“He is even sending the third wife daughter to school while your own daughters are sitting at home. I don’t know the stupid love that connect you two together back then. When you should have married alahaji.”

“I am really regretting it now seriously. Please help me!.” She said.

Josiah called all his wives and children during the weekend for a family gathering and to tell them some important things. They all sat down right from faridah and her 3 children, Adebimpe and her daughter and lastly Nkechi and her 3 children.

“Good evening everybody.” He said calmly with only the children and Nkechi responding. This is what I don’t like oo why can’t you answer me?.”

“Please go straight to the point.” Adebimpe answered not looking up.

He ignored their attitude and began his speech. He asked why their have never been peace in the house between faridah and Adebimpe, that why don’t they follow the type of character Nkechi has.

“hun….Hun!.” Adebimpe cleared her throat in aligning to what he said but he didn’t get it.

“Everyday, it’s always one noise to the other. If you don’t fight because of water today, you Will fight for biscuit tomorrow! Is it a curse! Sorry my children, I know I’m not supposed to be saying this in your presence but most of you are not a kid. “

“We are listening father.” Faridah son said.

“Adebimpe and faridah please if I have ever wrong you in anyway please forgive me, please and please forgive me! Anywhere I step to like this in this vicinity, there is no time they don’t gossip.”

“And what are they gossiping?.” Nkechi asked immediately to know if it’s not related to her.

“About all of you off course! Infact from the mother to the children!.”

“Hmmm hmm…hmmm!.” Faridah signed down.

“My husband, hope I’m not there ooo because….”

“Did I mention your name?.” He asked interrupting her.

“No vex Nkem.” She answered smiling.

“If there’s anything you want me to do for you, just State it now, if It is something in my capability that I can do.” He asked and no response. Please, for the sake of these children. It’s not like I wished to even marry three wives either but…”

“But what?? But what Josiah? If not that you’re a very wicked man, I mean very wicked man , you won’t have had all this vagabond after me. What did I do to deserve all these from you! If I wanted to see you, your wife wouldn’t allowed you to. Imagine my own husband ooo have you forgotten how far we had gone. I neglected my father because of you, I believe in you and got married to you; just see what you have done!.” Faridah said and walked out along with her children.

Come back here faridah!.” He shouted and she didn’t answer. Just see what she has inculcate into her children, I’m talking and they followed their mother, disrespecting me their father.”

“Please if you don’t have anything to say again maybe I should just go.” Adebimpe asked on her feet.

“What is even wrong with both of you, I haven’t finished lamenting on her behavior and you are also saying you’re leaving; Oya go if you want to .” He said in annoyance going back inside his room. I don’t know why I don’t have a say in my own house again! Is it because I have been so lenient with both of you in this house? Don’t worry, just don’t worry! If this is how you want to be behaving I think I have endured enough!.” He said closing his room door loudly.

TWO YEARS LATER

The house is still the same; with their behaviors to the extent Josiah had to move out for months because he couldn’t tolerate their pandemonium. He returned to the house after many pleading from his in-laws who came over to settle their dispute. Adebimpe at the end didn’t care about him neither will she forgive him for what he did to her before he left the house. She had make it known to him that she’s fed up of the marriage and she didn’t care about how her father would react. So seeing him coming back to the house doesn’t reflect anything on her. Nkechi at the end wasn’t happy about his returned because he has planned to take her in to where he lives. Faridah embraced her husband back with joy that she has forgiven him.

Faridah daughter Rihannat started going waywardly, going to club without her parents awareness and her mother didn’t for once ask her where she do get the money she brings home. This is the kind of life faridah admire for her daughter, since she couldn’t go to school then associating with people and getting exposed socially is a great thing to her because she wanted her daughter to be more socialize than Adesewa and Nkechi children.

One morning , while Josiah has left for work Nkechi went over to Adebimpe doorstep and pour some substance at the entrance jiffy and ran back into her room happily.

“For this house ehn! Una go see pepper as una allow my husband come back this house.” She said angrily.

Her phone rang and she picked it up seeing that it’s her man friend. “Hello bobo how far na? Watin dey xup.” She asked.

“Where are you?”. The caller asked.

“Na house I dey ooo doing nothing.” She answered.

“Can we roll tonight as normal level?.” He asked through the phone.

She scratched her head for a second thinking if it will be possible.

“Shey your maid dey around because of my daughter?.” She asked.

“Yes na, and moreover can’t you leave her at home? She’s no more kid na, or do you like how you always get disturb by her.” He asked.

She stood up and open her door looking out if no one is listening to her and then sat back on the bed.

“Ehn, no wahala I will drop her then. So let me think how to make my move tonight, if is to lie that I’m going for vigil or seeing my family. You better don’t do like the other day ooo because I didn’t enjoy any bit of what we did. You were just jacking like a vibrator when you’re about to pour that thing (laughing).”

“Wait oo do I look like your old husband that you complained not to always doing you well. Come on Nkechi, we have into this for the past few years now and you are still complaining.”

“Before nko? If not for the money involved shey you think say I dey enjoy am ni, I don tell you say make you dey use action bitter make e for dey strong Wella.” She answered sniffing while tossing her legs together.

“Well Sha no problem. I will do more better than before.”

“Better oo because I nor fit con dey do make I nor dey feel am. I go flash you later na bye bye.” She said and ended the call. If not for these yeye women ehn! I would have moved into my husband house outside where I will be able to do as I want whenever he goes to work. They will see shege in this house especially that empty barren Adebimpe (hissing) I just dey do nice nice with her so that she won’t see me as a bad person hahaha. Me, Nkechi! The baddest babe! Even Josiah sef no fit resist my love charm.

She sat outside the house along with faridah who is picking beans that she will be cooking in the evening. She was patiently waiting for her children most especially Adebimpe or her daughter. She and faridah ignored each other until she sighted Adebimpe coming from afar.

“She even returned early today sef.” She said in her mind shaking her head smirking.

“Good afternoon ooo.” Adebimpe said greeting both of them but only Nkechi answered.

She entered going straight to her room and as Nkechi has been expecting, Adebimpe noise erupted the house suddenly as she screamed running outside throwing everything she carried away scratching her body vigorously.

“What happened to you mama Adesewa?.” Nkechi asked surprisingly stepping back from her.

“Yeh! My body! My booooddddy oooo oluwa shaanu mi ooo Tani mo sé (God have mercy on me, who did I offend).

“How did it happen?.” Nkechi asked looking how Adebimpe is displaying her body around like a cr@zy person.

“I wanted to open my door and…and I don’t even know what came over me! Yehhhh(crying) my body is inching me ooo
While all these was going on faridah ignored them pretending not to see what is going on and entered inside with her tray of beans.
