Chapter 9
Michael sat in his parlour devastated thinking and crying at the same time , paschal was beside him consoling and cheering him up giving him the impression that Sandra wasn’t dead
Michael called him a mad man and pushed him aside warning him never to come closer to him again
I’m not mad Michael,I’m telling you the truth, Sandra isn’t dead believe me.. Paschal said holding the door knob
Can you please leave this house? Edozie and Khloe killed my woman, now my daughter doesn’t have a mother anymore, that girl is now motherless… Michael said wiping his tears
We will deal with Edozie and Khloe but stop crying, Sandra isn’t dead..he said
Michael didn’t respond,he stood up and went to his room
Sandra’s mum at the other hand had travelled back to inform her family about Sandra’s demise and Khloe’s disappearance
Clara fought Mary laying accusations on her, going round to tell everyone that Mary killed her daughter
Sandra’s father tried to calm Clara down but all proved abortive
Clara was lying on the floor one morning when she started talking to herself, she stood up and walked down to the main road still murmuring to herself and crying at the same time
Sandra’s mum followed her behind begging her to come back , Clara kept on walking like a ghost still murmuring to herself
Mary went closer to her so as to hear her clearly
“You killed my daughter Sandra” Clara murmured
Mary stood aside and held her hand asking her to repeat what she just said
Sandra is my daughter,you killed her Mary… said Clara staring into space
Sandra is my daughter and Khloe who’s missing is your daughter I don’t know what you’re talking about or are you going insane? Mary shouted
Clara freed herself from Mary’s grip and left her standing with her mouth widely opened
Mary followed her immediately and kept on listening to what she was saying
Mary got home, she rushed inside her room and saw her husband arranging his clothes
Who is Sandra’s bilogical parents? She asked panting
What do you mean Mary?
I don’t like repeating myself which you know,who is Sandra’s bilogical parents,I heard Clara saying that Sandra is her daughter..Mary said
He didn’t respond,he sighed and left the room
Michael came to pay Sandra’s parents a visit and also to discuss the burial arrangements with them
He was shocked when he heard Clara shouting and calling Mary names
She was calling Mary and her husband a thief
“If you’re not a thief why did you swap Khloe and Sandra the moment they were born,why did you do that… you thought I gave birth to a baby boy right”….. Khloe shouted
Mary couldn’t believe her ears, she stared at her husband and asked him if what Clara said was all true,her husband nodded raising his hands up and begging for forgiveness
You knew all these and kept quiet Clara..her husband shouted
I never wanted to expose her yet but she pushed me, she made me treat my daughter my daughter like an outcast.. Clara cried
Michael stood mopping at them with his mouth widely opened, when he realized himself he rushed to the backyard and carried Kiara to his car and drove off
Edozie and Khloe were busy making arrangements to travel back to the village
They flew down to the village the next day and met the greatest shock of their lives
Sandra was sitting and crying beside Clara crying her heart out, Khloe wasn’t shocked
Edozie stared at Sandra like a ghost,he washed his face several times to fully confirm she was the one
You’re evil Edozie,I hate you.. Sandra shouted pointing fingers at him
I thought you were dead, how come you’re here, what are you doing here? Edozie asked devastated
Sandra didn’t respond, she Continued crying on Clara’s laps, within minutes Michael and paschal drove in
