……..”What is going on between you too ” her
mother asked when she noticed the coldness
in her attitude
“Nothing mom I’m not just in the mood to talk” said Catherine
“Ah but we have been gisting all along, why is it that it was when you saw here that you suddenly lost the mood to talk “ her mom said with raised brows
“ it’s not like that we will always catch up later” Catherine said with a fake smile
About a week later Sammy came to pay Catherine a visit
“Knock knock,” Catherine who was all alone heard a bang on their door
“Who is that “ she asked
“It’s me “Sammy said when she heard her voice
“Is that Sammy “she asked no one in particular but when the voice came out a second time she knew definitely it was her
At first she didn’t want to open but deep inside her,she wanted to know why she acted that way .Reluctantly she went to open the door
“Catherine xup” Sammy greeted twisting her ear in an unease manner, Catherine scanned her from head to toe and she could not help but marvelled at how deceitful she looked
Who those not know her in school will think she is a deeper life pastor’s daughter not knowing she is a goat in sheep clothing
“Yeah, how may I help you “ Catherine said ignoring her pleasantly

“Em it’s not what you think okay, I know I was not fair to you and I said very mean things too, please I’m really sorry, just find away in your heart to forgive me “ Sammy robbing her hands together
“Hmmmm, so because you are leaving a fake life in school that’s why you humiliated me in front of everyone “ Catherine said staring at her from head to toe
“I’m sorry I really didn’t mean to hurt you with my words” she let out still robbing her hands
“But you already did, words spoke cannot be taken back “Catherine said deep down in her heart she kind off felt pity for her and she still loved her friend
“Hmm I forgive you, but you must promise never to deny me in school or anywhere again “Catherine said with a light smile
“I cross my heart it will never happen again”
Sammy said and out of excitement she jumped on her
Catherine finally allowed her into the house and they chatted some more
Soon the holidays were over and it was time for everyone to get back to school for the second semester which kicked off immediately two weeks into resumption the first semester result was out
“ please excuse me,” Catherine said trying to pave her way through the crowd which was already gather in front of the student affairs where the result were posted
Some persons where already jubilating
since they cleared all courses without any carry over while some where seen wailing due to how poorly their performance was
Catherine got closer to the board and immediately scanned for her know why it look as if her heart wants to jump out of her body with the way it was beating fast
“Yes, yes I did it “ Catherine shouted on top of her voice when she saw her result she was among the first three person in her department with the highest GPA
Her joy knew no bound all her hard work has paid off she immediately called her mom to inform her about the good news
“Wow I have always know you to be very intelligent right from your childhood, congratulations my child and keep it up, I will send you something over the weekend “ her mom said excitedly
“Thank you mama,” Catherine said smiling from ear to ear as she hung up since the remaining day was lecture free, Catherine headed for her hostel
Just on her way she saw a back prado jeep driving behind her and at first she was scared and immediately she doubled her footstep
“Pum pum the car horn came ringing but she wouldn’t turn she held tightly to her bag and walked faster
“Hey Catherine it’s me “ a female voice shouted from the car she turned and it was Sammy she just gave a loud hiss and stood at the spot
“Hop in lets drop you off “ Sammy said to her when the car got to were she was, Catherine took a closer look at the car and saw a very dark handsome guy who was the one driving
She was not too comfortable with the ideal but when she look at her scorching the sun was she decided to hop into the car
There was some sort of weird quitness and she decided to lighting up the atmosphere by speaking out
“ xup Sam hope you have checked your result cause all departmental results has been posted “ she asked moving forward to look at Sammy who has been busy with her phone all her long
“ Nah, i will just placed a call to the student affairs “ she said as she continued with her phone
“ oh wow , Catherine let out” you must really be a big name to be able to pull that “ she thought it herself

They finally arrived her hostel and she stepped down “ thanks for the ride “ she said to both of them and the guy just gave a nodd why Sammy said “ your welcome darling
She stepped down from the car and gave Catherine a hug she deped her hand into bag and brought out a mint bundle of 200 and handed to her
“ Catherine took the money and stared at it and asked “ what for, besides where did you get this money from!!!???she asked with popped eyes
