“Yes, can I know you. Who are you?.” Mr Charles ask.
“So, you have forgotten me.”
“How?.
The lady removed her dark shade glass and Mr Charles countenance changed with mixed feeling of recognizing her. Her name is Kórédé his one time lover who he has had one or two things with. He wasn’t expecting her to showed up all of a sudden when they had gone their separate ways since he has eventually getting off his state of depression back then from what happened to him. And moreover she was the one that ended their friendship because she didn’t want to marry him. Even though he is a way older than her, but he Sees her as a good time companion that 3years ago.
“You can’t even welcome me.”
“And why should I welcome you. My question is why are you here?.” He asked in an angry voice.
“I am sorry.”
“About what?.”
“Everything. Like…I know I have offended you. It’s been ages and I couldn’t keep you off my mind.
Charles laughed sarcastically and look at her.
“Wait! Do I look like a fool to you? Kórédé or whatever you’re called just….
“At least you remember my name.” She answered smiling and look at Adebimpe. Who is she?.” She asked.
“How is that your business? I don’t have anything to do with you again Kórédé. We have ended our friendship long time ago. Why coming here all of a sudden?.” He closed the door in her and refused listening to the lady.
I followed him as he motive and countenance doesn’t look well at all. I quietly went back to the kitchen to tidy up so that I can leave so that he can deal with the situation. “I don’t know why that girl from marine kingdom will come over at this moment. Where have she been all this while ha!”. After clearing the kitchen and putting the pot and plates into places. I went to the sitting room and didn’t see him so I carried my bag to go. I went to his bedroom and heard him sobbing. This is basically the first time I will be hearing him sob after a moment of joy and happiness some hours ago. I stood at the door and don’t know if I should knock or just go away. I know at this moment he wouldn’t want to be disturb so I left him and walked away to go my own. I was surprised opening his door and saw the same lady still waiting beside the door receiving call. I looked at her and go my own way.
“Hello.”
She called and I turned back answering her. Initially I didn’t want to answer but just to hear what she wanted to ask makes me answered.
“Yes.” I answered looking at her dimming my eyes because if the sunlight.

“Did he send you out ma?.” She asked sadly.
“He didn’t.” I answered abruptly.
“Okay fine. But how is he doing?.”

“You shouldn’t worry about that. I know you work here as his servant…oh sorry I mean maid or a cook.”
“Are you okay? Is that why you stopped me?.”
“Not really, I just want to ask that hope you haven’t had anything with him like relationship or falling in love and all that. You should know na!.” She said smiling and giggling. I stood amazed hearing what she said and wonder what she’s trying to say.
“Can you explain that?.”
“Never mind ma, since you said you haven’t had anything with him. So you can go.” She said and walked to the door to knock. I told her to tell me because I don’t understand why she will call me without telling me in details about what she said. She refused, telling me to lock up to the extent calling me an old woman like, do I look old to her face. I left her angrily because I don’t want her to spoil my mood for that day. So, I headed to the lawyer office after calling him.
After Adebimpe left. Kórédé stood at the door and knock severally. She opened the door and it opened. She entered looking around the sitting room. She called Charles severally but no response from him. She went to his room and opened. At first Charles thought it was Bimpe so he didn’t raise his head from his pillow. He jumped up immediately Kórédé called him.
“I thought you have gone? How did you…where is Bimpe?.” He asked going into the sitting room and look out for her. Where is she? Bimpe! Bimpe!!
“I see why she couldn’t answer. So, it’s actually true.”
“True about what?.”
“About her. About everything. How long as this started Charles?.
“I think you’re out of your mind Kórédé. If you don’t get out of my house now I will be forced to do so.
“And then, I will be forced to tell that old woman about your affair with me and how you have sexually assaulted a married woman. I still have the videos on my phone, so you shouldn’t forget so easily.
“I thought you said you have deleted everything Kórédé? You as a person knew that I was framed up with those videos. And I trusted you back then, that was I told you everything about me. And moreover the case as been settled. So what is now your problem about it?.”

“Me back!.” He laughed jiffy and look at her fuming. I know you must be joking. And it’s everywhere. Then, I’m sure the old witch can leave you.” She picked her bag and walked to the door to leave. She opened it and stood at the entrance and told him to better think fast within 24 hours before she exposed his nude.

She closed the door loudly and left with joy and excitement that she has just done her part. She took her phone and dial a number.
