Episode 5
I managed to get home and I ran straight to my room to get the anointing oil Alice got for me during her stay, I emptied the whole bottle on my bike while shouting “Blood of Jesus” and praying… My shout attracted the neighbors but I told them all is well except Peter…
Guy, what’s wrong with you? What happened? He asked
My brother, my good will almost landed me in trouble today… While coming back from the office along “odoba Street”, I decided to be a good Samaritan ooo, you know how quiet that path can be at night na, I saw a lady stranded there so I decided to give her lift, she only told me to “go straight” after sometime I asked her where she will be dropping but I didn’t hear anything… I turned back but didn’t see anyone on my bike. I am really confused.
“Is that why you are worried? Please cheer up, I am sure she’s just trying to scare you or maybe she was thinking you may request for the transfer fare of which she doesn’t have, she ran because she don’t want embarrassment… Is this why you were shouting up and down? relax my guy! He said”
Thanks Peter, I am a bit relieved now.
BETTY’S POV
So this guy has not called me for about a month, what have I done to myself… Anna is not happy with me because she thinks I have thrown away a huge opportunity. Should I call him?
What if he’s already going out with another girl? No, Akor doesn’t look like a flirt… I can’t believe I have feelings for this guy, I can’t even stop thinking about him… Should I pay him a surprise visit? Oh! What is wrong with me…
AKOR’S POV
I woke up feeling so tired… It was a long night because I was so scared and that made me to be awake for most part of the night but nothing strange happened…
I came out of my room and saw Peter.
Peter: my guy how was your night?
Me: fine oooo
Peter: she come visit you at all?
Me: why you the talk like that na…
Peter: sorry ooo, I was just kidding though, remember I told you she ran away to avoid paying her fare… I don’t really believe those things exist o, I don’t believe in ghost or whatsoever, don’t allow that thing to bother you at all…
Me: thank you so much for your support Peter, today’s Sunday so I will just relax at home and clear my head
Peter: which of your babe is coming today na?
Me: I am a changed person please, old things has past away and this is the new me you are seeing… No more flirting.
Peter: ‘laughing so hard’ you mean am? The great Akor giving up so fast? Common guy, why will you give up on such enjoyment? I wish I am as cute as you are, girls would have been in trouble…
Me: you are a bad influence Peter…I will talk to you later, let me freshen up.
Immediately I stepped into my room, I saw a missed call, I was trying to check who called when I saw another call coming in… I picked the call, guess who? Betty.
Hello, who’s on the line? I said
“It’s me Betty, so you deleted my number from your phone right? after that day you didn’t even call me back, is it because of that little slap that you are this mad at me?” She said…
Oh! Betty, how are you, it’s being a while… Sorry I didn’t call I’ve been so busy with work that’s why I didn’t call you. Hope you are fine.
I am fine, are you going to be at home today? Can I visit you later in the day please?… she said
Off course yes! You can come I said.
I will be there at 4pm she said and hung up the call.
Yay, I said to myself after the call… At least I will get back my investment today! I arranged my room, freshen up and started counting down.
At 3:45 I got a call from Betty and she asked if I could pick her up but I declined immediately. She then said she’s on her way.
I quickly spread my room with air freshener and sat down waiting for her… My agony started immediately Betty walked into my room…
BETTY’S POV
“What just happened? is it that I am no more good enough for him? Why on Earth did I even try kissing him in the first place? What an embarrassment.” I said to myself. I checked up bunk and saw Anna chatting and smiling..
Anna, there’s something I need to talk to you about… I went to see Akor as you advised but something went wrong.
What happened? She asked
I went to his house, he welcomed me very well with a bottle of wine and was very happy to see me… We talked about so many things, and at a point we stopped talking and I decided to kiss him, when I went closer to him and we were about to lock our lips, he screamed!…
Episode 6
Why was he screaming? Anna asked
I don’t know, he suddenly shouted “Jesus” and called one name of which I don`t remember right now, I was asking him what was the problem but he was shouting and telling me to live him alone, I tried to persuade him so I could know what his problem is but he refused to tell me anything but kept begging me to live him alone, so I had to live.
You men you left him in that state? What if he’s just acting up to know the kind of girl you are? How will you just leave a man in that state? The other time, you slapped him and left him and today he’s trying to put you to a test and you still failed?… what kind of local girl are you, Anna said angrily…
How am I supposed to know he’s putting me to a test? I was so scared Anna, and that is why I had to leave in a hurry.
Betty I am so surprised you are this naive, imagine a guy offering you a wine on visitation… that means that guy has some class, in short I don’t want to talk about this anymore… make show you fix this mess she said and turned her back on me…
I just sat on my bed so confused and almost in tears because I might have blew my opportunity of getting that guy for myself…
AKOR`S POV
I sat on my couch frozen as I was trying to wrap my head around what just happened… immediately, I saw my curtain shifting as if something was there, I quickly ran to peter`s door while shouting his name… peter, peter peter ooooooo
Please come…
Peter: what is the problem? I just decided not to poke nose earlier when I had you yelling on Betty to leave you alone, I thought you had a fight with her after telling her you are no longer interested in any girl anymore… remember you told me earlier that you are a changed person.
Me: peter, there’s fire on the mountain, I think I just saw belial in my room
Peter: who is belial? Because me na betty I see ooo, abi another woman come join betty for your room? Did there fight? I can`t believe you didn’t call me to come and watch today…
Me: peter, are you listening to me at all? I mean I saw that lady I picked yesterday in my room…
Peter: I think you are having malaria fever…even in the movies, ghost don`t usually visit in the afternoon or evening for a start, but midnight… why is your own ghost visiting you this early? Shey, this your ghost don`t know midnight is better ni?
Me: peter are you kidding me? I am serious peter, I just saw her while trying to kiss betty, betty`s face changed to hers
Peter: you say what? Kiss betty? Have you forgotten what you told me some hours ago? That’s by the way because I never believed you. for the ghost, I think you are just imagining things, its normal to feel this way after experiencing something unusual, you need to stop thinking about that girl, ghost doesn’t exit my guy…
Me: you might be right because I have been thinking about the whole thing since morning…
Peter: please cheer up, nothing dey happen… I am always here for you, believe me Akor, there`s nothing like ghost, stop thinking about it or you will start having bad dreams…
Me: thanks peter, I will try getting her off my mind…..
I went into my room telling myself “there’s nothing like ghost, there don’t exist, its my imagination that is deceiving me”… so, at about 10pm I slept off because I had too much alcohol… not very long after I slept off, I felt a very very cold hand on my body… I jerked up immediately and……
