Unmarried at thirty episode 8

UNMARRIED AT THIRTY

EP 8

“Get into your car” Yinka commanded with a tone like a soldier man. Before the escort soldiers could reach the spot, Yinka had sent shivers into the bones of the two quarrelsome drivers already. They had cleared the way. “E bi like say na soldier him be o” some people murmured. Actually, Yinka had gone for soldier training twice in the past. He had experienced some unspeakable rigorous trainings even though he never succeeded the two times because of some minor medical tests. “Wow you surprised me” Tolu said as he entered the car.

When they reached the beach it was already few minutes half past 4pm. Toluwani hooped around like a child, she smiled from ear to ear as she played at the bank of the water. When she rode the rollercoaster, she screamed at the top of her voice showing all of her teeth. Yinka captured every single moment on camera.

For over two years now, it was the first time she had such a swear time.

“I think we should start going, it’s getting dark now” Yinka suggested. Toluwani’s wears were wet with water, it revealed lots of her body, Yinka like every other men felt that rush of adrenaline each time he looked at his madam.

It was a torture for him as he couldn’t stared at her for long yet he must look at her if he must take some reasonable pictures. “Come let’s take some pictures together” he timidly and carefully came closer making sure his body wasn’t touching her much. “Come closer” she instructed. She positioned the phone with her right hand while her other hand was on Yinka’s shoulder. His body was shaking intermittently but he held his breath making sure he didn’t sold himself. She took few pictures together with him, it was one of the best time she had for a very long time.

When they reached home, she handed him the sum of three thousand naira thanking him for his efforts.

The first stage of growth is the realizations that life begins with you and that life encompasses both happiness and sadness. Nobody is without sadness in this world no matter how luxurious or dignified their lives maybe. The knowledge that not every beautiful relationship will lead to marriage like the happy ever after fairly tales, the easier would life Become for us.

It’s erroneous and a terrific mistakes, a misconception to believe that if it doesn’t last forever then it’s not true love. You were told that true love must be a forever tale so, you coiled yourself in the shell of your past love and refused to come out to be loved again. It’s beautiful if it last forever but the honest and bitter untold truth is that love was/is never meant to last forever. This is why you must cherish the very moment of your relationship.

Stop thinking too much about the future that you forget to cherish today, remember that today is the most important day in everyone’s life. Today is the past, today is the present and today is also the future therefore do not postponed the smile of today to the next as you don’t know what dawn the next will bring.

We grew up with the misconception that love is absolute and whoever love us won’t hurt us but this is not true as human are fallible and highly susceptible to making mistakes due to circumstances and situation surrounding them at a certain point in time. Learn to take things easy and do things that directly bring you happiness from your own effort instead of depending on people head and toe.

Toluwani was retrogressing instead of progressing because she refused to accept that sadness, failure was also part of life. While you’re on the quest for satisfaction and happiness, remember that happiness is just a meagre components of life’s wholeness. This wholeness includes, sadness, pains, tears, success, failure, peace, happiness, betrayer and so forth. Don’t just construct your brain with the wrong idea that life is all about happiness. No one lives a life of absolute happiness.

A married woman is either dealing with a cheating husband or a poor husband. She’s either trying to cope with a poor treatment from in-laws or betrayers from friends. Most times, people get through these harsh reality because they understood that life was never meant to be a journey of happiness alone. Get up on your feet be it you’re married or not. Go to work, make some money, eat some good food. Take your mind off the troubles for a minute and focuses on yourself, that way you will find happiness easier.

At the company cafeteria, Jessica, the company’s most beautiful girl was ordering her food. She was just 24, already a graduate and part of the management staffs. She was too beautiful, whatever your imagination of beautiful is, it definitely matches Jessica. She was like a art painting straight out of a computer laboratory. Jessica was one of those kind of extreme beauty that many men will be afraid of pursuing as they believed she was a product of water spirit. Jessica actually had no flaws when it comes to look, she was the envy of every woman.

At first Toluwani hated her for being too beautiful as she constantly compared every part of her body with that of Jessica. Now that she had found peace with herself, she doesn’t feel irked seeing her anymore. “Hi Jessy, have a seat here” she called her attention. Jessica was shocked. She couldn’t believed such a day would come, she had long admired Toluwani but the level of hostility and obvious dislike Tolu displayed at her presence made her stayed in her lane. “Wow, ma i can’t believe you actually called me to seat with you’ Jessica said as she happily dropped her plates of food. “wait!! Jessica hold on, do you mean this full plate of rice and moi moi is yours? “. Tolu couldn’t believe the slender Jessica with everything in accurate measure consumed such mountain of food. She smiled as she digged into her food.

Toluwani finished her half piece of moi moi with some little grain of jollof rice. She was about going to her office when a young man probably in his mid thirties walked into the cafeteria. His perfume was contagious, his look could make a married woman promiscuous, his charisma could make a proud lady fall. As he stride to the server, everyone gazed at him covetously gulping their saliva.

“Jesus, how can a man be this handsome and muscular and charismatic at the same time” Toluwani said rhetorically. She thought she was inaudible enough but she went crazy when Jessica tapped her to stop that someone was looking at her. It was Mr stranger who was staring at a lustful daydreaming Tolu.

“Daydreaming!!?. I know I’m handsome right!!” He whispered into Tolu’s ear. She was too startled that she staggered backwards unable to find her foot. Mr stranger cooped Toluwani in his muscular arms. Everyone went woooo!! In unionism. Toluwani was too embarrassed, the more she tried to behaved the more mistakes she made. Seeing that she was almost on his chest, she nervously tried to stand up but instead bumped into his lips. It was like a movie straight out of South Korean studio but this was real.

“I know I’m hot but this is too fast miss Toluwani” Mr stranger said. This even made everything worse, he knew her name and clearly he was intentional about his remarks but Tolu was behaving like a teenager who was meeting her first crush. “Ho– how do you know my name” she shuttered as she ran to her office. Her heart panting like a tiger on a chase for a prey. “what the hell is wrong with me” she said gulping Another glassful of water from the dispenser.

“Erm Toluwani, i guess you have met the new director at the cafeteria. Next week Wednesday you will be going on a three days seminar with him to Abuja. Hotels and every necessary arrangements will be made by Jessica, you can communicate with her her” the director informed her.

Toluwani was confused, what on earth was happening. Mr stranger whom she disgraced herself before him few minutes ago was a new director and more uncannily, he was going to travel together with him. She wished she could reversed the hand of time but as we all know, wishes aren’t horses so a beggar can’t owned one
