Once in Love episode 19

Once in Love

Episode Nineteen

“I’m glad this won’t be for long,” William hissed as he closed the door after holding it for her to enter.

Kemi was just smiling throughout until they got to the restaurant where they were supposed to sit out. William made sure it was not somewhere people would be able to identify him and say he is cheāting on his wife.

As they both stepped into the restaurant, Kemi said, “this is very beautiful, I never knew such a place existed,” she said, adjusting her skimpy dress, which became shorter as she stepped out of the car.

William just looked at her; he could not hold himself.

He said, “you know this dress is uncomfortable for you, why did you decide to wear it out of the house?” He asked in a very polite manner, and Kemi just smiled.

When she got to where the chairs were placed, she asked, “won’t you shift the chair for me to sit?

As a gentleman?” William just did as she wanted. He was not in for unnecessary drama, and if it weren’t for his family’s sake, he wouldn’t have been there shifting chairs for whoever she felt she was.

His plan was just to monitor her and also gain her trust so that he will find out where his daughter was.

As the waiter brought the menu, William ordered spaghetti, and Kemi had the opportunity to order everything she could find on the menu.

“Bring me rice, ice cream, yoghurt, oh I love this wine, what is it called? Bring it too,” according to her, she wanted to taste everything on the menu. William was not bothered, he took it as a price for trying to save his daughter.

When they were midway through eating, William started, “you know, I have always liked you, but I could not do anything with the wife’s friend at that time.

But now I’m telling you for free, to get prepared with the wedding plans and when I’m done signing the divorce papers so we can get married”, It was as if Kemi was dreaming; she had to sit for a minute to process whatever William was telling her.

“Oh my god William, you are serious about this,” she screamed after sitting for a while to process what she heard. “We need to celebrate this.

I need you to drink and get high, and I will do same if you want me to believe you, you should drink too,” she suggested.

William knew well that a little sip of liquor made him high.

He had to think of a way to avoid drinking, not knowing that Kemi also had a plan for him. She sat and observed him, needing him to be high before she could carry out her plans.

“Let’s just drink a bit to celebrate our wedding plans,” she said. Before William could say anything, she had already ordered the waiter to “bring something hot.”

The waiter brought the liquor on the menu. She didn’t even check the name, but she knew it was strong when she opened it and it had a strong scent.

She poured it into a glass and then said, “William, take the other glass and let’s toast to a new beginning.”

William gave a fake smile. He didn’t even know how to escape from drinking whatever was inside the glass, but he knew he had to drink it anyway to gain her trust.

“Cheers to a new beginning,” they both raised their glasses, toasting it in the air.

When they were done, Kemi was the first to drink from the cup. She did not care about getting drūnk as long as William would also be drūnk so she could go ahead with her plans.

“Drink up William, we are still celebrating,” she said, and he took a sip.

It was just a sip, and he started feeling dizzy already, but he could not stop. He had to impress her, and it was just what she wanted. “More sips,” she said.

It was getting dark, and William thought about how his wife would be waiting for him at home and how everyone would be worried because he had not even updated them about the whole thing.

He initially wanted to text his wife, but he forgot. When he picked up his phone to text his wife, Kemi took the phone from him and dropped it on the table.

“No phones for now, let’s enjoy this moment, just you and me; anything else can wait,” she said with a cranky smile. William, who was already high, just nodded, even though he did not really understand what she was saying; he just looked at her lips moving.

Her mission was almost complete when she realized he had become completely drūnk and could hardly talk without slūrring his words. She stopped drinking herself and was fōrcing him to drink.

When she was done, she had to help him into the car as he could no longer walk properly.

At least she could drive, she thought, smiling to herself, “Her mission was almost accomplished.” William used his phone to write something to his wife, although he could not wrap his head around what he was writing.

Then he turned off the phone and closed his eyes, at least he could do something even when he did not know what he was doing.

“Finally,” Kemi said as she turned her head to the back seat, glancing at William who was sleeping peacefully. She drove to her place.

When she got there, she tried her best to take him upstairs, making sure he took one step at a time until they both got to the room.

She placed him carefully on the bed as he snōred, unaware of where he was.

Kemi went to the bathroom to take a quick shower so that she could be relieved of the drink she had before proceeding to complete her mission.
