“Sade, you’re pregnant.” The woman announced.
Her whole world crumbled. Pregnant in her final year? And for who? How will her parents accept that news especially if she decides not to terminate the baby.
Many thoughts ran through her mind.
Her sister kept on looking at her as if she was a piece of rag.
Well, that wasn’t the first time she got pregnant for a guy. She had aborted pregnancies more than 5 times for Lanre.
“Dear, if you abort this pregnancy, you may lose your life.” The nurse interrupted her thought.
She just couldn’t fathom how the nurse could read her minds accurately.
The last abortion she had almost ruined her womb and life entirely and that was why she didn’t want to share her man with anyone. Due to the fact that she had sacrificed a lot for Lanre, she felt Lanre would appreciate her the more. Rather, he left her, making her to feel cheated.
“Lord, I repented of my sins. I wasn’t expecting to be pregnant again due to my repentance. God, you shouldn’t have allowed the unprotected s*x I had with Lanre turn into pregnancy. Now, Lanre has left me. How on earth will I raise a child alone without the father?” She cried out.
In her spirit, she heard “There are always consequences for sins , although there is mercy for every sinners. You can not expect a lady who has lived her live aborting pregnancies which led to the damage of her womb to suddenly give birth after repentance when she is married. It only takes grace and mercy for such a lady to conceive again, but her sins will be forgiven if she repents. Keep the baby, my daughter.”
Adura’s phone buzzed. It was Timothy. She told Sade about her date with Timothy. Instantly, she smelt danger ahead of her sister.
After administering few medications to Sade, she took a nap. Adura couldn’t leave her till she was fine.
That day, Timothy waited till eternity for the arrival of his girlfriend, but she wasn’t present at all. He was infuriated. He felt deceived. His eyes were as scary as a lion,he was ready to devour anyone that crossed his path. People saw him and took to their heels.
The following morning, they fixed another date not until Adura begged him for forgiveness as if there was going to be no tomorrow, for being absent. Although, Timothy needed Adura badly.
“Where are you guys meeting?$ Sade asked as she tried sitting.
“Diamond hotel.” Adura replied, assisting her to sit.
“All right. I have something to do around that side. When you are going there let me know so that I can follow you.” She said.
Adura wasn’t pleased with what her sister said due to the fact that she was just recovering and also because she felt her sister was up to another thing.
Timothy sent the description and everything she needed to get to the venue to her.
The scheduled time was 2pm ,but the two ladies got to the hotel around 1pm.
As they were about to get to the venue, Sade changed her mind. She decided to help her sister in locating the place with ease before going to the place she told her sister earlier on. Although, she had no where in mind.
Luckily enough, they got the room with ease.
As they were about to knock at the door, two voices of men were heard.
Curiosity grew up from their hearts.
“Who could the second person be?”They asked silently.
Just as she was about to knock, she heard “Aduragbemi…”
She became very terrified. They stood there, with their ears stretched out to get every bit of information being discussed inside.
“Deji, my girlfriend will soon be around. It’s not as of I love that girl. I just want to feel my body on her withered body. I want to know if ladies with disabilities can function well on bed. I want to feel her. I just want to taste her to know whether she is bitter or sweet. It’s not as if I want to marry her at all. And also, I hope you’ve not forgotten about what Baba said. I believe she is a virgin,and a virgin is needed for the money rituals.” He said.
“Yes, you have a sharp brain. You are a correct guy. I have seen another lady too. I want to use her tonight. I can’t wait to be a millionaire.” The other guy said happily.
“Ritual? Me? To be used for the ritual?” Adura asked repeatedly as tears ran through her eyes down to her neck.
She felt betrayed.
Her sister couldn’t say much, because she knew Timothy wasn’t a man with good intentions towards her sister.
Without wasting much time, they left the place without seeing Timothy.
When it was 4pm, Timothy placed a call across to Adura, but found out she wasn’t picking up. He came down to their house.
He was so desperate to sleep with Adura.
On getting to her house, he didn’t meet anyone.
He became confused.The deadline given to him to renew the covenant he had with an herbalist in order to be wealthy was fast approaching.
He was almost running mad. Meanwhile, he just couldn’t pick anyone just like that because he strongly believed Adura was his scape goat. Meanwhile, a virgin was needed for the sacrifice. Knowing whether a lady is a virgin or not and dating her wasn’t something too easy. But he believed Adura was a virgin.
He believed with everything he had in him that Aduragbemi was a lady desperate for man’s love. He believed Adura was desperately looking for a man that will marry her.
Of a truth, she was desperate. She believed no one would settle for a woman like her.
But that day, immediately they left the hotel, they went for a program in church. Before they could get back home, it was dark. Timothy waited for her but couldn’t wait for so long.
He went out and found a lady who was desperate for a man (a prostitute). She was so dressed seductively to the extent that Timothy forgot his name and all that was on his head was how he would taste the lady standing before him.
Within few minutes,they entered the hotel and enjoyed themselves to the fullest, forgetting the warning given to him.
He began to misbehave after 10 minutes.
Yes, he had slept with a prostitute who wasn’t a virgin.
The following day, they heard about Timothy’s death.
Adura couldn’t stop thanking God for the eleventh hour victory she had.
She couldn’t thank her sister enough.
She dedicated her life to God afreash and was prepared for the worst.
The worst that could ever happen to her was remaining single forever.
She was determined to remain single rather than being desperate for men who doesn’t deserve her.
She began a foundation, reaching out to ladies with disabilities. Her story transformed hundreds of ladies who were disabled.
Her sister gave birth to a bouncing baby boy after nine month. Although, her parents rejected her at first, but later on, they embraced her.
When the child was one, something happened. What happened?
