MUTUAL ADORATION 8
Toya was chasing me directly as I drove and I was clueless about what next I was going to do. I thought of parking and confronting her or just driving straight home but from the desperation in Toya’s eyes, I was sure she was going to go any length to chase me.
I got to my street and when I arrived at my gate, I parked and stepped out of my car. Toya did the same and walked towards me.
“Dave, you cannot do this to me, not now.”
“Toya, how do I mention to you that I made a mistake being with you? I love my wife and that is all that matters.”
“I am not asking you to leave her, I am only asking that you stay with me. At least now that I am expecting your child.”
“My child? What do you mean?”
I got really scared. Was Toya pregnant for me? I had to act sane.
“I am pregnant for you, Dave. Your seed in growing inside of me.”
She held her tummy and kept a sad countenance. I was dumbfounded and was totally shaken by this revelation.
“My God! Toya, you are joking right?”
“Dave, what is there to joke about? I mean, what will I gain from lying to you?”
Toya got all teared up, got into her car and drove off. My only saving grace was that I didn’t live in a roundy place to attract the attention of on-lookers. I opened my gate and drove in.
30 minutes later, Trish came back home. She was more relaxed this time.
She greeted me warmly and gave me a side hug. I on the other hand was at a fix. I wondered what would be of my family and ministry if the news about Toya’s pregnancy leaked.
Trish and I had a long chat that night as we had lost out on what was happening in our lives. I realized how good my wife was and I vowed to do anything it was going to take to correct every underlying issue.
Before I slept off, a text came in from Toya, using a new number.
“How would you like our news on all the blogs?”
This message upset me, I wanted to respond to Toya but I didn’t know what I was going to say. While I was contemplating my reply, another text came in.
“In 24 hours, if you do not see me at the hotel, you’ll see your face and mine all over the news.”
I was shattered at this point.
Should I tell Trish? Should I see Toya? I need help!
