…….”Am I dreaming, is that not Samantha” she let out and
took a closer look at her to be sure and lol and behold it
was her friend who she had been trying to reach for
“Do you know her? “ her coursemate asked
“Yes she is my childhood friend” Catherine let out
“That’s impossible, she is a minister’s daughter and what is that her name again……em……. em” she stammered
“Oh Sam “ she suddenly shouted while she was still figuring out the name Catherine was already walking towards her friend in anger
“Wait, you can’t go to her “ her coursemate tried stopping her but it was too late
“Why on earth will you, ignore my calls for months knowing fully well I need your help when I resume “ Catherine Thurndered when she got to SAMMY’s table
“Excuse you, what’s all this fuzz about and who are you shouting at Sammy’s friend who was sitting beside her asked with raised brows
All this while Sammy was engrossed with her phone while having her EarPod on so she didn’t hear what Catherine said
It was when she heard her friend speak that she raised her head and her gaze met with Catherine and she was shocked to her bone marrow
“Can you tell me while you have been avoiding me?” Catherine asked
“Hey lower your voice down, Do I know you ?“ Sammy said trying to avoid her gaze
“Do you know her “ Sammy’s friend quizzed with a frown as she scanned Catherine from head to toe with disgust
“Of course not, where on earth will I know this filtering looking girl from, she is not even in my league or class, “ Sammy said rolling her eyes
Catherine was shocked to her bone marrow it was as if the ground should open up and swallow her or better still someone should wake her up from the most embarrassing dream of life
“Can we just leave this place, the air is polluted already “ her friend said feeling disgusted as she stood up and got hold of her handbag
“Yeah I just lost my appetite too,” Sammy said getting her bag too as they left Catherine was stuck to the ground and couldn’t move a feet
She never imagined that Sammy would ever say those I’ll word to her and deny her openly in public “But why “ she asked herself as hot tears rolled down freely from her eyes
“Hey it’s okay,” her coursemate said tapping her gently on the shoulder written by Annie Alex
“I tried stopping you but you would not listen, those girls are very ill mannered, but please don’t take their words to heart, “ her coursemate said trying to console her
Catherine turned around to see some of the students staring at her and she hurriedly ran out of the cafeteria
She got home that night and her bed was soaked in tears, she kept asking herself “What on earth did I do to her to make her embarrass me like that, I have known this girl all my life, how could she “ Catherine said crying out the more
That night she could not eat all do anything all efforts from her roommate to share her up were abortive as she requested to be left alone
Lost in thought while she was soaked in tears she suddenly heard her phone ringing
At first, she didn’t want to pick up the caller but the caller kept calling reluctantly she reached out for the phone lol and behold the name displayed was “ bestie “ her friend Sammy
