CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP ON FIRE
CHAPTER 9
(Hot Sharwarma)

“IMMORALITY KILLS!” The Sisters cord, Sis Lizzy preached against sexual immorality over and over in the fellowship.

Queen mother was angry. Linda was furious and Sister Lizzy wouldn’t stop. The spirit of immorality and sexual pervertion still loomed in the fellowship and Sis Lizzy was driving it out.

After one of those charges about Sexual Purity, Linda intercepted Sister Lizzy on her way home after the service.
“Happy Sunday ma, I just love your exhortation today. These are the things every lady on campus should know. IMMORALITY IS A KILLER. You really hit the nail on the head.”
“Ahh, we bless God ma. All glory be to God ma.” Sis Lizzy replied.

“Infact…” Linda brought out something wrapped in foil paper. “I got this for you as a token of my appreciation.” She smiled.

“Wow! Really?! You didn’t have to ma. Awwn. I’m so touched.” Sister Lizzy smiled. “But the thing is, I’m fasting ma, so I can’t take this. I’m sorry.”

“That’s the reason why you ought to collect this. It will save you the stress of cooking. You can use this to break now…abi?” Sister Linda pressed the parcel into the confused Sisters’ Coordinator’s palms and rushed off before she could argue.

Sister Comfort who witnessed the whole conversation from afar walked up to Sister Lizzy excitedly.
“Ahnahn, Mama! Is that not shawarma in your hand?” She eyed the parcel hungrily.

Sister Lizzy sighed. Wasn’t this the same Sister Comfort she called aside just last month, cautioning her to mind what and how she eats?

“Yesso. Sister Linda just gave me as a gift. I even told her not to bother, but she insisted.”

“Haba. Mama Lizzy, shebi you said we shouldn’t reject gifts now.”
The Sisters’ Coordinator couldn’t contain her amusement. “Ye! When did I say that dakun?”

“Mama forget. Even Jesus said, we should receive whatever food is placed before us.” Sister Comfort defended

“Toor.” Sister Lizzy resigned. The people Jesus was referring to were the seventy-two he sent out on evangelism.
“So? How far Mama? Have you decided to break your fast, or should I help you overcome this temptation?”

“You mean I should give you this shawarma right?” She stretched it towards Sister Comfort just to see if she would actually collect it.

Sister Comfort snatched it from her hand and sniffed it. “Kai. It’s still very hot.” She said as she unwrapped it.

“Be calming down now. You didn’t even pray over it.” Sister Lizzy wanted to grab her close and collect it from her, but Sister Comfort dodged and immediately took a bite. The frustrated Sisters’ Coordinator tried to conceal her annoyance.

“Mama, you don’t know what you’re missing sha! God bless Sister Linda for me.” She said with her mouth full.
“Mama I will see you later. It should be a punishable offence, to eat Shawarma as nice and tasty as this one, without stepping it down with a very chilled juice.”

“You won’t frustrate me you this girl…” Sister Lizzy started but Sister Comfort wasn’t even listening anymore. She skipped off, happily munching on the deadly snack.

From where Queen mother and Linda were observing from their kingdom, they were grunting in annoyance as they watched Sister Comfort consume what was meant for Sister Lizzy. Sister Comfort had scattered their plans to hold the Sisters Coordinator in bondage.

“Ahh!” Queen Mother bit her nails in anger. Dejected, Linda asked. “So what do we do now? Do we still hold that glutton of a sister in bondage? What do we do now?!” She whined.

Queen mother hissed, eying Linda scornfully. “This is all your fault. Couldn’t you have waited to make sure she ate it? As for Comfort, don’t bother with her. There is no need exerting our energy on her. She poses no threat at all to our kingdom, so let her be. Instead, she’ll our very own puppet. Yes, she’ll work for us without her even realizing it.”

“Hmmmm. Wonderful!” Linda nodded in amazement.
