THR EVIL BRIDESMAID
CHAPTER NINE
On the day of her wedding they plan to deal with her. They Poisoned Quincy and then framed her Younger sister. Quincy had been so excited that day. Immediately after her wedding ceremony, she was invited by her friends they all said they wanted to gift her a very memorable gift. She reluctantly followed them because she didn’t want to leave her husband and just run off.
When they arrived her room, they had Poison her drink. They pretended to be happy with her and proposed a toast with the drinks they had already poured in their glasses. They poison had to take at least 30 minutes before reacting. She started feeling a little bit tired and so they told her to seat down and rest for a while. They left her room then Lisa was in charge of framing her younger sister. She went ahead and approached her, slipped in the bottle of Poison they had used in her sister’s pocket and then informed her that her sister was calling for her in the room. When she arrived, her sister’s condition had become worst. She was now battling for life and battling with her sheets as well. The rest became history. No matter how Quincy’s younger sister tried to prove her innocence, no one believed her. She was sentence life in prison and later died due to an infected wound.
When Miranda finished telling her Story, everyone was so shocked that she could carried out such. Her would be Husband who had been seating next to her Got up and left without saying a word. You could see from his facial expression that all was not well.
“Miranda!!! How could you be so heartless? Look at what you got your friends into. Today where are they? Six feet and who knows you might be joining them too soon.” I said getting up to leave when she suddenly fell on her knees and held my legs.
“No!! no!! no!! please I don’t want to die, please help me. I don’t want to die Trish. I know what I did was wrong but I have completely changed now.” She said crying
“Did Quincy have any other family member?” Willy asked.
“Her mum, and little nephew. Her younger sister had a little son by that time. I later heard that her mum took him and they left town the day Quincy’s younger sister died.”
“Miranda, look at what you did to a poor widow and his grandchild. Not only did you take away this woman’s joy, but you took away a mother from her child. How could you?”
“I am so sorry!!!” her crying intensified.
“I am sorry I can’t stand this, willy rushed out in anger while I followed.
We were seated in my apartment on the balcony upstairs when I heard noise outside. Miranda was trying to beg Mr Bichong to not throw her out of his house, but he just gave her deaf ears. I rushed down to try and beg him but to no avail.
I couldn’t leave this girl alone least she committed suicide. Willy and I decided we will let her stay with us for the mean time till we get to the bottom of this.
We went on search for Quincy’s mother and we finally found her village. When we arrived there, we were told that she passed away two years back. They showed us her grave just beside her house. We also asked about her grandchild, but was told he left home since seven years ago and had never come back.
No one had anything good to say about him but that he was a wayward child and often caused the old woman so much pain. That one day he got into trouble with the police fled and never returned again.
A certain woman who claims to have been closed to Quincy’s mum, told us that she laid a cursed on the people that Poisoned her Quincy and frame her other daughter, before dying.
With this findings, we headed back home not sure of what we were going to do.
When we arrived home, I was seated on my couch when I heard a know on the door.
“ who’s there?”
“Aunty it’s me Derrick.”said David with a little small voice.
I opened the door and ushered him in. He smiled at me and hugged me. He said he had come to inform me that he will be going back to school tomorrow. I promised to bring along his food I had promised him.
When I went to Linda’s house in the evening, I met a man leaving Linda’s house. I simply ignored it and went in. He looked more like a pastor as indicated by the Bible He held in his arms.
I gave some money to Derrick and some things I got him. His mum who was now present, engaged me into a conversation about Miranda. I found myself telling her everything.
At the end of our discussion, she proposed that we go see her pastor.
