“What are you talking about?” Lora asked.
“I can’t do this anymore. I’m not the right person to do this job so I quit,” I said without bothering to think it twice.
“What do you mean by that?” she asked.
“What other explanation do you want? I said I’m not doing the job anymore!” I said in a pissed tone.
“You must be joking,” she said.
I raised my brows, “I must be joking?”
“Yes Desire. If you are not joking then you would have started by telling me what happened.”
I heaved, “What else do you think happened Lora, the man is strongly faithful to his wife. I tried to give him a sign and it didn’t go well. It’s over seriously. I’m returning to Lagos tomorrow morning.”
“Were you expecting it to go well at first trial? Ofcourse it won’t Desire, but that shouldn’t make you quit. Or do you think a job of five million naira in Nigeria will be an easy one? Try harder babe and stop being an idiot.”
I furrowed my brows, “An idiot? Is that an insult?”
“No be pr£ek the man get? Men will always be men no matter how faithful he is to whoever he is faithful to. Madam be a woman and use your woman power. If the lady knew that her husband is strongly faithful to her, she wouldn’t pay you to sleep with him,” she said.
I sighed.
“Remember you promised Tana to deliver this job. No fall my hand o. Try harder. You are beautiful, endowed and intelligent na. Use your beauty and intelligence on this and see yourself succeed. This is just the second day and you are giving up already. Haba na. You still have five days left. Abeg try harder.”
“Lora you don’t seem to understand. He thr£atened to arrest me if I come close to him again,” I said.
“What!? What exactly happened?”
I told her exactly what happened. From when I asked to buy him a drink at the hotel’s bar to me knocking at his door after the hotel worker returned the handcream and l!ngerie which ended with insults and a thr£at from him.
“…tell me Lora, if you were in my shoes, would you go on with this job after recieving such insult and thr£at?” I asked her after I was done.
“Hmm.. this is serious. You made a mistake with the l!ngerie. I told you to be careful because he’s a disciplined man and faithful to his wife. You should have told me your plan first before executing it.”
“You never told me–”
“I did Desire. I told you that he’s disciplined and faithful to his wife,” she cut in.
“No.. not that. I mean you didn’t tell me to tell you my plans first,” I said.
“Yeah.. that’s okay. The mistake has been done. You would need to tell me your plans from now on,” she said.
I raised my brows in shock, “Lora are you seriously telling me to stay back here when I could get arrested?”
“Desire he won’t arrest you. Remember you left your job because of this job. You need this five million naira if not, you’ll come back here and start looking for job which you know is not easy. Job sef no dey. Come on babe.”
I sighed, “Lora. This man didn’t sound like someone who wouldn’t do his thr£at.”
“He won’t. What you need this time is the perfect plan that will work, and I’ll help you with that and I’ll continue to, but nothing is for free so, my own reward when you get paid is 1m…”
I gasped, “One million? Ah haba Lora.”
“But because we’re friends, I’ll leave it at 500k” she said.
The money for my mom’s business and my traveling. How can I cut 500k out of it?
“Lora nah..”
“Do you need my help or not?”
“I do but–”
“500k or forget about my help,” she cut in.
I sighed. “Okay.. fine.”
I need her help. I don’t think I can do this alone anymore.

“What did you just say?” My friend and business partner, Okey asked, his eyes staring shocking at me.
“You think that could never be possible?” I asked him.
He chuckled, “Yes, it’s not possible. How can you say your wife, Tana sent a lady to sleep with you?”
“She’s been cheating on me and needs an evidence to divorce me and move in with him,” I said and sipped from my glass of zero alcoholic wine.
He gasped, “Oh my God..How did you know this?”
I chuckled, “I knew she was cheating on me months ago. Read her message one night while she was in the bathroom. I didn’t confront her but decided to put a spy on her and got all the informations I needed about him.”
“And what did you do?” he asked curiously.
“Nothing,” I said and sipped my wine.
“What? Eric.. you caught your wife cheating on you and you did nothing!?” He sounded shocked.
“Unknowningly to her, I put recording tapes on her cars and I know every of her movement. That is how I found out about her plan. Tana sent a lady to seduce me into sleeping with her for an evidence that she will use to divorce me. As I’m talking to you now, the lady is four rooms away from mine in mayron Hotel and she’s been trying to deliver her job of s£ducing me into sleeping with her.”
Okey’s lips went agape in utmost shock.
“Why… why would your wife go to this extent!” he asked.
I shrugged, “Because she knows she can’t file for a divorce just like that since she got nothing on me. I’ve been the best husband since the very day we got married.”
“Ahh women! I fear who no fear women!” he exclaimed.
“Six years of marriage and Tana chose to end it this way,” I said and sipped my wine.
“My friend, are you just going to sit here and do nothing? what are you going to do?” Okey asked.
“Ofcourse not. I’m going to sleep with the girl just like she want,” I said.
Okey’s eyes went wide open, ” Guy, are you !nsane? Instead of you to confront your wife and end her m@dness, you want to fuel her m@dness. Your wife has been cheating on you for months and you’ve done nothing. What is wrong with you!”
“She want a divorce. Sure.. she’s going to get it, but not in the way she wanted,” I said.
“But you just said you are going to sleep with the girl she sent to s£duce you.”
“Yes”
“No Eric you shouldn’t.”
“Don’t worry Okey. I know what I’m doing,” I said and sipped my wine.
Sure. I know what I’m doing.

He wrapped his firm hands around my waist, brought his face closer and covered my lips with his and I kissed back. I didn’t want him to let go but he did. He withdrew his lips, looked me in the eyes and asked,
“My love, when are you going to be just mine?”
I smiled, “Soonest baby, soonest.”
“When will this soonest be. I’ve been hearing it for months,” he said.
“Well I have goodnews. In two weeks, I’m going to file for a divorce.”
A smile appeared on his face and he withdrew his head, “Are you serious?”
I nodded, “Yes honey. It’s finally going to happen and once I file a divorce… just give me two months, our relationship won’t won’t a secret anymore.”
“But my love.. What is going to be your reason for the divorce You said he’s never hit you or cheated on you?” he asked.
I placed my hands on his broad chest and said, “Don’t worry baby. I have everything under control. All you have to do is start preparing to have me all to yourself.”
“I can’t wait beautiful,” he said and locked his lips with mine again, and we began kissing passionately.
The evidence is all I need to divorce him and once I get it from the girl, both she and Lora has to be silenced forever.
No one that knows that I’m the mastermind would be alive.
