AKOR’S POV
I went into my room laughing to myself because I know peter will not kill himself…someone that a girl is feeding and taking care of will kill himself? I doubt it! But I was a bit scared and praying peter doesn’t kill himself, I woke up the next day and saw peter sitting in front of his room… immediately he saw me he started insulting me… the following conversation ensued.
Peter: son of jezebel good morning
Me: am I seeing a ghost or what, this must be a ghost, I went and fetch sand in my hand and threw at him but he didn’t disappear… I told him that I was surprise to see that he’s still alive… why are you still alive? Was the rope not strong enough?
Peter: my God will punish you Akor, I told you my predicament yesterday and out of pain I told you I needed a rope to kill myself and you gladly gave me a rope? Wonder shall never end…
Me: I was trying to be a brother’s keeper, who am I not to grant you your final wish? That’s by the way… nice to see you alive my dear friend
Peter: you still have mouth to talk abi? Akor how can you be this heartless?
Me: calm down bros, so tell… what made you to change your mind?
Peter: Well, I really meant it when I said I want to kill myself, the problem is that the spirit was willing but the body was weak… and dying by hanging looks so painful.
Me: shattap, close that mouth peter, I know very well you will not kill yourself…imagine you that a lady is paying your bills…
Peter: Akor don’t insult me…
Me: thank God you are still alive… aren’t you going to work today?
Peter: which work? I have given myself 1week off…
Akor:okay ooo, let me quickly go and prepare for office…
Peter: okay, see you later…..
I left the house for work… I picked few passengers and at about 10am I decided to visit mama odashi’s place for breakfast…
Akor the great, mama odashi said when she saw me coming… I haven’t seen you for a while, hope all is well she said…
“I am fine I said, please give me porridge beans and plantain…”
She left and began to ask myself why she likes taking my orders herself while her girls takes the orders of other customers? I snapped out of my thoughts when I had a voice behind me… guess who? Betty…
Good morning she said smiling, I was surprise to see her smiling after everything I did to her the last time…
“How are you doing I said”…
I am fine and you?
“I am fine I said”
Betty I am really… before I could finish my statement “she interrupted and started apologising that shes sorry for failing the test at my house, that she was supposed to stay back and know what actually was the problem but she left instead of helping out… she even said she knows I am about to say I am really disappointed at her behaviour but I should please find a place in my heart to forgive her and I should give her a chance to make it up to me”…at this point my food has already been served and she quickly said I shouldn’t make or buy dinner that she will be bringing me dinner… I was shock hearing all this but I kept my cool and told her okay… and she said she will be coming to my place at 6pm…
She left and I was asking myself what just happened? This girl I having been thinking of calling to apologise is the one that came apologising? But why is she always buying food? Is it that she can’t cook? What she’s bringing for me better be sweet…
I finished eating and went back to my office…
At about 5:30pm, I went home to prepare myself before betty arrives…
She finally came at 6:15pm
Welcome I said, hope you are fine…
“I am fine she said and she gave me the cooler of food, she asked for the direction to my kitchen… I showed her and she entered and brought a plate and spoon… she dished the food and handed it over to me, this is delicious, are you the one that made it? I asked, yes she said… thanks so much for this treat Betty…”
“I won’t be staying long, I have an assignment to submit tomorrow she said…”
I quickly finished my food and went closer to her and started caressing her, she didn’t refuse my advances, I kissed her but her lips taste like a rotten meat… I immediately stopped kissing her to check who I was kissing but discovered….

Betty was the one I saw when I checked, I decided to try again but it was worse… I acted cool and told her how lucky I am to have a girl like her but I will have to take her back to school since she said she has an assignment to submit the next day….
“She said okay and gave me a peck on my chick”
BETTY’S POV
What a day, I said excitedly while walking back to my hostel… I am in love! I said out loud and quickly checked to make sure nobody was listening to me. I hurried to my hostel to give Anna the news..
Why are you this excited? Anna asked
Sweety, I’ve just secured the man of my dream…
What are you talking about? She Asked
Me: you left this hostel yesterday and told me you were coming back but I didn’t see you, how then do you expect to know what I am talking about?
Anna: abeg, talk to me… what’s the excitement for?
Me: I ran into Akor at that restaurant we first met, and I apologized for what happened the last time and offered to make it up to him of which he obliged…
Anna: wait, what kind of offer did you make?
Me: don’t be fast na, I am not done…
Anna: sorry ooooo, oya, continue
Me: I told him I was going to make him dinner but the bought food and told him I made it…I stayed with him for sometime and told him I have an assignment to submit tomorrow and will be leaving any moment…
He quickly finished his food and he kissed me deeply, I was feeling him and didn’t want him to stop but he stopped at a point and told me he can’t keep me any longer since I have an assignment to submit tomorrow…
Anna: whoa! That’s so romantic, you see what I told you? just thank your God you didn’t miss this opportunity
Me: I thank God and also thank my beautiful roommate as well… thank you so much Anna…
Anna: you’re welcome…
AKOR’S POV
Immediately I dropped her off, I started spitting like a pregnant woman, not because I was perceiving something but because I was thinking about the taste of betty’s lips… when I got home I hurried to the bathroom to brushed my teeth… after brushing my teeth. I went straight to peter’s room to narrate my experience…
“Guy, you have started again right?” Peter said
‘I am telling you what happen to me and you are doubting me?’
“I told you already that ghost does not exist… see ehm, I am not in the mood for this your ghost thing…I have a football match to watch at the view centre right now, you can join me if you want peter said… I quickly said yes because I was scared and would like to be distracted…”
We came back home at about 12am… I was so tired and sleepy… I went straight to my room and dosed off… what woke me up was a very loud bang on my door, i stood up and check the time and it was exactly 3am… I went close to the door and asked who’s there but didn’t get any reply… I went back to bed and was about sleeping off when I had another bang on my door.
“I didn’t stand up this time around because I was convinced it was peter banging my door trying to scare me again…”
I snapped out of that thoughts when I started hearing footsteps approaching me but didn’t see anybody, when it was getting closer to me I flashed my phone light and saw a female shoe walking towards me with nobody wearing it…
