Episode 11
The court convened as normal.
Additional cases were presented in court,
Lawyers were dressed appropriately and had their hats on.
I admire their profession, but am not a talking type, that was why I didn’t go for it .
My lawyer was also looking good, very sharp I mean.
But I guess, he’s womanizer.

We all stood up to greet the magistrate.
He settled down,
Once more, the court bailiff yelled cooouurrtt,
Everyone then took a seat.
This time, the courtroom resembled a cemetery.
Nobody speaks or coughs.
Two police officers were present in the court room without arms,
While four armed police officers stood outside.
In front of us, was a police officer who’s an orderly to the magistrate.
I’ve never appeared in court before, and that was my first ever mistake.
Because, had my lawyer not provided me with the correct orientation, I would have yelled at sighted Barrister Meh,
Since I haven’t seen her in a long,
And it happened she was also in the court that day.
Her real name is Mary Akpan Thomas ,
She is from the state of Akwa Ibom and was extremely intelligent,
We accidentally ran into each other at the university a few years ago, but she later graduated and enrolled in law school.
Meh is now a b woman,? I pondered.
She may not yet recognize me, but I will meet with her once we finish at the court. I said.

The court Clark announced the cases to be handled that day before announcing our case.

Honestly, it’s not easy to fight against your biological parents irrespective of their unruly behavior, I said,
However, anyone who places feeling or sentiment in life because of loved ones won’t achieve any real achievement. I thought .
Emotion should be secondary if I might get justice, i concluded.

My lawyer raised his hand,

My client Ms Linda Rowland Ene ‘F’
The daughter to the suspect, believe that the father, being Mr Rowland Ene Ene,
K!lled her boyfriend, Mr Michael Collins.
For that reason, the investigation from the police was carried out, and alot of fact was however emerged.
1)that the suspect actually invited Mr Michael Collins to his office on the said date.
2) Before ultimately inviting the suspect to his office, Mr. Michael Collins was genuinely intimidated by the suspect.
3) that according to my client, that on arriving the scene of crime, she saw a lifeless being on the ground, which happens to be her boyfriend.
Please your worship, I reserve some of my fact and finding till next when am call upon.

The defending counsel? He asked.
‘Your worship’ my client Mr Rowland Ene Ene ‘m’,
Is innocent of the said crime.
1) My client simply arrived at the office at a late hour on that particular occasion; he was not even at work that fatal day due to his regular activities.
Which he informed the men of the force that he just arrived the office.
2) though my client invited the said Mr Michael Collins to offer him a job on the ground that he wants him to marry his only daughter that said date, but he later cancelled the said date and gave him another date.
3) if prosecuting counsel believe my client k!lled Mr Michael Collins,
I challenge them to provide evidence.
