Campus Fellowship episode 15

CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP ON FIRE
CHAPTER 15
(Flee Youthful Lust, Part 1)

READ PRAYERFULLY.

Prayo Moses felt unusual that morning. He barely slept the night before as he had a heavy burden to watch and pray for the fellowship. Especially after the strange dream he had about the fellowship.

In his dream, he was about entering into the fellowship auditorium, when he noticed an unfamiliar and strange looking old man roaming about the fellowship grounds. The old man had a large digger in his hands and to the Prayer cord’s amazement, he wielded it as though it were as light as a pencil.

“Baba good afternoon sir. Are you looking for anybody sir? There’s no service today sir…” The Prayer cord wanted to explain, but the old man interruped him.

“I know. I’m aware of that. I wouldn’t even come to near this place, even on a service day.” The man said bitterly.

Prayo Moses wanted to take offense in the man’s words, but he calmed. “So what are you here for sir?” He asked. The old man only eyed him pitifully, then sighed as he located a side of the building.

Prayo Moses walked up to him to observe what he wanted to do with his digger. The old man inspected the foundation of the auditorium then shook his head pitifully again.
He raised up his digger to land a forceful blow on the bricks to shatter it.

Ah! Baba what are you doing! Please stop sir! Don’t destroy the foundation of this great house…” Prayo Moses pleaded in tears as held the old man’s hand mid-air. He was still pleading and crying when he woke up.

The rain had been falling for hours and the heavy downpour only increased.
He finished his activities in school, he came back home to wait on God.

After praying, travailing, crying and complaining for about five hours, God was still silent. Then he was led to read the book of Colossians 1:16, “For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by Him and for Him”.

“Even when the enemy thought they’ve seen the end of Jesus when they nailed him to the cross, they never knew they were working according to God’s original plan. Also, when Joseph’s brothers cruelly sold him to slavery, God was busy working underneath. Indeed, God can turn the worst cases and scenarios into a beautiful outcome.” He brooded in his heart. Opening passages as he was led.

He was still brooding over it when he heard a knock on his door.
“Ahnahn, I wonder who could come visiting by 8pm and wouldn’t think it wise to inform me. Under this heavy rain again. What matter of urgency would warrant such?” He sighed as he reluctantly got up from where he sat on his rug.

The banging on his door became louder. He tried peeping from between his window curtains but couldn’t make out the face of the person standing in front of his room.
He turned his lock twice and opened the door. He was so shocked at what and who he was looking at that his breath caught in his throat.

Earlier that day…
“Linda, Linda!” Queen mother called Linda from her slumber.

“How can you be sleeping when your house is on fire?!” Queen mother snarled.
Linda jerked off her bed thinking her house was actually on fire. After she realized that Queen mother wasn’t speaking literally, she calmed down.

“You’re having your beauty sleep on a mission field? I expected more!” The older woman rolled her eyes at her sleepy servant.

“An Executive in the fellowship whom I’m not worthy to pronounce his name has grown restless. He has denied himself food and sleep just to seek the face of the Mighty One. As we speak, our kingdom is in chaos. It’s only a little while before his prayers thwart our plans. Linda we are all counting on you.”

“But what about the President and the Sisters cord, won’t they serve as a major roadblock?”

“The President?” The Queen gave a mockery laugh. “Just like you, he’s too busy in the dreamland to make a move. He slumbers spirituality. And the Sister Cord is too busy praying about her marital life to pose any threat to us.”

“Let me tell you Linda, all these Excos you’re seeing, it’s the strength of the Mighty One they’re using. They all have little foxes eating them up.”

“Like they actually rear foxes?” Linda was amused.
Queen mother just sighed at the young girl’s ignorance.

“You speak as a child. They all have weaknesses. They have loopholes. We just have to leverage them.” Queen mother said.

“I’m ready to do anything within my power to avert this impending doom from our kingdom.” Linda got down on one knee to receive the instruction of her mistress.

“Good. This is where you will have to put your beauty and charms to good use. You’ll be needing all of it when you go to confront that Prayer Cord tomorrow evening.”

“I assure you and everyone in our kingdom. The insolent Prayer cord will SLAIN by evening.”

“I call forth my life partner. I call forth the perfect will of God for me in marriage. I call you forth wherever you are, locate me by fire! Let there be a divine orchestration and direction that will bring us together in Jesus mighty name…” She marched to and fro both ends of her room in serious prayers.

“Elizabeth… Elizabeth…”
A calm voice nudged at her heart, but she waved it off and increased her voice.
“My God sent. The crown of my head, I call you forth by fire!”

“Elizabeth…”
Because God said we should command HIM. Father, wherever the man You have chosen for me is, from the four corners of the Earth, bring him to me by fire!”

“ELIZABETH!!!”
Immediately, Sister Lizzy felt a painful jab at her heart that she fell to the ground and wrapped her hands tightly over her chest. Trembling, she rocked back and forth on the floor and felt chills all over her body.

A cold breeze blew past her even though her windows and door were securely shut. Her temperature had become irregular, switching from cold to hot and vice versa. As the pain slowly subsided, and everywhere grew silent around her, she heard in her spirit.

“Pray for Moses.”

“Sister Lin…Lind…Linda?” The Prayer Cord stammered.

Linda was really desperate to get to Bro Moses’s house that evening. The heavy rain did nothing to deter her. “As the Christians say, all things work together for good.” she said as she shook under the rain. Cars stopped by her to give her a lift but she nicely declined.

She had applied water proof makeup so that was not her problem, her hair dripped from the rain and her clothes stuck to her body, but she didn’t mind. She was on a mission. “The Prayer Cord goes down tonight!”

His house was already in sight and she had to take a good look at herself for the last time. Confident, she smiled. “No flesh can resist this. It’s not possible.”

She had intentionally chosen a body hug chiffon gown, and the rain did a good job in making it more transparent and see through as possible. One wouldn’t need to stress before knowing the colour of her matching underwear.

Immediately she saw the door open, she began to cry.
