CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP ON FIRE
CHAPTER 19
(Power Pass Power)

“Where, exactly am I?” Prayo Moses said as he examined the unfamiliar environment.
“President Gbile, Sister Eunice, Bro Fola. Where are you guys? Where is everybody?” Ah, what is going on? Is this the afterlife?”

“No. it isn’t.” A voice said behind him and Prayo Moses ran back in fear. He was not alone after all.

A fair-skinned and handsome young man moved close to where the Prayer Coordinator bent his head in fear.

“Fear not Moses. I am but a messenger such as you are.” The handsome young man was clad in a white robe. Prayo Moses noticed ancient-looking sandals on his feet.

The strange young man placed his hands on Prayo Moses’s shoulders as he led him to an unusually bright tunnel.

As they walked on…

“All the questions racing through your mind are screaming in my ears. I can hear them loud and clear. So, ask what you want.”

“Sir, where am I? Is this the afterlife?” He was still unable to believe his eyes.

At this, the young man smiled. “No. Now is not the time for you to enter into your inheritance. There’s still much work for you to do on earth. I was sent to bring you back to the year 1996.”

“But how come? We’re in 2019. How come sir?”
While he was still speaking, he noticed that they had arrived at a house.

It had a large parlour filled with people who were singing praises to God. It was the child dedication ceremony of Deborah Ilerioluwakiiye Kosoko. Her mother was all smiles. Tears of joy trickled down her face as she rocked her baby in her arms.

“My covenant child. My promise. My Deborah. My warrior princess. A gift to her generation. A woman who would put tens of thousands of the host of darkness to flight.” Her mum kept crying before the beautiful clueless infant.

Her husband reached out to her in a side hug as his emotions overwhelmed him.
They had been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb for good fifteen years.

Prayo Moses was perplexed.
“Eh sir, please who are those people with the child? And who is that baby?” The young man smiled.

“That is Deborah Kosoko” the young man said.
As Bro Moses contemplated on where he might have heard that name from, the young man continued. “You know her as Sister Linda.”

“You mean that young girl that put our fellowship in disarray and tried to seduce me to commit fornication?!” He could not believe his ears.

“She was not always like that. She was kidnapped and initiated when she was five.” The young man sighed.

“Decades before her birth, her star was discovered by the rulers of the world. She was sent to be a liberator of men. To give strength to the downcast and heal the broken hearted. Her assignment on Earth was indeed an intimidating one to the forces of darkness, so they captured and initiated her years before she could manifest her calling.”

“Ahhhhhhh!” The Prayer cord exclaimed as deep remorse for the young girl filled his heart.
“But then, how did this happen with no one detecting it?”

“It was easy. Her grandmother already belonged to the fraternity. She kidnapped and covenanted her to the kingdom of darkness and her name was changed to Linda, meaning a snake.”

“Ahhhhhhh!” The Prayer cord couldn’t hold back his tears.

“Presently, she is under strong demonic influence, and needs to be delivered as she is headed to her doom.” The man said.

“Kai! But sir, I am still unable to understand how she crept her way into the church. Wasn’t the Father aware?”

“Yes. Her taking down the fellowship was permitted. It was a win-win. In order for the Ancient of Days to set His people in order, bring back revival by dealing with your hidden sins and weaknesses, and also reclaim Deborah Kosoko from the clutches of the Kingdom of darkness. Linda was used as a corrective tool in the hands of the Father.”

Just then, the image of Deborah came in view.
Her long black hair was a mess, she looked like one who hadn’t taken her bath in years. Roaming barefooted on the streets like an insane woman.

“Behold Deborah. She is being tormented by her inner demons. They are leading her to her doom. As we speak, she’s on her way to a lagoon to drown herself and end her misery. Thousands of voices are speaking in her head and she just wants to shut those voices out. It’s up to you and the other warriors to save her.” The young man turned to leave.

“But sir, you’ve not introduced yourself to me. I will have to explain to my colleagues, so please tell me who you are.”

The young man smiled. As he smiled on, his young handsome face became fearful and wonderful all of a sudden. He was decked with a golden armour and wielded a flaming sword.

“I am the angel assigned to your campus fellowship from the beginning. Carry on, your comrades are waiting for you on the battle field.”
