.
So that day I earnestly sat down to wait for them, I sat there for over an hour but didn’t get any sign from them. I called Paul’s line but he didn’t pick up. “I don’t understand, why is this boys wasting my time? or they think I don’t have any other thing to do?” I said to myself angrily.
Out of frustration and too much thinking, I dozed off. I quickly had a dream. In the dream I saw a faceless woman echoing my name
“Samuel! Samuel!! Samuel!!! Go and tell them what you did…”
Fear gripped me, I was shivering like someone that just had convulsion and I was on barefoot with blood stained over my hands.
“Plea…., please.., pls.., tell them…, them…, them what?” I responded with quivering lips as I continued to move backwards.
“You know what you did!! and if you kîll her, in two weeks time, you won’t see the early morning sunshine.” The voice reverberated, leaped up, and vanished.
I looked up and saw no one, I shouted and woke up. When I woke up it was already midnight. I called Paul’s line but they kept telling me unreachable.
“Jesus Christ! so this stupîd boy don’t want to pick my call aaaaarrrrrhhgggghhh!!! what do I do now?” I shouted on top of my voice while angrily thrusting out one of my left shoe.
I entered the kitchen and began tearing apart some of the broken plates like a ferocious lion.
After some time, I walked to the area where I do keep my wine, took out a bottle of Eva wine, and began to slurp it down. I continued to drink till it was halfway. I exhaled and sat down to regain myself.
“Wait, I still don’t understand. Who is that ghost I saw in my dream and what does she mean by I won’t see the early morning sunshine after two weeks…. Is this some kind of playing? is that some kind of threãt? since I grew up to this aga, no being has ever dãred to threaten me” I mumbled to myself and exhaled continuously.
I eventually fell asleep once again, and when I awoke the next morning, the rest of the bottle of wine was all over my clothing. Meanwhile time was almost 9am so I told myself that I won’t go to anywhere. “It’s better I stay in my house rather than going to that uselêss school and being humiliãted by those bunch of rats that are not even up to my dad’s standard” I thought to myself and went to change my clothes and put on the tv as well.
Thus, I was in my room when I overheard about an auto crash that happened just yesterday. I hurriedly ran to hear the whole details, and they reported that the victims had rushed into a trailer and had been smashed to pieces.
“Jesus Christ!! I hope this is not Paul and ola, no wonder their line were not going through… ” I said to myself in extreme shock.
After a while, a strange number called me and I picked up the call. “Hello, good morning, I’m one of the military personnel and I witnessed the incident as well. I guess you must be Samuel.” the voice inquired.
“Yes, anything the problem and how were you familiar with my name?” I asked as well.
“The victims of the incident that occurred yesterday, we discovered that you were the last person they spoke with and I’m pretty sure you must know about his whereabouts, like his family and friends. Do you mind coming to our office.” he said
“Probably it’s a wrong number because I know nothing of what you’re talking about and thanks for your time.” I quickly replied him and aborted the call.
He called again but I didn’t pick. I added the number on my blacklist instead.
After a while, another number called me again and I answered “Oh Samuel, it has gotten to the point whereby you block my line isn’t it, so you now have the audacity to be rejecting my calls isn’t it?”
“Oh no brother please it’s not what you think. My phone fell in water for days, I took it for repair since yesterday and I collected it back this morning.” I answered him.
“Are you normally at all??? My wife had been sick for weeks, instead of you to come and console me as a brother, to be checking up on us, you decided to block my line isn’t it??? Samuel I never knew you were this heãrtless. If you know what is best for you, better come to my house right now!!!!” he thûndered.
“And besides, Where is the 10million that dad sent you and what did you want to use it for or you thought I wouldn’t know?” he shouted to me over the phone like an angry lion.
