On Friday morning. Odinaka took his bath and went to the mountain for his appointment with the woman of God. The woman of God asked him to wait that he will be the last person to be attended to.
Okwudili is your father in? Ndudi who came to check after his friend Odinaka to know if he has gone or was still at home asked Odinaka’s son.
No, he left very early this morning. Okwudili answered.
Okay but did he say where he was going to?
He did not but maybe my mom will know. Should I call my mom for you? Okwudili asked.
No, no don’t worry. I will come around to check if he’s back. Ndudi said and went back to his shop.
Welcome Odinaka. Says a woman of God.
Thank you woman of God. Odinaka responded.
I know you are the first person to come for counseling. I asked you to wait because if I begin with you first I might not attend to other people that’s why I asked you to wait. Woman of God explains.
You did well ma. Odinaka said.
Well, last night I was attacked by the forces from the compound you live in. It was a serious attack that can kîll anyone that doesn’t know his/her position in Christ. They warned me to stay away from your case but because of that, I will see to the end of this whole case. As I speak to you they still came with you and they are hovering around the premises. The woman of God said.
Woman of God do they follow me everywhere I go? Odinaka asked.
Right from the day you stepped foot into the compound that was the day they became your bodyguard. They have never left you to go out all alone. They know everything you do. Woman of God said.
I’m confused woman of God. I was doing well for years after I moved into the compound. I lived for five years before I started losing my business one after the other before I finally lost everything eight years ago. Why didn’t they strike immediately after I packed in? Odinaka asked.
Everything has been programmed. You see God revealed everything to me. When you moved into the compound you didn’t meet the main man that built the house which was supposed to be your main landlord. she died and she was fifty years old.
Now your late landlord dîéd at sixty years. five years immediately he finished building the house which was the age of the man he buried in the compound. Any family that moves into the compound will enjoy wealth for five years just the way your landlord did and after five years comes suffering upon suffering. The suffering won’t kîll the person at that moment. It will only leave the person until he/she gets to fifty or sixty years before the person diés which is the age of the man and his wife that was burîéd in the compound.
How old are you Odinaka? The woman of God asked.
I’m forty-nine years old ma. Odinaka answered.
Do you remember the second time you came here I told you your case is a matter of life and déàth? The compound is almost done with you. It has taken almost everything it wants in you and you are to dîé at the age of the woman buried alive while others in your compound have the age of the man to live.
It doesn’t kill the women in the compound. It only subjects them to suffering and continues struggle until they live and dîé at their appropriate time the way the woman who was buried alive suffered and struggled before she dîéd. That’s why is only women in your compound cater for their families but they have to suffer to work for it because only women are left to be seeing money. But the money they will be seeing is for feed, children’s school fees, and house rent which they can’t afford to pay yearly but monthly.
Your late landlord did all this not because of himself but because of his generation. He wants wealth to remain in his lineage. None of his generation will ever be poor as long as people keep living and dyîng in the compound. But in generations to come. the people he kîlléd and the people his compound has taken their heads will raise against his generation.
Odinaka became terrified and sick in the stomach.
Woman of God did you just say I have only one year to live?
Yes, you don’t have up to one year to live if something is not done about it. Woman of God answered.
What should be done woman of God let it be done I don’t want to dîé now, please. Odinaka asked.
The only remedy is to move out of the compound before you clock fifty. The woman of God answered.
But woman of God can’t you come for liberation in our compound to set everyone free? Odika asked.
Hahaha! I told you something before, I told you someone who lives in another man’s compound doesn’t plant flowers. You have no business in what is happening in another man’s compound. A visitor will always come and go. If it were to be in your father’s compound you would have optioned for family liberation to keep the next generation safe and alive. I do not go for family liberation either but if you insist you want to get another man or woman of God to come and do it for you all in the compound. You can go ahead and do it but be warned you don’t fight what is bigger than you.
Is there no other way out apart from leaving the compound because there is no money anywhere to get another apartment? Odinaka asked.
Stubborn Odinaka. It is only a tree that heard it will be kîlléd and remains where it is. Anyways it is not your fault. Odinaka take your wife and children and seek refuge in your father’s compound. It is a matter of time and you will bounce back. Woman of God said.
No! No! woman of God. So many in my village don’t know my condition is worst like this. It is a total failure going back to the village I put no block in or constructed a mold house. Okay, I’ve agreed. I will pack out but please help me and beg God to give me a small time to get money and move out. Just a little time ma. Odinaka said.
The money you couldn’t get after so many years. What made you think you will get it now? Listen Odinaka, procrastination kîlls. Woman of God warns.
