“So tell us. Who is it. It’s Ben abi.” Bella sends eagerly waiting to know who it was.
Joy would have loved to go on with the suspense but she didn’t want to keep hearing about Ben.
“It’s Daniel.”
“Which Daniel?” Chioma typed.
“The one you all know.”
“You mean, that your neighbour, the one who’s a banker?”
Nancy asked becoming interested in the gist. What piqued her interest was that Joy once told them how the longest conversation she has had with this guy was when he asked her of the easiest way to prepare beans.
“Which other Daniel have I introduced to you people.”
Joy sent becoming elated at their surprise.
“Maybe you’ve gotten another Daniel that we don’t know.” Nancy replied as Chioma reacted with a laughing emoji on her message.
“Bella, you’re not saying anything. Are you still with us?” Chioma asked tagging Bella.
“Joy you mean Ben didn’t tell you anything? What were you people discussing in the car that day?” Bella finally asked after being silent for over almost 10 minutes.
“Bella, is there anything you’re not telling us?” Nancy asked before Joy could send her reply.
“Joy, answer me na.” Bella sends another message avoiding Nancy’s message.
“We didn’t talk about anything. Did he tell you anything?” Joy answered her question with a question.
Bella didn’t reply as she went offline and immediately calls Ben.
“Hello Bel…”
“So Ben, you couldn’t even man up to ask Joy ask?” Bella cut him half way into his greeting.
“Is that why you called? See, I’m scared of Joy. Don’t worry, I promise to see her tomozand make my intentions known.”
“Intentions known my foot.” Bella cussed.
“What’s with the anger tonight, Bella. Don’t you know you girls make it difficult for we guys.” Ben defended.
“So you couldn’t say anything that day in the car after all the eye signal I gave you. Guy you fall hand.”
“Don’t worry na. I promise tomorrow, tomorrow I must tell her.”
“Tell her what?” Bella asked trying to suppress her irritation.
“That I love her and want to you know. . . do forever with her na but she will first be my girlfriend and then we’ll see where it all leads to.”
“Good luck with that, uncle forever.” Bella says as she ends coolvalstories the call.
Maybe I should have told him. Bella thought within herself as soon as she ended the call.
Maybe finding out himself will be a lesson for him.
‘This guy just wasted my time. After all my planning to matchmake these two. . . Shy guys are not for me abeg.’ Bella concluded with so much certainty of turning down any guy she sense to have an atom of shyness in him.

“What’s up with Bella.” Joy typed and sent to their group chat.
“Chommy, you didn’t tell her?” Nancy asked.
“Tell me what?” Joy sends
“I’ll be going off. Chioma will tell you herself. Good night, girls.”
“Chioma tell me what it is. ”
“Let me call you via WhatsApp and tell you.” Chioma replies and immediately calls Joy.
