Sister Kamara

Episode 11
Your room is nice, I complimented for courtesy sake.
Thanks dear sis, Oluchi smiled waving me to an empty bed to relax for the night, while she had a little “after service prayer” before dressing into a more casual wear.
I cooked spaghetti for dinner, hope you don’t mind having it for dinner? Sister Oluchi asked as she made to light the stove.
I smiled bitterly.
Does a beggar have a choice? I’m even lucky I met food, because I would have slept with an empty stomach if I had gone to my room.
How do you mean sister Kamara, don’t you have foodstuffs?
I smiled even more bitterly.
I ran out of foodstuffs a long time ago, God has just being seeing me through. I also thank God for some of the brethren in the church, if not I wonder what a fatherless child like me would have done to survive.
My face met hers, her forehead tightened in sympathy.
You know Kamara, you can always come around and take something to cook or eat, she said with a drooped shoulder.
You’re so kind Oluchi, I said with a broken voice while cleaning off some imaginary tears. She came close and gave me a hug.
Please cheer up, what are we brethren for?
Can I call you big sis? I asked.
She smiled, letting me off her embrace.
Of course, now let’s eat.
After eating, I spent time telling her stories – from one topic to another till she slept without having time to pray and by morning, I was gone before she’d wake up. I made sure to arrange the bed space she gave me and left her a note saying – “Thank you for accommodating me last night, I have morning lecture, so had to leave but didn’t want to interrupt your beautiful sleep.”

I will be going back to my base tomorrow, sis Felicia said winking at me.
Seriously? I said tickling her playfully. You are too rugged o. So even before your mission time elapsed you don already knock the bro down. We laughed so hard.
Ah Kamara! That brother is very emotional. In fact, this is the simplest mission I’ve ever embarked on, Felicia said hissing.
Tell me na, how did you do it? I said tickling her again. We laughed so hard.
That one, Felicia said with a disdain look. The first night class we had together, he started the teaching with prayer o.
I laughed hysterically. Spiricoco brother.
As in ehh, yet just that my finger brushed against his while I tried to adjust my book, his emotions became very weak and bare to attack.
Nawa o, but I wonder why these brothers are emotionally fragile like this ni?
Most of them are from a very strict Christian home, where they are so caged and never exposed to things they should even known about self ni.
Do you know that …, sister Felicia paused and started coughing playfully.
Don’t joke with me o, talk jorh, I pleaded getting impatient.
I had a s*x chat with him last night, Felicia whispered as if we ain’t alone in the room.
Oh mother superior! I covered my mouth with my palm. Babe you are bad o. Na so you drag our bro reach?
Can I see the chat?
Sure but that bro bad pass me o.

Episode 12
Seems like you’re going out big sis, I asked sis Oluchi pausing the movie I was seeing.
Yes, I’m going to our mother church.
But today is Sunday ni. Oh, I muttered smiling suspiciously.
What’s that look for?
Big sis what are you going to mother church to do ni?
Not something I should bother you with sweetie, she winked and continued with her dressing.
You’re going for your courtship session with bro Paul, I blurted out.
Who told you that? She asked with a hard stare.
I’m sorry big sis, I didn’t mean to get you upset. She smiled, relaxing her forehead.
I’m not upset Kamara, but who told you?
I saw you guys the day I went to mother church to fast and pray, that was last month, I lied. So you don’t want people to know about it? I asked looking surprised.
Not really, I just didn’t want people to know yet. You know how this kind of topic can be among campus student, they will just turn it to a topic to gossip about especially among the sisters.
Oh, now I understand, I said nodding in affirmation.
But I’m amazed by your conduct Kamara, even though you knew since, yet it has not started flying around the fellowship, that shows you aren’t a gossip, I’m impressed.
Ah! How can I discuss such intimate thing with another person and what’s my business self, I said trying to look blank.
This makes me trust you even more little sis. So I’m leaving, are you sure you can stay alone with my roommates? She asked sitting back on the bed.
Yeah, sure. So you’re leaving now, like this?
Yeah, any problem?
You didn’t powder your face ni? It’s too oily.
My dear ehh, I ran out of powder, but is it that bad?
Yeah, it looks dull. Don’t worry, I have my powder with me, hope you don’t mind using it?
Of course not.
Perfect opportunity! I thought. I said some strange words before handing it over to her.
See you in the evening dear, remember to take food when you get hungry.
Thanks big sis, I said smiling mischievously.
