when she puked out the pap she drank in the morning.
The contents she vomited had a fetid smell.

I had so much bruises on my body and my eyes were red, swollen and dropping
hot tears down my cheeks…

Immediately, I carried Favour at the back as I wanted to take her to the
hospital because her health condition was crucial.

We boarded a tricycle that moved like a bat out of héll and we got to the
hospital quickly.

The doctor attended to my daughter immediately we reached there. The nurse
looked at me suspiciously when I sat close to my child who was laying down
on the hospital bed.

The doctor was touching the palms, neck and forehead of my child and shook
his head as though all hope was lost.
“What is it doctor?” I asked as though the doctor’s reaction scared
daylights out of my body.

“Come with me to my office right now” he spoke loudly.

Forthwith,He left and I followed him straightaway. He offered me a sit and
I sat curiously waiting for what he’d say.

“Madam, your child hit her head on the floor right?” The doctor queried.

“Yes sir, she fell from the divan” I replied like I was weak in the heart.

“Her brain got harmed due to fall to the earth and unfortunately…..” The
doctor uttered with signs of regrets visible on his face.
“Unfortunately what?” I screamed..

“We lost her” he growled espying me pitifully.

“What? No! doctor, tell me you’re jocosing” I roared holding the doctor at
the collar of his shirt.

The doctor started consoling me as I ran to where Favour was laying and she
was being covered with a blue blanket on the hospital bed.

I uncovered her dead body. “Favour wake up, please wake up” I howled as
some nurses held me tight. I couldn’t stand the pace as my heart kept
misses a bit.

I dashed out immediately walking hopelessly on the road like a mad woman.
My ebony hair was disheveled and tattered.

On the nail, I got home and behold, what I saw made me dumbstruck. Words
failed me and all I could do was Just staring.

I descried Ben kíssing a voluptuous woman at the sitting room. They were
really enjoying themselves and he was caressing her all over her body.

“Welcome dear” the strange woman uttered. “As you can see we’re really
enjoying ourselves” she added and they bursted into laughter.

My heart started pounding then, I felt some butterflies in my stomach.

I had lump in my throat when I saw Ben making love to another woman. My
blood ran cold and I felt like paying the debt of nature.

“Mezuo, darling! this is my new wife: the lass that will give me a male
child” Ben said and wreathe in smiles.

Tears started dropping freely from my eyes and I tried to disclose the news
to Ben but I pondered out that bringing the news to light will make him to
be super elated –Ben truly resented her with intensity.

Mama on the other hand would be lugubrious and downhearted. She would be
disappointed because she had previously cautioned me to bring my late child
to her but unfortunately, I was obstinate.

I dashed off fast and furious. It was already 8:30pm at night.

Our estate was gigantic and undeveloped– there weren’t street light in it.

There were old bushes, big trees et cetera–it was more like a forest and
the bushes haven’t been cleared for a long time.

As soon as I tried to pass the forest, I heard some incoherent sounds of
the dusk. The grey go-away bird started singing a song of grief which
echoed in my ears repeatedly.

I reminisced that Mama always advice me to make a move when I hear those
timorous sounds in the dark.

Instantly, I started running, minding over my matter not taking my mind off
everything that transpired.

“Where am I running to?” I asked myself when I successfully passed my
forest like estate.

“Should I go to the village this night? Or should I go to the hospital and
take my deceased child” I continued to soliloquies.

“I have to bury my daughter first before heading to the village, but I have
no money” I uttered.

I kept thinking deeply and then decided to go to the hospital.

The road was full of numerous sapiens and bit by bit they were going home
and in a blink of an eye,the road became scanty.

I was subjected to timorousness when I saw no single soul on the road– the
hospital was very far as I kept running with wounds on my body.

At 9:00pm that day,I got to the hospital and the portal gate had been
locked. I was knocking, knocking and knocking but no one answered.

Fortunately, I heard the voice of the gate man “Who is that?” The gate man
utterance showed that he was in his slumber.

“Sir, I am the woman whose child died late in the afternoon” I said with my
voice shaky and I was shaking like a leaf.

“Oh! Come inside” he replied when he opened the gate.

I thanked the gate man endlessly as I went inside the hospital.

The nurses were still at work and the doctor had left by that time. The
nurses were astonished when they espied me.

“Why are you here by this time? Did you come to take your daughter’s left
over?” The nurses asked in unison.

“Yes” I retorted.

“You have so many bruises on your body; you can’t go this night. You must
wait for the doctor tommorow morning” one of them uttered.

“Let me come and treat your woúnds” one of them said as they left.

Nurse Tina treated my wounds gently and afterwards,I spent a night there.

In the morning, the doctor came and ran series of test on me. Luckily, I was
unluckily because he disclosed that I was eating for two– that I was
pregnant.

I was down in the mouth and verily, I felt like a cat on hot bricks.

To be continued. 😓
