Mina The Side Chick episode 7

MINA THE SIDE CHICK

CHAPTER SEVEN

I woke up on the couch to find my cheating husband staring at me. Everyone’s attention was now on me. That’s when I realized that this whole event was a trap. His other wife, Sandrine, had someone watching my every move. That’s how she discovered I ran an eatery. Her contacting me and inviting me over was all part of her scheme. She didn’t approach me directly at first. I stood there, confused and unsteady.

“Oh wow, you’re awake. It was about time you woke up,” Sandrine said as she moved majestically into the living room.

“Hey guys, sorry for everything, but I think the party time is over. I would like to thank you all for coming to celebrate my little princess. It just so happens that a family emergency has come up and must be resolved,” she announced, ushering everyone out of her house.

“Sandrine, please don’t do this!” George pleaded.

“Oh, so now you’re begging me, George. You and your mom deceived me for seven years, George. One, two… seven. Seven good years,” Sandrine stated.

“But Mina has nothing to do with this either. She…”

“She is the only thing you think about,” she blurted out.

“But San…”

“She’s your side chick, for God’s sake!” she continued.

“What! Side what?” I asked, looking up at George, who couldn’t even maintain eye contact with me.

“Babe, don’t listen to what she’s saying. I was…” He struggled to explain himself.

“You were what, George?” Sandrine interrupted.

She turned to me.

“George and I have been married for seven good years. He told me he loved me and didn’t care about having kids. I thought he was true to me, only to find out from a friend that he has another woman somewhere with two kids.”

“You see!” she exclaimed, sitting down beside where I sat.

“In court, we signed a monogamous marriage contract, which by law proves that to this date, I am still his legal and only wife. You, on the other hand, are just my husband’s side chick.”

“But his mom and family…” I burst out crying, rushing to where my car was parked. When I reached the car, I sat down beside it and cried my eyes out.

By now, my kids would have probably opened the door to talk to me, but the unusual silence got me worried, and I decided to check on them. I had been gone for a very long time, leaving them in the car.

When I opened my car, my kids were nowhere to be found. Nuella and Emma were missing.

“Emma! Nuella!” I screamed, frantically searching for them.

George ran outside, and despite his efforts to find out what happened, I ignored him and continued calling my children’s names. My eyes were swollen as if stung by bees. I ran up the road, calling their names, checking if they were playing elsewhere. But it was to no avail.

I finally stopped when I saw Nuella’s ribbon beside a small well. I ran there, only to find my two children’s bodies Floating at the top of the well.

“Emma! Nuella!” These were my last words before I collapsed and found myself in the hospital on full drip.

Even when I woke up, my head wasn’t clear as I spoke off-key.

“Doctor, please, is my wife okay?” George asked.

“Your wife is going to be fine, Mr. George. She’s just experiencing traumatic stress right now.”

“Poor child! I can imagine how much pain she’s going through right now,” my mother-in-law uttered.

“What happened, son? How did you let this happen to your wife and kids?” she demanded.

“I did nothing, Mom. It was Sandra who invited her.”

“What? You mean that barren witch? Why would she do that?”

“Mom! She’s not barren; we have a daughter now.”

“Wow! We? Don’t tell me you’ve been sneaking behind your wife, sleeping with that witch?”

“Mom, please! Sandra is still my wife!”

“And Mina is your wife too! But look at what your stupidity has caused her. How can you be so foolish to stoop so low?”

“Oh, shoot, Mom! Look, I am sick and tired of you constantly telling me I haven’t done this, I have done that. It’s my life, okay! Let me manage it my way. Besides, you were the one who got me into this mess. I didn’t want to settle down with Mina, but you made me do it. Now look at what you’ve caused,” George said as he angrily stormed out.
