CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP ON FIRE
CHAPTER 14
(If The Foundation Be Destroyed)

“Lindaaa! Wake up now! The Executives of the fellowship are having a meeting. If they arrive at a consensus and pray together in agreement just once, all our plans will come to naught and you’ll be chased out of the fellowship! Wake up!” Queen Mother materialized in Linda’s dream to alert her.

At that, Linda jerked off her bed. She knew what she had to do. She had been lying low for so long, she got distracted.
She crouched before her bed stand and pulled out a large crate which she stored all her powers, curious arts and fetishes.

She searched frantically for which one to use as she was running out of time. An idea clicked.

“What if I project the spirit of confusion into their midst?” And that was exactly what she did.

She shut her window and ensured her door was securely locked. Pulling the curtains of her room down, she double checked to ensure her door was locked. “One can’t be too careful.” There and then in her room she pulled off her clothes and stood unclad to perform the rites.

The bitter concotion made with fresh blood was on her right hand, and she had her sacred staff of power on her left. Then she began to chant. Rolling the staff over the concotion in a clockwise manner.

“Spirit of confusion I summon you. Go immediately into their midst and distract them so they won’t come in agreement. Go noooowwww!”

“Which foundation is Mama talking about now? Foundation kor, cement ni. Just be using big big Grammer as if English determines one’s level of spirituality, mtcheew. Let them just do quick abeg. Kunle is taking me out tonight!” Visitation Cord, Sister Eunice grumbled under her breath.

Many times, Sister Eunice missed church service just to hang out with her boyfriend, Kunle, leaving all the responsibilities to her subordinates. Whenever she was questioned, she always had one perfect excuse or the other to give.

Sister Eunice had always secretly resented Sister Lizzy the Sisters Coordinator because she felt she liked doing oversabi and liked to behave overly spiritual.

“Haba, is it every time you will be seeing vision about the fellowship and making us tarry in meetings because of your incessant prayer points that you always receive?” She eyed.

Bro Fola’s voice rang through the silence, jolting her from her reverie. “Eh sir, the issue is Prayo Moses. He is the one distracting all the sisters in church. Little wonder why most sisters don’t come for service any longer. He has probably promised dozens of them marriage.” Bro Fola blurted unashamedly.

The innocent Prayer cord wanted to blow up in anger to refute the annoying thing spewing out of Bro Fola’s mouth but his spirit calmed him down.

“Ah, Bro Fola! How do you know?! The whole Executive cried out in unison.

“Leave him let him say his mind. Is it because I’ve been keeping calm all this while? See as Sister Lizzy will always be doing over spiritual every time in Exco meeting, as if the rest of us Exco cannot hear from God.” Sister Eunice rose up from her chair.

“Yawa don gas! Gobe ti shele! Who go settle this matter bayii?” Bro Rotimi the Drama cord who was playful and unserious clapped his hands and
folded them under his armpit. He then leaned on his chair to enjoy the show.

“You’re just like a pot calling kettle black, Sister Eunice. Have I not caught you countless times, even during service hours, coming out of the same hotel where I deliver products to?!” The Music Director charged, pointing his fingers accusingly.

President Gbile was too stunned to speak. He was just swallowing his spit.
The foundation is not only faulty like Sister Lizzy said. The foundation has fallen.

The Prayer cord was not allowed to speak as yet. He just placed his hands on his chin, wondering how they got to this position.

After few minutes of pointing accusing fingers, snide and hurtful remarks and some shocking unveiling of bitter envy, the meeting was adjourned.
