Felix asked breaking the silence. It’s me Leonard said pushing the door open and walking in. Felix stood up walked up to Leonard and hugged him. Longest time no see man, now you’ve already met my wife you’ve been yearning to see.
Babe this is my cousin I was telling you about, and Leonard my wife Anita.
I knew you always had eyes for beautiful things Leonard said laughing with Felix.
Babe, let me take Leonard to his room okay? You can go ahead and serve us that your delicious delicacy. We will be coming out shortly.
Few minutes later, they were on the dinning table feasting on the food Anita cooked.
Ohhh I have missed your food, this is so delicious Leonard said.
What do you mean by you have missed her food Felix inquired? She has cooked for you before?
Or you dreamt about her cooking for you Felix asked laughing hysterically.
No , no it was the sweetness of the food that got into my head Leonard said laughing, I have missed food cooked here in Nigeria. I thought Cameroon as an African country will share the same food with us Nigerians. But when I got there I found out different combinations.
But why will you think that Felix asked? Even we here in Nigeria all tribes have their different dishes.
Felix now looking at his wife. Why are you not eating Honey?
I ate already when I finished cooking, so I’m not that hungry Anita answered . She waited till they were done and she cleared the table. After the catch-up Leonard retired to the room he was given.
At night Anita couldn’t sleep.
So was so scared …

Leonard lied to her, he told her he was going overseas and will call her immediately he lands.
She promised him she will wait for him!!!

Anita wished the hands of the clock will run so fast and Leonard will go off from her life.
It was morning already , Felix knocked on the door of Leonard’s room. Leonard came out, Felix told him he was going to work and will be coming back later in the evening. He would have asked him to come with him. But since he just came back he can go ahead and rest.
Felix stretched his hand out and shook Leonard and left .
“Baby”
I’m going out he called out to his wife. She came walking in and he k**sed her before leaving for work.
An hour later Anita couldn’t hold it back any longer, she walked up to Leonard’s room and knocked on his door. Leonard opened the door and she landed a hot slap on his face!!
What are you doing here?
What was that you did to me?
Why did you lie to me?

With tears dropping from her cheeks.

I didn’t mean any of these to happen, I never knew you’re married to my cousin Leonard said holding his cheek.
I’m so sorry I lied to you, I can explain he added.
Looking at Anita who was still fuming with anger. I don’t need any of your explanations Anita said.
I want you to just leave my life she said walking out on Leonard who ran after her trying to grab her hand..
