For Better For Worse đ

So after I left his parents house that day and yes of course I questioned him on why he didnât tell me but he wonât stop trying to justify himself that he did it for a purpose and I told him that what if I didnât want to date a rich guy from onsets that what did he think might just happen? Because I might decided to quit it with him, itâs not every girl that likes marrying a rich guy. they prefer working out their money together with their partners and Iâm part of them. So seeing how he planned everything really got me m@d and I had to tell my friend Adesewa shortened as Sewa. She is truly a damsel by the virtue of her name, I only had her as friend because of her kindness. She is my only closed friend all through my service year. We gist together, hang out together and infact lodge together. I also confined in her at times and she can gues my reaction at a glance. When I returned from my outing with Peter, she noticed immediately that I was not happy, she followed me into the room and asked what happened. By the time I finished telling her everything she was really happy when I was expecting her to be m@d at him.
âThis is so great Temmy!.
âHow?.â I asked.
âYou should be glad that he eventually took you to his parents, what if he keeps hiding his real Identity till the end?.
âHe canât do that, because I will still get to know in the endâ I snapped with my finger tips.
âThat is it! He knows that you will definitely know in the end and thatâs why he took you there when he sees that you have passed his test. But omĂł (still amazed) so that guy really get money.
âYes ooo he does, and if you see how I was nervous ehn (I laughed) I donât even know why it just happened all of a sudden. His father voice almost got me pee on my body.
She laughed aesthetically covering her mouth, she did that most times whenever sheâs laughing so serious.
I hope your stomach didnât sink?.
âIt did ooo I wonât lie. Asking me questions here and there, ko easy.â I answered in my usual manner, I talk most times in English and my dialect Yoruba.
âYou have tactically becomes his fiancĂ©e then.
âI think so.
âNot you think so, it is you are. Awww Temmy, Temmy Iâm so happy for you. That ugly guy that we were bashing you for going out with is actually stinking rich. This life ehn, you just canât predict anyone.
âExactly, I think that is what he was trying to prove by his act.â I answered. âLook at the provisions he bought for me while coming.
âI saw it when you entered, I have checked them and all I can say is…. your really lucky.
âI am not lucky, it is just how it happened.
She nodded her head and started bringing out all the things he bought.
âWhen are you going to visit him again or you donât want to talk to him?.
âHe said he will be taking me out tomorrow in the afternoon for shopping again.
âEhn!.â She turns back immediately at me in a surprised look. â He will be taking you out for shopping?.
âYes, but I donât really like the fact that he wanted to start spoiling me with things all because he has introduced himself finaly.
âCome on come off it Temmy! What are you even saying? Someone said he want to take you out and youâre complaining chai! I don suffer (she sit on the bed) this is your time of enjoyment and you should grab your copy at once! Complaining, isigini? You better be joking.
âYou of all people should know me vividly that I really donât fancy all about expensive things like going out with a guy because of his money andâŠ.â
âAbeg keep quiet! (She interrupted me) Who nor like better thing ehhhhhh see me see Temmy ooo.â She started mimicking me. âI really donât fancy all about expensive things, like going out with a man because of his money andâŠtai forget am jor babe! Go out with him, itâs your luck just like I said. And if you then feels like you donât want him (rolling her eyes) ehnn maybe you should just transfer him to me.â She twisted her eyes and smirk jokingly.
I knew he to be a very funny person and I can really tell that she is joking, we both laughed and I eventually agreed to accept the fact that it all turns out this way. She carried the provisions to go arranged them in our kitchen because the house we rented is self contain. While she was doing that I turn on my data to see if I have gotten messages on Whatsapp most especially about my online business. Peter message has comes up multiple times and I had to reply fast because one thing about him is that he is always hot tempered when he doesnât get response on time.
Peter: Hey babe! 6.25pm
Are you home?
Call me when you get home. 6.45pm
I have called your line severally and it wasnât rechargeable, what is going on?. 7.05pm
Temmy, just reply me when you come online or better still call me.â 8.34pm.
Looking at his messages I knew his last message must have really pissed him off and I am very sure he must be so angry right now.
âMy guy don vex ooo.â I said to Sewa from the bed I was.
âWatin happen?.â She asked from the kitchen. I can sense that she is already cooking noodles out of the provisions I brought. Sheâs someone that doesnât joke with food or her stomach.
âI forgot to call him when I entered and he has bombarded me with message on Whatsapp.
âHe should know that you might have forgotten na, or is he going to flare up like that day again?.
âplease I donât want to remember that day abeg.â I faintly laughed thinking if I should call or message him. I have been carried away by my anger and conversation with Temmy and didnât remember to call. âWhat do you think? should I message him or just call him straight up?.
She came out with a spoon in her mouth, licking what I donât know. She shakes her head to figure out what to say.
âI think you should reply him.
âWhy?.â I asked to know the reason.
