LOVE IN THE APARTMENT
EPISODE 3
Evening,
Jamie and Alex are discussing as they got home ,
As they walked in the door, Emily’s face lit up with a bright smile, but only for Jamie. “Hey, bro! How was your day?”
Jamie dropped his bag and gave Emily a hug. “It was good, sis. Just tired. How about you?”
Emily ignored Alex, who was standing right behind Jamie, and continued chatting with her brother.
After changing into comfortable clothes, they both headed to the sitting room, expecting their dinner to be ready. But to Alex’s surprise, Emily had only served Jamie.
“Hey, where’s my food?” Alex asked, trying to sound casual.
Emily turned around, a scowl on her face. “Oh, am I your cook now? Your personal maid? You can’t even be bothered to ask me how my day was, but you expect me to serve you food?”
Alex rolled his eyes. “Come on, Emily. Don’t be dramatic. I just asked a simple question.”
But Emily was having none of it. “A simple question? You think you can just waltz in here and demand food from me? I’m not your servant, Alex. If you want food, you can cook it yourself.”
Jamie tried to intervene, but Emily was too far gone. “No, Jamie, stay out of this. He needs to learn some manners.”
Alex threw up his hands. “Fine, I’ll cook my own food. But this is ridiculous. You’re acting like a child.”
Emily’s face turned red with rage. “How dare you! I’m not a child, and you need to start treating me with some respect.”
Alex’s eyes widened in disbelief as his stomach growled with hunger. “You’ve got to be kidding me, Emily!
Emily flared up, her eyes flashing with defiance. “What’s it to you? I cooked for my brother, not you.”
Alex’s anger simmered just below the surface. “But we’re flatmates, Emily! We’re supposed to share cooking duties.”
Emily shrugged, her expression unyielding. “I didn’t feel like cooking for you, okay?”
Jamie, who had been quietly observing the exchange, finally spoke up. “Hey, guys, let’s not fight about this.”
But Alex was having none of it. “You know what, Emily? I’ve had enough of your selfishness. I’ll make my own dinner.”
Emily stormed off to her room, slamming the door behind her. Jamie watched her go, then turned to Alex. “Hey, man, why don’t you share my food?”
But Alex was too angry and hurt to accept Jamie’s offer. “No, thanks. I’ll make my own dinner.”
He stalked into the kitchen, his mind racing with thoughts of Emily’s wicked behavior. How could she be so selfish and inconsiderate?
As he cooked his noodles, the silence in the flat was palpable. Jamie finished his dinner and retired to his room, leaving Alex alone in the sitting room.
Alex ate in silence, wondering to himself what kind of human Emily was. He finished his dinner, cleared his plates, and retired to his room for the night, his mind still reeling from the events of the evening…
