Ex Boyfriend episode 4

Ex-boyfriend Episode Four

Chima never wanted a situation whereby he would be dragging one woman with another man. It was part of the reason he was refusing to recommit his heart Linda. He did want to be heartbroken when she would make the decision to stick to Kele who is richer than him. He reasoned that it was better for him to remain single than be caught in a triangle of love. He know he is poor and it would be hard to fight over a beautiful woman with a rich man.

“Please, let me go. I will come out and leave. Instead of me causing trouble, I prefer to leave so that the two of you can have your time. If I stay, there could be a fight. Please, open the car door so I can go back to the hostel. Don’t worry, I will trek back to the hostel and your man will not know that I was ever here.” Chima said. His heart was beating very fast. Chima is largely a very peaceful man who cannot hurt a fly. He always walks away from trouble instead of putting his head into it.

“Don’t be afraid. He cannot do anything to you. Besides, he is not going to see you. Even if he sees you, he does not know who you are yet. He has not met you before and he doesn’t know that you are my ex-boyfriend. So stay calm in the car, I will go into the house, speak to him and convince him to go. When he leaves, I will call you to come in.” Linda said to Chima who nodded his head like a child receiving instruction from an adult.

“Alright! I will stay here as you have instructed!” Chima responded. Linda winds up her car windows and then leaves. She walked into her room and saw Kele sitting there mournfully. He does not look happy. It was as if something was troubling him greatly and he wanted to say it.

“You haven’t been picking my calls. Why have you been ignoring my calls? Did I do anything wrong? You ignored my text messages and you did not return my messages on WhatsApp. What is going on Linda? Is there anything you want me to know?” Kele asked Linda with a sad tone. It’s clear he was said and he was already suspecting that Linda was cheating on him.

“I’m sick! Can’t you see that I did not go to work today? I have been placed on one-week sick leave. I’m just coming from the hospital where I went to run some tests. I was told I have malaria and typhoid. Besides, it was only this morning that you called me. You didn’t even bother to check on me last night. I haven’t been feeling well since I left your house the other.” Linda said. She knew she was telling lies but that was her only way of escaping the fact that she was cheating on Kele.

“Oh God! I’m so sorry my love, I never knew you were not feeling fine. Please, forgive me. How are you feeling now? Were you treated at the hospital?” Kele said to Linda who at that time, was already lying down on her bed. She started pretending as if cold was catching her so as to deceive Kele.

“Are you catching cold? Should I boil water for you to take your bath? Should I go out and buy fruits for you? Please, what can I do to help you in this situation?” Kele asked. He was truly worried about Linda.

“No! No need for all these things. I have already eaten this morning. Please, don’t worry yourself. You can go to work and leave me. The doctor said I should take a bed rest. He said I should not talk too much or stress myself. He insisted that stress was part of the sickness dealing with me. So please, I would like to be left alone so that I will observe some rests.” Linda said tiresomely. She covered herself with her duvet.

“Alright! Let me leave, but please call me if you need anything. Just give me a call if you don’t feel better. I will take you to another hospital. Also, I will come back to check on you in the evening.” Kele said as he leaves the room reluctantly because Linda insisted he should leave.

“Alright! Don’t worry too much, I will be fine. It’s malaria.” Linda tells Kele. When Kele left the room, Linda stood up from her bed and watched him from the window. He saw as Kele entered his car and drove away. Linda then went to her car to call Chima who has been there, waiting for Kele to leave.

“Please lets go, the young man is gone.” Linda said to Chima when she got to her car. Chima emerged from the car and followed Linda into her house. When Chima entered the room, he was impressed after seeing how nicely it was decorated.

“Wow! Your room is beautiful.” Chima said

“Thank you.” Linda responded.

Later that evening, Kele, Linda’s fiancée visited her as promised. He got there and met Chima and Linda in the bed, though, they were not playing football. There is fire on the mountain.

“He has caught me and Chima. Which lie am I going to use and cover this one up?” Linda asked herself.
