PART 2.
MY DESIRES 🔥💖
(A story inspired by a true life event)
I met Daniel during my first year at the university. We dated for five years before we both parted ways due to some misunderstanding that was caused by Daniel. He is just a few months older than me, and the first man to explore my femininity little wonder he understands the secrets to unlock my desires because he knew me better than I did.
Nonetheless, my husband-to-be is an amazing man. He embodies extraordinary qualities that make him the embodiment of every lady’s dream. Kennedy who is five years older than me, is cool-headed, family-oriented, hardworking, loving, caring, and attentive to my demands. I met him a few weeks after my split from Daniel. Then I was still recovering from the heartache Daniel caused me.
The day we met, My friend Alex forced me to come spend some quality time with her. A way to help distract my mind from thoughts. It was love at first sight for Kennedy who was there for a business meeting with a client during his lunch break. Rather than approach me, he discreetly settled our bills and left his business card with the waiter, instructing him to hand it to me.
So when I and my friend requested our bill after our meal, we were puzzled and intrigued to hear a certain gentleman had covered our expenses. And amidst our curiosity and evident surprise, the waiter handed me a business card.
“And, what’s this?” I questioned, my burrows furrowing in bewilderment.
“The business card of the man who settled your bills. He asked that It be given to you,” The waiter elucidated.
I turned to Alex in shock and she nodded encouraging me to accept the card which I reluctantly did. Heaven knows that by then, I sincerely wasn’t interested in building any form of relationship with another man.
After that day, Alex kept persuading me to give the mysterious gentle man a call to at least show my appreciation. I initially refused but after much pressure, I reluctantly gave Kennedy a call. Little did I know that he was the man for me.
Our relationship began as a friendship, gradually involving a romance that led to us getting married. All this happened within six months. A desire that had remained unfulfilled throughout my five years relationship with Daniel.
Now, caught in a dilemma between going to Daniel or having him come meet me in my hotel room, my heart raced with uncertainty, anxiousness, and restlessness in fear of the possible outcome of either of the options.
I rejoined my girls struggling to concentrate on the festivities. Suddenly, a message from Daniel popped up on my phone screen. I anxiously opened the message while ensuring my privacy.
“You have six minutes more,” The message read.
Seeing this, my heart sank yet, I quickly feigned a smile at my girls concealing the tumult within.
With time slipping away, I faked a phone call and left my hotel room. And without thinking, I navigated the hallway in search of room 112 while cautiously ensuring that I wasn’t been followed.
Before I knew it, I stood before Daniel’s hotel room, a decision spurred by curiosity, recklessness, and an undeniable residual affection.
With a deep breath, I summoned the courage to knock on his door, my heartbeat racing in rhythm with my knuckle’s contact with the wood.
Shortly after, the door swung open revealing Daniel whom I last saw six months ago. He was looking hotter and more charming than usual and this, strangely reignited the feelings and desires I thought had long faded within me. Gazing into his eyes, my consciousness was immediately flooded with memories of all the passionate and pleasurable nights and embraces we shared. I was lost and trapped in the world of my imagination when his voice suddenly snapped me back to reality.
“Hey.., hey..,” He called snapping his fingers at my face.
“Huh?,” I startled shaking off the dreamlike haze that had momentarily consumed me.
“What were you thinking? Hurry on and come in before somebody sees you,” He said urging me to come in.
Oh, yes. I had almost forgotten that being seen with him can ruin my chances of getting married. And with haste, I stepped into the room and he abruptly shut the door behind me.
“So, what did you want to discuss?” I immediately asked turning to him with my arms crossed defensively.
“Is that the ideal way to initiate a conversation with someone you haven’t seen in months?” Daniel questioned with a smirk tugging at his lips.
He strolled over to the table situated in the left corner of the room and retrieved a bottle of red wine along with two glass cups.
“How about we begin with a drink?” He proposed, raising the wine gracefully.
It was strange how the wine he picked turned out to be my favorite wine. And for a moment, I was tempted to ask how he knew about the right wine to get but then, I was suddenly reminded of how much he knows me.
“No, I will pass,” I declined his offer.
