REGRETFUL
EPISODE 3
Isabella was devastated by her sister’s response. She had never intended to hurt Isabel, but only wanted to protect her from Dave’s sinister intentions.
Meanwhile, Dave brought his family to see Isabel’s parents for an introduction ceremony. During the ceremony, Dave’s behavior became increasingly suspicious. He answered a call close to Isabella’s window and informed the person on the other end to se!l the three new girls.
Isabella listened to the conversation and heard other !llega! things Dave was saying over the phone. She became even more suspicious of his activities.
Dave then disappeared in the middle of the introduction ceremony, claiming he had urgent work to attend to. However, Isabella suspected otherwise.
She decided to follow Dave to a secluded location, where she discovered the shocking truth. Dave was involved in a human traff!ck!ng ring, expl0iting young women for his own gain.
Isabella felt a chill run down her spine as she realized the danger her sister was in. She knew she had to act fast to save Isabel from Dave’s clutches.
Isabella video-recorded the evidence she found, hoping it would be enough to convince her family of Dave’s true nature.
Just as she was about to leave, her phone rang, alerting Dave and his men to her presence. Dave ordered them to find the person whose phone had rang, and Isabella knew she had to escape quickly.
She ran as fast as she could, dropping her phone in the process. She managed to pick it up and continued running, finally escaping with her life.
When she got home, she was surprised to see Dave already back to the introduction ceremony, having returned before her to the introduction ceremony.
Isabella applied wisdom and waited for the introduction ceremony to finish. Dave and his f@ke parents collected a marriage date before leaving.
Immediately they left, Isabella told her parents and Isabel that Dave was into human
traff!ck!ng. However, before she could explain further, Mr. Okafor gave her a hot sl@p.
“You this girl, I have told you to mind your business and stop being jealous of your sister!” he shouted.
Isabella cried out, “Dad, I’m telling the truth! Dave is involved in human traff!ck!ng!”
But her father refused to listen. “Isabella, please stop all this and let your sister be happy,” Mrs. Okafor chimed in.
Isabella brought out her phone to show them the evidence, but it was blank. “Dad, I don’t know what’s wrong with my phone. I have the evidence here,” she explained.
Mr. Okafor took the phone from Isabella and smashed it on the floor, using his legs to destroy it further. Isabella was left crying, feeling helpless and defeated.
“You can investigate Dave, but you couldn’t use that knowledge to get a good job or graduate with good grades,” Mr. Okafor scolded.
“Dad, I might not be brilliant like my sister, but that doesn’t mean I’m dull. You forced me to study nursing, but I have no passion for it. That’s why I graduated poorly. I can do well in other fields,” Isabella explained.
“Please, Dad, don’t allow Isabel to marry Dave. I’m your daughter; you can at least trust me,” she pleaded.
But Mr. Okafor refused to listen. “I can’t trust you. I pay your school fees, and you have no right tell me the course you should study.
It’s my right to choose the course you should study
Henceforth, go look for work; you can’t continue being a par@site to me.”
Isabel, still unaware of Dave’s true nature, cried out, “Dad, Mom, please tell Isabella to stay away from Dave and me. We are getting married soon, and I don’t know why she is jealous of me.”
