Susan barged into Jide’s Office with her test result and threw it at his face.
Jide you are worst than the dévil! All this while Jide you are HIV positive and you were making love to me unprotected. How could you do this to me? How could you Jide? You have ruined my life.
Young Lady, you are shouting! Lower your voice let me understand what you are trying to say. Jide pretended as if he didn’t know what she was talking about.
Me, young lady? I will shout! Let everybody hear Jidenna their so-called CEO has HIV and he’s going about distributing it to people.
Susan was shouting at the top of her voice Jide rushed and closed her mouth with her hands.
What is your problem, Susan? Don’t you know this is an office and someone might be hearing you?
You want to understand what I’m saying huh? That’s my test result. I tested positive yesterday. Why didn’t you tell me on time? What if I didn’t go for the test? Jide I’m married what do you expect me to tell my husband? You are wicked and heartless. I promise you, you will not die well. Susan curses as she cries.
Enough of all this! Why are you talking as if I fall from the sky with it? Isn’t it someone that infected me with it? Have I killed the person? Look Susan I’m sorry okay…
You are sorry? Tell me, what can sorry do in this situation I’m into now? Can sorry take it away? Can sorry correct the mistake you’ve made? People say sorry when the power of sorry can amend what they did. Right now your sorry is utterly useless. Susan calmly said to Jide and left his office.
Some people in the office noticed how devastated Susan is and how teary her eye had been but none could summon the courage to walk up to her to know what went wrong.
Susan left the office for the hospital to commence antiretroviral treatment for HIV patients and she headed home with her drugs. Immediately her husband Ken heard the sound of her vehicle driving into the compound he went outside and opened her car door.
Baby, I don’t know what went wrong with you since yesterday. I’ve been here all through the day thinking if it is all about me but I could not figure out what I did wrong. The way you talked to me in the morning was uncalled for. You never talked to me in that scary manner ever since I met you but I’ve forgiven you. Please baby share what is bothering you with me nne’m. If it’s about me I will take the blames and make amends right away and if it’s because of my Idleness I promise you I will put more effort into getting any job before the end of the month. Ken pleaded for mercy for what he did not know of while Susan was not paying attention to his plea.
I’ve heard you. Susan responded and step down from the car.
Susan’s sudden hatred towards Ken becomes new every day. She insults Ken at any slightest opportunity. this time around she finds comfort in the visitor’s room. That she mostly spend the night there and she also hid her drugs in the visitor’s room and secretly started taking them as directed by the doctor.
The next day in the office Jide walked into Susan’s office and sat down.
Good day, Susy. Jide greeted but Susan acted like nobody came in.
Common, Susy you can’t continue like this. I’ve told you I’m sorry and I I’m. I came to know if you have gone for your antiretroviral because with that you are on the safer side. Susy, stop acting as if HIV is a deadly something. You are educated you should know it isn’t the worst infection and it will not also stop us from what we share.
Susan angrily spat on Ken for saying they shouldn’t stop what they share. You are evîl, shameléss and wickéd son of a bîtch. I will make sure I expose you because I see you are out to spread this infection to anyone you come in contact with. Who knows how many people you have infected?
Did you just spit on me, Susan? Thank your stars I still have a soft spot for you if not I would have kicked you out of this company this minute. Hahaha! You said you will expose me huh? Alright then go ahead let’s see who loose. I’m just looking at you that a married woman like you could stoop too low and have an affair with her boss. Married woman for that matter? Shame! Who knows how many of them you have slept with and still sleeping with? Married woman with hot pants. I pity Ken, a man like me. I will rather remain single till I die than have your type as a wife. Jide calmly fired back at Susan and jammed the door at his back.
Susan could not believe what she heard from Jide. Her hand started shaking and sweating uncontrollably and tears rolled down from her eyes heavenly. She stood and carried her things and went home.
You are back again early today what happened or is it because it’s Friday? Ken asked Susan in a concerned voice
Leave me alone! Just leave me alone Ken! How long will it take you to notice your presence irritates me? I hate seeing your face around me just stay away from me. Susan shouted at Ken.
Blossom who was inside her room heard her Mummy’s voice and quickly came out and stood at the corner to observe what is happening.
Susan, listen to me I’ve endured your nonsense in this house enough like a good husband will but if you continue insulting me here and then I will show you the stuff I made of. Those people who advise you wrongly because of the peanut you think you are bringing into this house, soon you will carry your bag and go and live with them because it’s obvious you are tired.
Oh! You now call it peanut? You are very ungrateful Ken. Do you know what I sacrifice to provide that peanut? I don’t blame you! A man that has no investments when he was a millionaire is that one still a man? Weak man!
Ken, bounced on her. He has already given her two loud slaps and had his hand on her neck before he heard Blossom crying and calling Daddy!!
Have you seen what you’ve caused? You are looking for who will kill but you won’t die on my hand. Ken angrily said and carried Blossom to the room.
