…….When Sammy was much better the doctor informed her
about her health condition and she refused to believe it and started laughing uncontrollably
instead
“Do you know what you’re saying!? “ she asked the doctor with her finger pointing at him as she laughed some more
“ I know this is strange and might not be what you are expecting but please you have to pull yourself together, it is not the end of the road, “ the doctor said trying to pacify her
“I should pull myself together, is that what you just said? I am barely 22 years old and here you are telling me I’m HIV positive and you want me to pull myself together” Sammy said already acting furious Patrick quickly grabbed her
“Hey Sam, it’s okay, we are going to re-run the test in another hospital maybe two or more hospitals to confirm the result, okay, “ said Patrick, Sammy just looked at him for a few seconds and shook her head sadly
After getting her medication, Patrick drove her home alongside Catherine who accompanied them. The ride to her house was very quiet as
They all just stole glances at each other not knowing what to say
Sammy was extremely quiet, you could see drops of tears flowing down her cheek, she didn’t know how to react to the news
“Everything will be fine, you can still live a normal life, just don’t get too mad at yourself “Catherine managed to say when she saw tears on her face
They got to her house and Catherine marveled at the site of the building, it was a three-bedroom detached apartment, she never knew Sammy was living in such a beautiful apartment
Jesse just got back from her trip when she heard Sammy was hospitalized so she was home preparing dinner for her since she knew she would be discharged that evening

“Please keep this doctor’s report to yourself I do not want anyone to know about it aside from the three of us, “Sammy said to them when they were about to enter her apartment and they nodded their head
“Oh my gosh, you have lost so much weight, how are you feeling now?”Jesse said when she opened the door and saw Sammy
“I’m fine, “Sammy responded faintly as she went into her room Catherine followed her and dropped her stuff in the room before leaving she held Sammy’s hand and assured her everything would be fine before she left with Patrick to go prepare for her exam
That night Sammy managed to eat after being forced by Jesse so she could take her medication, when she was done she lay on her back and stared lustfully at the ceiling
She tried to think back how she might have contracted this deadly disease but she just could not pick point anyone
Sammy has been with different men and she wasn’t sure who amongst them must have infected her, what will she tell her parents when they find out
“Ah my mother warned me, look at where I have landed myself “Sammy wailed as she started crying uncontrollably
