Good morning ma…Sandra greeted her uncle’s wife who looked at her and sighed trying to adjust her wrapper
Good morning ma.. Sandra greeted again
What is good about the morning? Clara shouted at her
Sandra dropped the broom she was holding and faced her “If I ever open this mouth of mine to greet you again let God shut it” Sandra said, picked up her broom and continued sweeping
“How dare you talk to me like that?” Clara shouted slapping her
Sandra screamed and her mum rushed out “O gini Sandra?” Her mum asked holding her
Auntie Clara slapped me, she slapped me twice I can’t see clearly again.. Sandra cried rubbing her cheeks
Clara you laid your filthy hands on my daughter,on my precious daughter,tell me have you gone nuts or what? Sandra’s mum bellowed and pounced on Clara
Sandra whipped Clara with the broom, she was still whipping her when Clara’s daughter jumped on her
Sandra was badly injured, she sustained so many injuries on her face and neck
Clara was also injured, her face was filled with bruises her body beared so many marks

Clara didn’t respond, she dragged her daughter and went inside their room

I’ll personally deal with Mary, she doesn’t know me.. Clara bragged
Her daughter gave her a scornful stare and continued cleaning her face
You’re just troublesome mum.. she said and shifted the bucket aside
Where is your father? Clara asked
I don’t know mum.. She replied and left the room
“Mary you’re too small for me to handle I’ll definitely leave you to continue misbehaving until the day it becomes unbearable for me I’ll show you why I am called Nwanyi Benin (Benin Woman)..Clara said to herself
Mum stop fighting with auntie Clara she’s not a good person ooo.. Sandra warned her mum who was busy selecting beans
Gather the firewood together pack them inside the kitchen..Mary instructed paying deaf ears to what her daughter was saying
Sandra did as she was told, she sat beside her mum and continued from where she stopped
Madam go away with your sermon please… Her mum said
Sandra stared at her stubborn mother and left the corridor, she took her bath dressed up and was about leaving when her mum called her
Mum I’m running late.. she said checking the time
Please buy bread while coming back… Her mum said
Mum I’m not buying anything until you listen to me,look! You still have four children to raise and you’re busy fighting with someone who has only two children, when daddy comes back first let me talk to him because your stubbornness is stubborn.. Sandra shouted at the top of her voice and left
Mary Continued selecting her beans and humming a song, she watched her daughter leave the compound furious and felt like attacking anyone who talks to her
She was on her way out when Clara’s daughter Khloe called her begging her to wait for her
Please I’m running late.. Sandra replied and walked faster
Khloe shook her head and ran after her
“Please I’m sorry for what happened this morning,I promise it won’t repeat itself again” Khloe pleaded
It’s fine Khloe but we really need to talk to our parents about this nonsense and your mum doesn’t posses a good attitude, your mum slapped me this morning and you did this to me, it’s fine Khloe.. Sandra responded
Sandra was about to turn when a white Mercedes Benz pulled up in front of them
Please where is the road that leads to Agbaji street? The guy at the back seat asked
Sandra stared at him with awe, she gave him the direction while Khloe stood under a shade and waited for Sandra
“Can I get your number?” He asked
Sure! Sandra replied, she collected the phone and admired it she didn’t waste time to save her number and returned back the phone to him
Do you live around? He asked
Yes.. she replied and went to meet Khloe who has been giving her signs
