Love In The Apartment episode 2

LOVE IN THE APARTMENT
EPISODE 2

The next morning, Alex woke up early, determined to avoid Emily and get to work before she even woke up. He quietly got dressed and made his way to the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast.

As he was pouring himself a bowl of cereal, Emily walked into the kitchen, bleary-eyed and disheveled. She didn’t even acknowledge Alex’s presence, let alone say good morning.

Alex raised an eyebrow, taken aback by her rudeness. “Well, good morning to you too,” he said sarcastically, but Emily just ignored him.

As they both reached for the milk at the same time, their hands touched, and Emily let out a loud hiss. “Ugh, personal space, please!” she snapped, quickly pulling her hand back.

Alex was taken aback by her reaction. “Wow, sorry. I didn’t realize I was contagious,” he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Emily glared at him, her eyes flashing with annoyance. “Just…just be more careful next time, okay?”

Alex shrugged, feeling a surge of irritation. “Sure thing. I’ll make sure to wear gloves next time I’m in the kitchen.

Just then, Jamie walked into the kitchen, oblivious to the tension. “Hey, guys! Morning!”

Alex and Emily exchanged a brief, awkward glance before Alex turned back to Jamie. “Morning, Jamie. Just getting some breakfast.”

Jamie nodded, pouring himself a bowl of cereal. “Cool, cool. What’s going on?”

Emily muttered under her breath, “Nothing , Just Alex being his usual annoying self.”

Alex raised an eyebrow, but Jamie just chuckled. “Hey, hey, no fighting in the kitchen! We’re all friends here.”

But as they finished their breakfast, the tension between Alex and Emily was palpable. They barely spoke to each other, and when they did, it was with a hint of sarcasm and annoyance.

As they were leaving the flat, Emily’s carelessness struck again. She accidentally knocked over Alex’s bag, spilling his papers and files all over the floor.

But instead of apologizing, Emily just rolled her eyes and said, “Oh great, now look what’s happened.”

Alex was shocked. “You’re not even going to apologize?”

Emily shrugged. “What’s the point? You’re just going to get all uptight and annoying anyway.”

“Unbelievable,” Alex muttered under his breath, shaking his head.

Jamie, who was locking the door, rushed over to help Alex gather his scattered files. “Dude, I’m so sorry about that. She can be a bit of a handful sometimes.”

Alex glared at Emily, who was walking away, her shoulders hunched in defiance. “A bit of a handful? That’s an understatement “,

Jamie chuckled and patted Alex on the back. “Hey, You will survive, don’t worry about it. She’s just trying to get under your skin.”

Alex raised an eyebrow. “Well, she’s succeeding.”

As they finished packing up the files, Jamie turned to Alex and said, “You know, maybe you should try talking to her. Clear the air, you know?”

Alex snorted. “Are you kidding me? She’s not exactly the most pleasant person to be around.”

Jamie shrugged. “Yeah, but she’s my sister, and I know she’s got a good heart. Just…try, okay?”

Alex sighed and nodded. “Fine. But if she hisses at me again, I’m outta there.”

Jamie grinned. “Deal!”

As they left the flat, Alex couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. He had a feeling that his life was about to get a whole lot more complicated with Emily around.

Meanwhile, Emily was fuming. She couldn’t believe Alex’s attitude and his constant nitpicking. She was determined to avoid him as much as possible.

But as they walked to the bus stop, Emily found herself glancing over at Alex, who was walking ahead of them, his broad shoulders and dark hair a stark contrast to her own petite frame and blonde locks.

She quickly looked away, feeling a pang of guilt. Maybe she had been too harsh on him. But no, she told herself, he was just being a j**k.

Little did they know, their awkward encounters were only just beginning.

To be continued……
