MY ABROAD HUSBAND ABANDONED ME😭
(Episode 14)

As soon as I got home from work that day,
my civil engineer brought the building plan I paid him for and the estimate for the job,
I offered him sit and something to drink and wait so that I can communicate with my husband abroad and give him feedback before he leaves.

Few minutes later I got connected to my husband on the phone
Then I told him about the engineer and his estimate,
also explained to him how I have officially been paired with someone to go for field work in rural areas from the coming Monday and must have to stay there for about 2 months till I finish my mission there

He replied👇
“Baby you cannot travel for field work this coming Monday because I had already sent a lot of money for the building project through currier service and it might arrive there any day from that Monday…….
So if you are not there to sign and receive it, who will?
Please beg your bosses to give you the whole of next week so that you can have time to receive the money and
Give the engineer what he estimated so that they can start the work in full force before you travel for your field work..

If they refuse to grant you next week,
leave that work for them,
So that you can focus on yourself and the building project,
I can even open a big business for you
after all, what am suffering here is because of you and our unborn children”

I responded
Okay Honey, I will talk to my boss tomorrow when I get to the office….. I am sure they will grant my request.
We both said I love you to each other then he hung up.

The decision of traveling next monday was made by me and Mike and not our bosses…..
so all I had to do is talk to Mike and get the movement date postponed.

I quickly went to Mike’s office immediately I got to work the next day being Friday, and begged him to help me sign upper Monday for our movement because I had an emergency to stay back for
In the coming week…And he quickly obliged

Four days later, which is Tuesday evening, the currier guy delivered my box of goodies to me,

I went and got the dollars changed the next morning at bogobiri

Then I called the engineer immediately and gave him the money he estimated for a 5 bedroom duplex in presence of my lawyer and everything was documented.

When I got to the site two days later, they had already started work

So I mandated my sisters to be going there everyday to check on the work when I am not around.

The day came and we traveled together to northern cross river, me and Mike and started the monitoring and supervision in full force

Although he tried to come closer to me severally but I didn’t give him the chance until we finished what took us there and returned to calabar.

After the two months we spent together in northern cross river, me and Mike became very close again but as ordinary friends, nothing more.

He told me some things about himself including how his wife has been very mean to him,
And that it has become worst now that she is pregnant,
She gives him double wahala
Which makes him always stay out hungry till night everyday

Ehya, I felt pity for him……
and gave him permission to always visit my house to eat anytime he is hungry.

I didn’t know that the single decision I made out of pity will cost me my happy marriage😭

He started coming to my house once in a while like twice a week and sometimes trice to eat, drink and then watch films with my sisters in the sitting room for a while before leaving
But he had the habit of always coming unannounced.

It happened repeatedly for several months.
I was not bothered about him coming around because we always had enough food at home

Suddenly my husband started pressurising me to make sure they finish the building work in less than no time because he will soon be coming home and will not like to stay more than one week in the rented apartment

So I became very busy making sure the building was completed and forgot to warn Mike to stop coming to my house
Because my husband will soon return

The next week, I called my husband and informed him that the building was totally completed and it made him happy

But when I asked him to tell me when he is coming back,
He just said
“expect me any day from now, when I come, we can use one week to do total finishing and decorations according to my taste before parking to the new house”

Since he didn’t mention exactly when he will be coming,
Which might even take another year,
I continued giving Mike a welcoming hands

Until one day,

I was just watching a Hollywood movie…. ‘Big MaMa’
With my sisters, our door bell rang
One of my sisters went to take it when I heard
“Eeeeei sister its uncle Tony”

On hearing my Husband’s name, I quickly ran to the door
And jumped on him, we held each other very tight and started kissing as he lifted me up in excitement and took me straight to the room.
