Asoebi Girls episode 13

The Asoebi Girls. . .

Episode 13.

Daniel met a plate of food with an apology note at hia door; with Hannah standing beside the door this time in an armless gown.
The gown was so fitted to her body to reveal her somehow big stomach and her large back side.

“This is to apologize for wrong behaviour that day. I’m really sorry but Daniel I really like you and I know you like me too but you’re just shy to. . . ”

“I’m sorry, I have a girlfriend.” Daniel cuts her short as he brushes her and walks into hia apartment.
He didn’t fail to tell Joy what happened.

**

That feeling of moving into a new house. I know you know that feeling.
Joy, Bella, Chioma and Nancy arrived at various time in a truck with their properties.
They all sat eagerly in church aa they felt the service was taking longer than usual.
Joy came online to drop a message on WhatsApp for the girls; what she seldom does.

When Joy’s truck arrived, Hannah also assisted in putting Joy’s properties into the truck as though they never had an issue. It’s always that way.
Have a problem with a neighbor today and relocate tomorrow, they’ll be at your place to see if they can pick one or two.

I don’t know if that was Hannah’s case or she was happy that she can finally have Daniel to herself.
Funny she.

“We can’t finish setting things at their places tonight.” Chioma first said as she dragged her last bag into the room she’s going to be sharing with Nancy. Bella and Joy will share the other room.
“We can always arrange anytime.” Nancy replied.
Chioma and Nancy are both teachers in different school. Chioma teaches in a primary school while Nancy, in a secondary school.
Not your regular kind of private school.

Joy is the only self employed among them. She owns a big grocery store with two sales girls. You know what it means to own an enterprise with workers.
She has always had a thing for business even right in Uni.

Bella is still working on opening her own saloon there on the island. You know rent and cost of equipment is something to think about. But she believes she can.

Aside teaching, Chioma sews. She is that one person who believes that no skill is a waste. She learnt how to sew immediately after her Secondary school, before she wrote her first jamb; Nancy on the other end, is an event planner.

You know the cost of hiring an event planner for as little as a child dedication, a child’s first birthday, a wedding, name it. So they were not really living big but could stand out among 20% of the normal big girls in Lagos. Second class.

It was already dark as they all laid on the couch looking like building contractors who had a long day.
“Ordinary arrange your clothes and do one or two things is why you people are looking like tired farmers. Even my grandmother never looks like this when coming back from the farm.” Nancy teases the girls.

“I’m hungry o.” Chioma whines as they all looked away.

No one was ready to offer to cook.

“Look at them. Wife materials, 1000 yards. Bunch of ladies potential wives.” Chioma said

“Abeg, it’s not by that one o. Even when a wife is tired, the husband is supposed to understand and help the wife out. Will the woman die for him?” Bella replied obviously ready to go on and on.

“Help me and ask her o.” Nancy replies staring at Joy who was lost in her phone.

“Joy, what are you smiling at?” Nancy called drawing her attention to look up at the 6 eyes peering a her. If the PHCN had failed, she would have screamed seeing those.
“Have you forgotten she now has a man?” Bella replied sarcastically.

“Na wa o. Wahala for who no get man.” Nancy replies in pidgin English

They were still talking when Joy’s phone rang.
“I’m sorry, my man is calling me.” Joy says standing up to leave the room.

“Hi, baby.” Joy says into the phone as Bella launches at her and begin to scream into the phone.

“Allow the singles to breathe. Don’t suffocate us.”

“Yes. Na single we single. We no kill person.” Nancy added.

Daniel could not help but laugh at the other end.

To be continued. . .
