Chapter 10
I thought it was maria, i didn’t know, it was my dad.
“So do you now know the person that wants you dead?makanaki asked.
“Yes, but i can’t believe that my dad wants me dead,because of the company” i said sadly.
“Don’t be sad,that was why i told you before that you shouldn’t trust anybody, marka give her , her phone” Makanaki said. Marka brought out my phone from his pocket and gave it to me.
“Your dad needs pictures, so you have to give us money,so we can buy chicken, so we can use it’s blood to replace your own, you have to pretend as if you are dead”Makanaki said.
” i can’t believe that he is even asking for pictures, human beings are wicked” i said
” yes, so he can be sure you are dead” marka said.
“The money i have wouldn’t be enough, but i will transfer money to you” i said to Makanaki, as i asked for his account details, he told me, I sent him two hundred thousand,am sure my dad paid more than that ,life is more important than money. Then his phone beeped. He looked at his phone, he was suprised.
“I only asked for money for chicken, you dad had given my boys five hundred thousand naira before, wow, marka take this and withdraw money and buy chicken ” Makanaki said as he gave marka his atm. Few moments later, marka brought the chicken along with a knife, he killed the chicken, the chicken blood was gushing out, i looked at it, am sorry you had to die for me, i laid down as they poured it blood over my body, i closed my eyes as i pretended as if i was dead,marka snapped me.
” done baba” marka said as he bowed.i sat down.
“Please can i call my aunt? I asked.
” sure, if she is not a part of all these ” Makanaki said.
“She is not part of it am sure” i said confidently as i dialled my aunt’s number, i explained everything that happened to her, she was shocked, she asked if she could come and pick me , i asked Makanaki about it, he said it was fine, she asked for the location and directions, i asked Makanaki, and he told her.Few moments later, my aunt called me, that she was around, i told Makanaki, he told marka to pick her up, after i told him the dress she wore, and the type of car she brought,marka brought my aunt, she rushed towards me and she hugged me .
“Thank God , that you are alive thank God” my aunt said.
” aunt folakemi, my dad want to k*ll me because of the company, he wants me dead, i cant believe i lived with him all this years”i said as i bursted into tears.
“Sorry my dear, don’t cry, i was the one that caused it, if only i didn’t mention the company ,this wouldn’t have happened, thank God you are unharmed because, i wouldn’t forgive myself if something bad happens to you” my aunt said.
“He was the one that saved me ” i said to my aunt as she knelt down and thanked makanaki.
“Thank you very much sir, thanks for saving my sister’s life” my aunt said as he thanked her.
” your sister was the one that saved herself, because she is a good person ,so you have to keep her hidden for the main time, she has to stay safe, but i hope you wouldn’t report us to the police” Makanaki said as he looked at my aunt.
” i wouldn’t dare” my aunt replied. My aunt gave me the clothes ,i told her to bring, i went to a corner and I changed, we were ready to leave , my aunt gave Makanaki money, he was very happy, he said he can k*ll my father , if we want , but we said no, marka escorted us to the Place where my aunt parked her car, my aunt gave him money also , he was very happy, he hailed us as we drove off.
When i got home, i told my aunt my plans, i would discard my sim and go for my NYSC program, so i will stay hidden for one year,thank God it was a faraway state. My aunt agreed and she supported me, one day my dad called her, that he has not heard of me that he has been trying my number but it was not reachable, my aunt played along and told him that she hasn’t heard of me, she has called me, but it is not also reachable, my aunt sounded so troubled,when she ended the call ,i laughed, this my aunt and my dad they both deserve Oscars. I went for my service, it was only my aunt that had my new number, i didn’t contact anyone from my family except my aunt, she has been the one giving my latest gist, about how my dad was searching for me, that man is a pretender , he is not worthy to be called my dad. ………
Will favour be able to take over the company, when she comes back?
