My husband was still carrying and k*issing me to the room when we heard the door bell ring
oh God let it not be Mike… I said in my heart
I know I am human and bound to make mistakes, but it looks like this particular mistake will cost me my happiness 😭
My sister went and opened the door and it was Mike as I suspected
She tried to give Mike signals to go back, that my husband just came back, but he refused to understand and pushed into the house while asking her “where is your sister Stella?”
In a very loud voice as if he was in his own house
As soon as my husband heard a man’s voice in the house, he quickly stopped kiss*ing and dropped me back to my feet as he walked quickly to the sitting room where Mike was sitting on the couch
He shouted
“Who are you mr man?
Baby who is this?”
Mike looked shocked to see my husband so he couldn’t utter a word
But I shouted….. Darling he is my colleague at work
“Your colleague at work, so what is he doing in my house at this time? is this what you have been doing in my absence?”
He shouted at me with so much anger and disgust in his eyes
No Darling, this is not what I have been doing,
you are my Love, my heart and everything,
I can never do anything bad behind your back
“So explain what this man is doing in my house eight now or else I will do something drastic this night”
At first I started stammering, thinking of whether to say the truth or cook up something to cover up
But I started explaining the truth anyways👇
‘Darling, I gave this man the opportunity to come and be eating food in our house sometimes because he showed me kindness when I first started work in the ministry,
(He influenced my posting to the best department in the ministry and he was always being generous to me when I had nothing before my first salary was paid)
So when he explained his predicaments including how the banks he loaned money from has been removing everything from his account anytime salary drops,
and how his wife doesn’t let him eat at home because she makes the food with her own money,
I decided to reciprocate the favours he showed to me back then
By saying he can always come and eat at my place sometimes
Not like I have anything to do with him.
I even told my best friend your sister about it before taking the final decision, you can ask her
He picked up his phone immediately and called mama Oluchi his sister and asked her if she knows anything about the situation on ground,
Luckily she confirmed that I told her about it and she supported my decision of helping the man because she trusts me.
My husband started begging me to forgive him for his actions and for not trusting me, then he went back into the room
While my sisters offered to serve Mike food, but he refused to eat and ran out like a thief that was almost caught red handed
Me and my husband went back to being happy love birds again, we made a lot of fire (knack wotowoto) that night before he took his bath, ate and went to bed.
The next day morning, I took a lot of the goodies and money my husband brought to my best friend mama Oluchi as I have always done and she was very happy.
Then in one week time, we finished decorating our new house, held a house opening party and moved in.
My husband had already stayed for one month and three weeks before finding out that the man that came to our house on the day he arrived was Mike my ex boyfriend😭
