I was still pondering over Ruth’s advice to me when Chimaobi reached my house.
He picked up some of my clothes and held me, thanking Ruth for coming around to stay with me.
When we got downstairs, he had my clothes at the back seat and I sat at the front.
He requested Ruth to join us, so he could take her home.
On getting to Ruth’s lodge, she alighted and whispered to me before leaving.
โWhen is your ovulation coming?โ
โThis week.โ I whispered
โTry to do that this week.โ She said and bade the both of us goodbye.
When we got to the house, I kept on thinking on what to do. I was so worried and scared.
โIs this the right thing to do?โ I asked myself.
Chimaobi had gone to prepare noodles for us to eat when Linda’s message dropped on WhatsApp.
โYou have refused to pick my calls. You’ve been ignoring me, and it’s not fair at all. I do really want to just be a friend.โ She typed to me and I immediately blocked her line.
โI have really tried to reach out to your Dad, but he seems strict and firm in his decision.โ
โBae, don’t worry about my Dad, he will be fine.โ I reassured him.
โYou seem different today. You were crying some hours ago and here are you so sure about everything. What are you up to?โ
โNothing at all. I am just having faith.โ
โI love your faith. Nothing, absolutely nothing, will separate us.โ He said as he fed me with the noodlesโฆ
Two days later, I had gone to Eke Awka to select a very terrible outfit I usually refer to as kill and die. I was ready for all the suggestions Ruth gave me.
The only fear I had was, Chimaobi Literally counts my cycle with me, in fact, he counts my cycle better, I honestly made mistakes sometimes.
Chimaobi was meticulous, he would count my cycle and never go intimate with me during ovulation.
So, I was left with the assignment to convince him into getting intimate with me during that my ovulation period. Hence, I went to get my kill and die outfit.
It was a red bra and pant overall.
He had never seen me in that.
Thankfully, he had gone out with friends and intended returning late.
I cooked his best meal, Oha, surprised? He taught me how to cook it.
I served it in the room and covered myself with nighties.
Returning, I had him take his bath and eat.
He was quite impressed and happy.
After he had eaten, I started kissing him, he grabbed my waist and cupped my face.
โYou seem too sweet like a bride today?โ
โShhhโฆ just go with the flowโ I said, and I could feel the love with just the soft touch of my lips and the way he caressed my waist.
I cupped his face, then felt his chest. We both let out a long satisfied sigh.
He looked at me with love in his arms and touched me longingly.
I started to take off his shirt, his hands still on my waist; caressing, memorizing every feeling.
Then my nighties was off, he saw my bare body. He smiled and started kissing my neck.
โI so much love this.โ Excitedโฆ
I bit my lip and kissed him harder until his back went down on the bed.
โLet me be in control todayโ I said.
He kissed my lips, I kissed him back. He started taking off the overall, and you undress me.
There we began to make love, but not quite long into the act, he jolted.
โYou saw your period last two weeks, right? He asked.
โCan you not cut this flow and stick on the bed?โ
โBae, wait.โ He picked his phone.
โWhat are you doing?”
โChecking the calendar.โ
โWhat is wrong with you? How can you be this insensitive to cut the good moment we are having?โ
โBae, calm down, I am just trying to make sure you are ovulating this week. That’s it! See, it’s your window time. We should not do this now.โ He said.
โWhat is wrong with you?โ I threw the pillow, very mad at his sharp instinct.
โBae, but we’ve always do not meet during your window time. It’s not new, why are you so pissed with this in particular?โ He tried to hold me, but I hit his hands.
โOkay fine, I understand you need me now, let me go down to the pharmaceutical shop and get some protection.โ
โNo! Do you want to cut me out from the mood? Going to the shop is too much time.โ
โWhat do you want then? You know I hate seeing you this way.โ
โLet us go on.โ
โNo, Tolani.โ He backed off.
โI will take pills after.โ
โNo, we have never used pills. I hate it.โ
โBae, this would be my first and last time. In fact, we would get the pills together.โ I begged him, using my woman strength to get into his head.
I sat on his laps again, and touched his temple.
โLet’s just do itโ I said, and he failed yakatata for me.