“But, why? I thought this was your favorite?” He expressed shock and confusion evident in his tone.
“Yeah, it used to be. But unfortunately, I no longer have a taste for red wines,” I lied defensively.
“That’s strange,” He said staring at the wine with a look of sadness laced with disappointment on his face.
“Please, Daniel. You have already taken up a lot of my time. Can you please get to the point of why you called me here?” I urged in fear that my girls might start to wonder where I was.
“Alright,” He calmly conceded, returning the wine and glass cups to where he had originally picked them from.
“So, won’t you at least take a seat?” He asked pointing out a seat for me.
“Don’t bother about me, Daniel. I am fine standing,” I declared maintaining my stance.
“That’s okay,” He heaved out a deep sigh and walked up to the bed where he slowly lowered himself. Then rubbing his palms on his thighs he began,
“Vivian, I acknowledge that I messed up my opportunity to be with you…”
“…. I’m glad you know that,” I interrupted rolling my eyes, immediately looking away.
“But the truth is, I never stopped loving you,” He revealed.
Upon hearing this, I swiftly turned staring at him in a blend of disgust and unbelief.
“Really?,” I scoffed.
“Yes, Vivian. The reason I distanced myself from you was my fear of becoming like my father who failed as both a husband and father. I was scared that I might not be ready for the responsibilities that lay ahead. I feared that I might not be able to provide you with the happiness and fulfillment you have always desired due to my lack of family orientation,” He sincerely and remorsefully admitted.
“And you call this an excuse? Daniel, what made you think that such a flimsy excuse can make up for the heartbreak and agony you put me through? I asked and pleaded for one simple thing which is that you love me the same way I loved you. But no, you kept playing it safe making it look as though I was the only person in the relationship. Do you have any idea how that made me feel? Often, I felt like I was asking for much. Sometimes, I felt I wasn’t doing enough. And now you suddenly show up with these irrelevant and lame excuses for your actions,” I poured out in pain.
“I understand, Vivian,” He responded rising to his feet and approaching me, his eyes reflecting both pain and guilt.
“I know I have wronged you. I know It was wrong of me to suddenly step back leaving you to shoulder the relationship alone. But believe me, it wasn’t intentional,” He said, his voice quivering with suppressed tears.
“Oh, yeah? It wasn’t intentional you say?” I retorted, my tone charged with anger.
“Yes, as I mentioned earlier, my actions were influenced by the fear of failing in a marriage with you,” He explained.
“What marriage? Was there even a time you entertained the notion of marrying me during the five years we spent together?” I fired angrily at him.
“Yes, Vivian. Countless times, I have envisioned building a life and a future with you. But these dreams are often thwarted by my innermost fear of ending up like my father. I feared that I might not be the right man for you given your virtuous nature. You were just too good and perfect in every way,” He confessed, tears finally escaping his eyes.
Seeing him in tears, I was rendered speechless, unable to find the right words in response.
“I believed that letting you go was the best most selfless act I could do for you considering that I wasn’t good enough and that you deserved better. But letting you go created a void in my heart that no one else has been able to refill,” He declared, standing before me.
Silent and contemplative, I watched him reach for my left hand, his gaze fixated on the engagement ring adorning my finger.
“How beautiful.” He murmured with a sad smile emerging amidst his tears., “You know, I have always fantasized about putting such a ring on your finger,” He said.
Hearing this, I immediately freed my hand from his grip.
“Enough, Daniel. I belong to another now,” I asserted, my gaze unwavering as I looked at him.
“Yes, I know. And I’m not going to ask you to leave him as long as he makes you happy,” He said smiling sadly at me while gently sweeping a few strands of hair away from my face.
“Yes, he does make me happy if that’s what you need to hear. I guess I can now take my leave,” I said attempting to leave.
However, he immediately grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to himself.
“And what do think you are doing?” I questioned glaring into his eyes in defense.
“Shhh!,” He silenced me, placing his finger against my lips.
“By happiness I mean, does he satisfy you more than I do?,” He softly whispered into my ears.
And just as I was about to push him away, his hand ventured beneath my dress, navigating directly to my region. Thereby, immediately igniting my urge and desires just the way I liked to be touched.
